The woman working the cashier was very welcoming and told us about a lot of other art opportunities we could explore (Sandwich Heritage Garden being one of them). The garden was just acquired last year and it is a beautiful, serene, magical little gem with little stone pathways to explore different parts and a few benches to enjoy the outdoors. It's a short distance from a brewery, Dunkin', and Cape Cod Coffee. It is fairly easy to find, housed in a small historic home. Admission is $8, plus there is a small gift shop. Members of the tribe give tours, there is a replica of a native house, one learns about the life of the Wampanoag, the "Indians of Thanksgiving." A recent exhibit was about the lives of Wampanoag whalers, and the importance of the whale to native life. There is ample parking beside a traditional herring run that is still in use. Fascinating, insightful museum, well worth a visit.
