After being put off for weeks trying to get an appointment from Northeastern Tree service, I made an appointment with Economy Tree Service. Despite their name, their quote was actually a bit higher that others. It was WELL worth the money. The owner, Jerry, is great to deal with. he's quite knowledgeable and professional. He exceeded my expectations by removing 4 of our trees well ahead of schedule.Man does this guy work hard and he has all of the most up-to-date, well-maintained equipment to complete the job. He also has a small crew to assist. The best part is when they are done they will remove what they cut down... he even took away some dead trees that were just laying on the property... job well done!!! Hurricane Sandy left me with two downed trees and two more leaning precariously in my backyard. After several unsuccessful calls to other tree services, Jerry and his crew from Economy Tree Service of NEPA came within 48 hours and skillfully took away my worries. He even gave me a gentleman's estimate for future work on my yard. Five months later, once I had money saved, I called Jerry again to remove and trim a few more trees. The owner is a trained arborist and knows how to do the job right. Some other local tree services don't trim trees properly so when they grow back they develop weak branches that will break off in the wind or will even kill the tree (there is a right and wrong way to do this.) I've heard of insurance companies not covering claims from broken tree branches if the tree wasn't pruned properly. I would highly recommend Economy Tree Service. read more

I'm ashamed that I did not think of reviewing Economy Tree Service before now. And, for sure, I won't be able to say enough good things about our experience with them. First, their estimate was excellent, well below others that we received. Jerry, the owner, is very professional. His crew is hard working and capable. We had over 20 huge evergreens removed due to disease and age. The job was extensive. I was having surgery at the time the job was being done but my husband said that Jerry was present at ALL times and the work was completed efficiently and carefully. Some of these trees were very close to our home as well as our neighbors and we were concerned with the potential for what could have been a catastrophic liability. We needn't have been. Jerry and his crew did an amazing job over a few days. When I finally was able to return home I was apprehensive to see how our property would look. The yard looked different, obviously, but immaculate. There was NO debris to be found, anywhere. I so highly recommend Jerry. I could go on but I can say with total confidence that we will look no further if we ever need his services again! read more
