You are smack in the middle of everything. But it does feel like a college dorm room. No A/C and lots of loud noises throughout the day and night. The biggest complaint I have is the coffee situation. I've stayed all over Europe and this place doesn't have any coffee machine/bags/cups or anything for a morning cup in the room. If you pay 14€ for breakfast at the downstairs restaurant, you can have unlimited cups out of the Laurin restaurant machine. But I can't believe they don't offer that machine to hotel guests from 8am-10am. Give me a token or something. It's 2024. I don't know of any decent hotels that don't offer coffee in room for their guests. Additionally the front desk staff could barely speak English (which is fine - I understand it's not America)....but I got better service and English from the alley baristas down the road. They aren't hugely accommodating, helpful, or gracious. It's a basic room in a great area. Go to Sweet Spot Kaffee a few yards down the alley to the left for unbelievable coffee. Flat whites for the win!

We spent a night here on our way back from Salzburg and could not have had a better experience. The hotel is in a small town with a very good market across the street and a few restaurants nearby (in addition to the good hotel restaurant across the parking lot. We arrived earlier than normal check-in time and were not only accommodated but upgraded to a nicer room. The manager could not have been more helpful and friendly, and helped arrange taxis to and from the airport (we had to return a car). There is also a Hallbergmoos train stop from Munich and Uber cars available in the area, though taxis are more prevalent. The rooms are simple and very clean, with very modern bathrooms. There is no elevator, which could be an issue for some guests, but it didn't bother us at all. If you try to stay away from chain hotels, particularly when traveling in Europe where there are so many local options, this is a great alternative around the Munich Airport. Highly recommend.

They have a bar and restaurant inside and a pool, sauna and gym as well! You can add the mini bar to your reservation at a decent price too! All of the staff was very hospitable! Through Priceline I just booked a 700+ sq ft room that can sleep up to 3 people. The hotel was not willing to put me in the room type I paid for and refused to refund my money. Priceline stated there was nothing they can do. I literally called them within 3 minutes of booking and my stay isn't for close to a month from now.

Services in the bar and restaurant were exceeding expectations. The price was fairly reasonable too. Enjoyed the sort of small courtyard for little wine and chat with F&F in the evening. Now, some negatives. Rooms were well sized and spacious, quite clean too, but old and require updating. The main issue is antiquated A/C system that doesn't work properly. This is not true A/C, more like fan that provides air flow, but doesn't really refrigerate an air inside the room. Interesting: we has exactly the same issue in June in Bologna, Italy where we stayed in June in Mercure. Also, it is busy location, so it was noisy in the mornings for light sleepers, like myself. We had to open windows just to sleep, and the morning noise woke me up. Finally, it is not a great area of Munich, at least on one side the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. Not horrible, bit still. If you walk in the opposite direction, it is convenient and easy walk to the center.

Hotel La Villa is truly a picturesque place for weddings and as this was a destination wedding, it was very small so the grounds worked well. The hotel is set higher up from the lake which has a very nicely manicured garden and grassy banks going down to the lake. It's a bit steep so for wedding guests who are elderly or have trouble walking, you may want to have staff transport them on the golf cart they have. There's a small bar on the shore with a few tables which sit right on the shoreline. The views are stunning! There's also a small pier, part of it is covered and they house some small tour boats. On the shore they also have a decent sized space for the wedding ceremony. My brother and his wife chose to have the guests face towards the lake and we in the wedding party faced the hotel. They had rows of benches covered in white linens. We brought our own flowers, decor, and my brother-in-law officiated. The hotel was accommodating on all these points. The reception was held in their main hall which was essentially a room of windows and was beautiful! Spacious for 50 people which left room for a decent sized dance floor. Guests faced the lake view once again. The staff was very professional and personable. They truly catered to all of our needs and the level of service was top notch! The food at the reception was also delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. There were several courses and aside from skipping the seafood, I truly enjoyed all of them except the dessert. I think having the dessert and wedding cake wasn't necessary and the wedding cake they served was so good that the peach tart was a hard and not very flavorful. The wedding took place on a Tuesday so I'm sure our rates were much cheaper than on the weekend. I would love to visit this hotel again just to relax by the lake!
