Booked their DJ, sound equipment and lightening for a work gala event with ~100 attendees and a few ceremony elements and I could not have been more impressed. The good: highly professional and helpful DJ who was early to the event and actively looked for ways to make my life easier all night. Great music selection with limited input. Awesome equipment. We were able to get uplighting for the room dance floor lighting multiple microphones, speakers and the DJ setup without a single technical issue. The amount of compliments I received for the DJ almost made me feel guilty. If they have availability there is no excuse to not book Eddie B. read more

This is a delayed review, but better late than never! When my sister got married in the late '90s, she used Eddie B for her wedding. Almost 20 years later, I used them for my own wedding! That goes to show you must be doing something right if you've been in the business for that long! Eddie was incredibly friendly from the start. I forgot the name of the DJ that actually did our wedding, but he was awesome! He played everything that was requested of him and a few other hits that were complementary. We hired Eddie B & Company for our wedding in Miami Florida. Eddie himself always answered the phone and when we did need to leave a message he'd return the call quickly. Planning was easy with his website: it has forms for song selections for things such processional as well as others like the cake cutting. Overall the forms helped with our organization and are simple to use. Our DJ was Ray and he did an outstanding job! DJ Roberto was AMAZING! He was so sweet and thoughtful and he did a great job of facilitating our wedding party's entrance to dinner along with the toasts, cake cutting, etc. We had live musicians who sang our first few dance songs, and DJ Roberto worked with the performers to create seamless transitions between the recorded DJ music and the live music. He definitely kept the party going on the dance floor! DJ Roberto's son managed the photobooth. I don't think he interacted much with the guests, but he had a ton of great props and did a good job of keeping the photobooth line moving. We love the photobook we got at the end with a copy of each photostrip and little notes from our guests! DJ Eddie B (the company owner and our main contact until the week of the wedding) was a little tough to work with - he did not always respond to questions that we emailed to him and he was not very flexible about accommodating our requests. For example, he would not provide a microphone for us to use during the ceremony even though he did provide a microphone to use for toasts. The company also failed to make our photobooth template the correct color even after I emailed Eddie a color swatch and spoke with him on the phone to confirm. Our wedding colors were light, oceany blues/greens/aquas and the template turned out to be a bright green. Not a huge deal, but it was frustrating to have our requests ignored. We had DJ Chris at our wedding and he was good! Very friendly, and even let my little flower girl MC a little bit which she was absolutely thrilled! We had an outdoor wedding, and even though the weather was extremely windy he still managed to get a lot of people on the dance floor and stay pretty close to the timeline. My only complaint would be the gentleman who worked our Photo Booth mirror. I didn't even get his name because he didn't introduce himself. My mother in law had to request him to get out the props for the Photo Booth, because he said he didn't put them out to begin with because it was a hassle. When me and my husband looked through the photobook the next day we were a little disappointed that he did not have the guests write down a note next to their pictures. We were told that he was going to have every guest take a picture and write a note and not all of our guests took pictures or wrote any notes. Overall I was satisfied with the company I was just disappointed with how the Photo Booth mirror was handled. read more

We were referred to Eddie B by the venue we booked our wedding at, they set us up with DJ Chris and I could not be happier with him! He accommodated some of unusual but special requests, he also let us pick many of our own songs and pricked up on the vibe we wanted and put his own excellent song selections in the mix as well. He was also easy to work with and would simply text back and forth rather than call or email when needed which fit our schedule better. He was very fun and made even our shy guests feel comfortable enough to get up and dance and be involved! DJ Chris is the best! Also we had a photo booth, I do not remember the name of who was running the booth but he did an excellent job as well! He was there to make sure the camera operated smoothly, was able to zoom in or out depending how big the group was and made sure we got a copy of each photo! Chris, from Eddie B & Company, DJ'd our Annual Company Holiday Party and he over exceeded our expectations. He was phenomenal. He honored all of my requests perfectly. I had specific songs for specific employees as they received their awards and he was on point for all of them, and the timing was impeccable. Everyone enjoyed the music and danced along to all the hit songs. I know who will DJ our black-tie event again next year. I highly recommend him for any event, he will not let you down. Everyone was still talking about how great the evening was and how smoothly it flowed with the amazing DJ Chris. I did extensive research before choosing our DJ and know that I made the right choice. Our DJ for our wedding reception was Oliver Medina, from Eddie B and Company. We had not expected to have a DJ, and about two weeks before the wedding we realized we needed to get one for the reception. I called Eddie B, as several of our friends had used them for their weddings and we were really impressed. Despite the short notice, Eddie set us up with Oliver, who did a fantastic job. He was super professional and played amazing music - we had a few songs that we particularly wanted played and he did, and he worked well off the crowd, but did it just with the music. We didn't want any crazy "entertainer" antics and Oliver was great. The price was very reasonable and a great value. I can hardly believe the poor reviews that people left here! Maybe there are two Eddie B's in the world, but the one that handled two major events at my business, the Facility, was outstanding! They literally provided the energy! I found Eddie to be a gregarious, easy-going and focused businessman. He provided suggestions, made changes, and truly orchestrated the entire program! I referred Eddie to one of my clients who loved him, and another client that does weddings as a wedding planner loved him! Like all businesses, sometimes communication is a problem, and maybe the people who had a poor result simply didn't express the exact details of what was necessary. In my case, which were both Charity events, the D.J was spot on, guaged the crowd, did the announcing, and provided great music. We met with a sales associate at the Eddie B and Company office in Lauderhill. The sales associate was knowledgable and showed us a wide variety of things we could use at our wedding. He was not able to negotiate however and we waited for a call from Eddie himself. Eddie called and was very accommodating, he was able to put together a nice package within our budget. We were given Mark Evens as our Dj, not sure if they matched him to us or if we lucked out but on the day of the event Mark proved to be great, he knew when to get on the mic and rouse the crowd and when to sit back and allow the night to flow. He was polite and accommodating to a large and varied crowd. There were a few songs that he played that didn't go over well and Mark did a great job phasing them out and moving on to something better accepted. We definitely suggest to spend the extra on the up lighting, it really created a dramatic effect for the room, well worth it. In all we had a great time read more

