As you walk in the door to this church, people greet you and tell you, they are glad you are there. Then, as you move into the church, someone will greet you and tell you about the Church, they will give you a gift bag and answer any questions you may have. I felt very loved at this church. They have many opportunities to fellowship with other church members. They have an all men's group meet on Thursday night at 7 o'clock at the church. They have a coed Bible Study every Wednesday night at 7 o'clock at the church, which is wonderful. I have met so many new people on Wednesday. It started out well enough; the messages, music and atmosphere were great, but I didn't meet anyone and no one tried to get to know me either. That didn't bother me at first, after all I hadn't joined any groups or done any volunteering. Eventually, after a year I thought I would like to know SOMEONE at that church so I signed up for a life group. Well, I never got any response from the groups I tried contacting and had to give it up. Fast forward a year and I was seriously dating someone, who enjoyed the services with me enough to push me to try life groups again so I tried the right way and attended the big "life group meet" after church as was instructed during the service. We signed up for 3 different groups and wouldn't you know it. NONE of them emailed or called. We took it upon ourselves and tried emailing, we tried calling, we left messages. Yep, no response. This point I'm feeling done. I gave this church three stars because the sermons are really actually good and I liked the music. We both felt that we had a lot still left to offer, And began to think that we needed to move elsewhere. We were a drift for a couple years and tried out several places before trying Skyline Church in O'Fallon, IL. I consider myself a very grounded Christian, so I am familiar with biblical and non-biblical doctrine. Some of the places we try it out seemed more like self-help centers, rather than helping you to nourish a personal relationship with your savior. Someone we knew once went to skyline so we decided to try there, and I'm so glad we did! It pretty much felt like home right away. The worship is amazing week after week and Pastor Jeff nails his sermons every week! There's no beating you over the head, but there is no sweet talking sin either! The demographic at this church is a nice blend of middle age and older as well as a larger percentage of younger families. Lots of kids and kid activities! If you are looking for a new place to call home, this just might be it!

I'm sorry but it's true and I am much braver and able to speak up now that I have left. The word "disingenuous" comes to mind when I think of the main Pastor (Doug). They were posted by long standing members of this church. They were posted for a church that had zero reviews before mine. They were posted by individuals who have never posted a single review ever with the exception of a review for this church.
