ED Payne ford Weslaco Tx. our van has been there since october first. It show up it was heating, we bought it in that same place on 2017 cash. the inside y happens right in front of the dealership so it was easier to go there. well the invoice for recommended service was of $6295.69, even tho they stated it wasn't overheat but to prevent because some stuff was old/damage. We agreed, Vas was supposed to be don't by Friday 10. Well on Thursday 9 we got a called that they broke a stud that was stuck, so now it increased to a bit more of $7,300. Obviously I asked why were they charging that much for their own mistake. the cost was removed. Spoke to Tony back and forth. After that was don, of course they had to many their money right?, on Friday they magically notice the exhaust needed to be replace, they voice an extra charge of $390. 00 well it went up to over $7500. ( because they had removed the other amount) they couldn't increase on service, so they increased on parts. I called for an updat, now they are keeping my van till the following Thursday. Mind you, this is the van I use for my cerebral palsy son. I'm spending more than expected. seams to feel that John Castillo, with the approval of his Manager Tony, keeps finding something to increase the cost of service, while I struggle between transporting my one and canceling appointments after his surgery. If anything that has need change without need, or charged and not changed and my van have issues in the following year.. I'll make the mentioned above and Edpayne responsible, since the company is letting this type of employees work and do as they pleased. yes, I agreed to the changes trusting them, since is the VAN I use to transport my children. Dealership does have a variety of selection but unfortunately salesman and manager eager to make a deal and sign without initially showing, test driving, and putting vehicle through inspection. Mr Ramiro G. will interrupt and speak over you being condescending with technical terminology to make you feel degraded. Can be very rude. May need to file complaint. Issues with signal lights were stated by salesmen and manager that they would get taken care of but did NOT fix. Make sure everything is in writing before signing. Their word is not valid and means nothing. Need to overlook salesmen more closely regarding how they speak to customers. read more

Turbo actuator went out on the Dodge they were able to get the part in it took a little longer then they first quoted but was under the price the first quoted too. I recently bought my car here, about a year ago. When I purchased it I was told I was going to get 3 oil changes at the companies expense. This turns out to be a "maintenance plan". I wasn't informed that the maintenance plan would expire. Upon bringing my car, I'm confident it's on the house because of what was agreed upon. The gentleman taking my car informs me that it ha expired regardless of only having 1 oil change done in the car. This was very misinformed, and I don't appreciate it. Went for an oil change to Ed Payne 4/18/'19 for the first time and was pleased with the service. Made an appointment for recall work for the next day (4/19/'18) for 9:00 a.m. Was told it might take up to 3 hours to complete the recall work. Arrived at 8:30 a.m. At 12:45 p.m. I asked the assistant manager how much longer it was going to take. He said they had NOT even started on my truck. I told him to bring my truck to me as I was leaving. I am very disappointed in Ed Payne's service department. Needless to say, I will never go back to Ed Payne's business operation. I purchased a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon on October 9, 2019. Today is November 1st. My trade-in has not been paid off. I spoke to Chrysler financial and they have no loan information on me. I contacted Ed Payne Motors in Weslaco and they had no clue that this was going on. They made some calls and apparently my file was not found. The next day "it was located" and they were going to expedite it. A week later, I check online and noticed that my trade-in still has not been paid off and now there is a late fee. I called Chrysler FInancial and AGAIN they did not have any information. I contacted my sales representative AGAIN and I got the same story. He stated they would "rush" my file. A few days later---still nothing. The sad thing is that I gave them a stellar survey but the post customer service was completely unacceptable---horrible. It is like they do not care. I told my sales rep that I expect to speak to a manager and no one has called me. I emailed them but no reply. I left a message on their web site and guess what?? No reply. It is apparent that after the deal is done customer service is non-existent. I went to the dealership and asked if that car was still available. I was told that it was. A salesman took me to the vehicle and I test drove the vehicle. I liked the vehicle so we started to negotiate a deal. I asked the salesman what was the lowest price he would take because I was not paying the asking price. He said only the salesmanager could lower the price. He said that he was going to ask him. He came back sometime later with the price. He said the price of the vehicle was $21,900 but they would let me have it for $19,900 if I bought it that day. I told him that was $2,000 more than the sale price. He said that price in the add was with $2000.00 payment. I showed him the add it did not mention anything about a down payment. The salesmanager then said they would let me have it for $17,900. By that time I was furious. I asked the salesmanager for the keys to my vehicle back because I was not going to do any business with a bunch of liars. He was not even fazed by it. I guess he he knows he is liar so it doesn't bother him. Needless to say I will never shop at that dealership again or recommend it to anybody. Fact I had even taken my mom to buy her car there giving them the second chance of my bad experince.that's when the windshield problem came up candido from service said to bring back the car at 3 when the windshield guys were right there outside I payed the 10 bucks problem fix but I had to pay or else get out of work at 3 for free windshield repair . That same day we had cancel the warranties on the car about 3 days ago i called to check on the cancelations they said theyll going to call back when they had found the paper work three days and still waiting for the call. They are awful. Michael R. and his manager basically tried to bully us into buying the car while keeping us from reading the carfax on this "accident free" car. We escaped and read that the car had 3 owners and was in an accident. I also read in KBB that the same year model, in the same condition is a whopping $7k less in suggested fair price than what they were asking (more like demanding) for it!! Avoid this dealer! I would like to tell everyone about my personal experience. I purchased a mustang from the Payne Dodge center with a clean "carfax".. Later I hit the door on the drivers side, and had realized the paint in the back by the gas thingy had been cracking for quite some time (shortly after I purchased it, but hadn't thought anything of it), so when I took it to a collision center to get an estimate for the door I asked about the paint in the back (out of curiosity).. They're like oh it's because it's been crashed before.. Went to Payne and they're like oh no it's never been wrecked.. Showed us their "carfax" and they're like but we can have the people from our collision center look at it, so they can tell you that it hasn't been crashed.. I'm like okay.. They're like they're not in right now, but when they are later today we can call you so you can come back and they can look at it.. I'm like okay.. They NEVER called!!! 3 weeks went by and my Dad decides to go to the Payne collision center on his own and asked them without saying what was going on and they're like oh it's cuz it's been wrecked! Their own people threw them under the bus, and they're saying they don't want the car back, and that they aren't giving me my money back! I am now filing a lawsuit, because they violated the DFTA! Do NOT do business with this dealership!! This dealership has be the most unprofessional, unethical, shady place in the valley. First of all, the salesmen are uneducated and incompetent. The finance department is crooked and lie to financing banks about household income and employment to get customers approved, no matter how poor their credit score is, or how high the customers interest rate will end up at, at the end of the deal. To make a long story short, my elderly parents went by the dealership as many of our parents do, to "window shop" knowing that they probably should not and could not qualify for a auto loan due to credit and being on a fixed income. The salesman lured them in, along with the finance manager.... ran their credit, got them into a large, used, overpriced vehicle approval with an 18% interest rate. They were going to end up paying double what the vehicle sale price was at the of the 6yr. agreement. We took the vehicle back, cancelled the contract with the bank, and just to have the fiance manager try to persuade my parents into another over priced vehicle. When they refused to take any vehicle from that dealership, he pretty much insinuated that my parents only got approved the first time because he had a "good relationship" with the bank that approved them?? What was funny, was that my mother later showed me a paper where the finance manager himself, wrote false income on a paper, and ask her to tell the bank that that was her income when they would contact her via phone, although it was not.