Here's the deal: I feel only minimally bad giving Eddie B. two stars since technically he played the music I asked but he also was rude to my guests and rude to me (the bride.) Examples: When my flamboyant and zealous friend was giving a toast, he was waving the microphone around a bit and not holding it directly up to his face. I heard, with my OWN ears, Eddie B. behind me saying "Jesus Christ!" in irritation; When my friends asked for salsa music, they complained to me that the DJ was rude and wasn't "ready" to play that; When my niece and her friend wanted to show off their dance routine for us, Eddie B. was obviously aggitated at the "surprise"; I had asked Eddie B. to announce my grandmother's birthday, which was the next day. Mind you, my grandmother was in a wheelchair and traveled over a thousand miles for my wedding. At some point she went to bed and I asked Eddie B. why he did not announce her birthday, to which he basically made it my fault because I had to leave the scene to put out a metaphorical fire with the best man. The DJ blamed the bride for his incompetence. That was the kicker for me. I demanded that my husband not tip him but unfortunately he already did tip him. My husband and my father literally had to hold me back. I posted a similar review on Martha Stewart Weddings and 6 months later Eddie B. contested my review so I had to send proof I hired him, which I did. And I stand by my review(s). read more

Seriously, just put together a play-list on your ipod. Don't waste your money on these guys. Our DJ just played our suggested song list in the exact order I wrote it in with no thought to what songs should be played at what point in the evening. Had I known that was the plan, I would have put the list together in better order. The best dance songs on our list were played at a low volume over dinner instead of on the dance floor. They made so many mistakes at my wedding, I can't list them all here, but aside from the aforementioned, here are some highlights: 1 - Played Havah Nagilah when there was NO ONE on the dance floor to dance the horah - I had to scramble to get people up to dance with me. Hugely embarrassing (and the pics are really sad too) 2 - Announced dinner too early and upset the boat crew, who were not ready for everyone to move to the dining room. 3 - Played with his phone all night instead of watching the crowd to gauge their experience. 4 - Did not have "Gagnam Style" in his computer. It was not on our requested song list, but our guests asked for it at the wedding, and everyone was totally shocked that he did not have it on hand as this was the most popular song in America at this point in time. 5 - I requested a specfic song to be played at the conclusion of the ceremony, and I did not hear it. The company owner said that was because the speakers on the top level of the boat are too small to play loudly enough for everyone to hear. Something you ought to tell someone in advance, no?? The DJ did not mention this issue when I made the request. I had a musician on board who could have played instead. This company pretty much just offers you a warm body to play your songlist. You could get a friend to do the same in exchange for a nice gift. I did call to complain to the owner but he offered me no recourse of any kind. He defended the DJ (who was a nice guy, but did not offer truly professional DJ services in my view) instead of listening to my concerns. I spent a good chunk of my own wedding feeling stressed about the music and the vibe of the evening. A total waste of money. read more

We used Eddie B (himself) in 2001 for our wedding. He was amazing then in every area of the service. Fast forward 18 years later to 2019, in planning our daughters Sweet 16 event, we reached out to him, he listened, guided and set us up with DJ Pedro. We had about 35-40 teenagers between 15-18 yrs old. DJ Pedro was communicative with us on what was coming next, the whole time with a smile on his face, a great attitude and hit the playlist and current music along with transitions smoothly. This guy is awesome!! Even played a couple of old school house music jams for me! The DJ can either MAKE or BRAKE any party and our feedback was it was the best Sweet 16 of 2019. Wedding of the Century!!! I'm SOOOOO HAPPY that we went with DJ Eddie B & Co. to provide the music, photography, and videography for our wedding. What a great, convenient package! Eddie B. was with us every step of the way, from my phone calls and emails to our in-person meetings. You can see Eddie's passion for his business, which sealed the deal for us. He is enthusiastic, fun, and great to work with! He selected DJ ROB for our wedding, and what a great choice that was. DJ ROB WAS OFF THE HOOK! He played all of my requested songs (& didn't play the songs I asked him not to play). He had all of my 170 guests, including my grandma, on the dance floor for the entire night. Everyone kept telling me on the night of the wedding and the days to follow how our wedding was "the best wedding that they had ever been to...it was so much fun!!!" I left a message for him concerning my daughter's wedding and received a call back in 5 minutes. He was very energetic and passionate about making sure she had everything she wanted and answered all questions we had over a year's time of booking with him. His reviews on the Wedding Wire and The Knot were almost 1000 very positive reviews. Eddie met with us to go over every little detail. We were so impressed with him and his office showroom, that we ended up with not only a phenomenal DJ/MC, Eddie himself, but also added the Photo Booth (which our guests LOVED) and the up lights and monogram with their names which made the ambiance so beautiful and my daughter so elated. Everything was set up 1 1/2 hours before the scheduled start time. Eddie made us feel so at ease, joking around with my very nervous daughter, helped calm her nerves. He introduced everyone with such enthusiasm and got everyone involved in the celebration. He packed the dance floor and played not only what we requested, but the guests commented on how accommodating he was to the songs they wanted to hear. Everyone loved the Photo Booth, which constantly had a line. I am giving a poor review because I am very disappointed in which your company handled our wedding. At first we were impressed by DJ Ray, very outgoing and gregarious, got everyone up on the dance floor great energy. The company seemed very organized they even gave a packet full of songs to choose from, from the recessional to the processional, cake cutting and everything in between. We decided to go with the company because our venue Lavan had them on their preferred vender list and recommended them. Eddie B and company has worked with Lavan Catering Events many times before and Lavan said great things about them. We trusted them since both companies worked with each other before and figured there would be no issues. I have to say although my wife and I did have a good time and the music was good, we are beyond upset and disappointed! My wife and I spent many months carefully researching and picking songs. In the week or two leading up to the wedding we filled out the form "Agenda for Wedding Reception." On that form we legibly wrote what song my wife was to dance to with her father, and what song I was to dance to with my mother, what song for the bouquet toss etc. Well our wedding day came and I am sad to say my wife did not get to dance with her Father, I did not get to dance with my mother, and we had a bouquet specially made for the toss and that did not happen as well! How do you miss those very special and important moments in a wedding? We have no pictures of my wife dancing with her father and the same goes for my mother and I. My wife did not even have a bouquet toss! We are horribly disappointed with this company! When I called to complain all DJ Ray said was I'm sorry, and gave a very poor excuse and blamed it on the venue saying that they were dictating to him what time things needed to come out, in regards to food etc. Don't use an excuse like that! You have worked with our venue many times. You knew where the venue was, you know who to talk to organize time lines, and coordinating and if you don't, you call and find out! That is your job! Your job is to play the music and follow the list that you gave us! How do you just say sorry and that's it! We paid a lot of money and you did not deliver! We can never get those precious moments back and we can't redo our wedding! When I called and spoke to you about this matter I was expecting some sort of reciprocity. Maybe give part of our money back, something, after all you did not deliver! That may have been the appropriate and just thing to do, but all you said was sorry! Well I hate to break it to you but sorry is not enough! If you are looking for a DJ company to use DO NOT use Eddie B and Company, they have horrendous customer service and they will ruin your wedding! read more

The MOST critical element of my daughter's Sweet 16 Party was the DJ. OMG, DJ Elow was AMAZING!! And we got him because Eddie B cared enough to learn about our event so that he could provide us the DJ who would be most fitting for us! 16 year olds are very seasoned party guests (Quince's and Sweet 16's abound!!), so, they are good critics. They LOVED DJ Elow!! He not only made my daughter happy by playing EVERYTHING she put on her playlist, but, he really WOW'd everyone by his quick response to special requests. They said most DJ's act like they are going to play requests, but never do. AND, after the party he actually told her how he hoped she had a great time and took a photo with her. EVERYONE was AMAZED. They said most DJ's just sneak out and never say anything. My husband is SUPER picky about "sound" and he was SO IMPRESSED by the QUALITY of the SOUND!!
