We usually order our flowers with customization in colours and preferences through the wechat app and the owner is pretty responsive to our orders. However, on busier days such as Mother's Day, the owner is super disoriented and gives you whatever pre-made bunch of flowers she has on hand. I ended up with two bouquets that are purple, even though that is not what I have ordered. The owner stated that she had given my bouquet earlier to someone else who came to pick up and therefore is giving me someone else's purple bouquet as well. You can let the owner know your budget for the flowers and she came make the magic happen for you. I usually order $50 bouquets in advance with requests of peonies and no lilies. Her wrapping has gotten more modern and beautiful over time which is great that she is keeping with trends! There are also single stem flowers and premade bouquets that you can purchase on the spot. A big tip for this shop is to pre-order early and don't pick up your flowers on a busy day/ holiday like Mother's Day. Pick up your flowers a day before and have it readily available at home to make sure you get what you actually ordered! Overall, would I order from here again? Yes - because it's cheap! Is it a gamble with your flower colour? Yes - but I'm willing to take the risk for it!

I told her about my situation and she asked a lot of good questions like who the bouquet was for, what was their relation, if they had favourite colours or flowers, to help narrow down what the ideal arrangement would be. Next, she asked for my budget. Once I decided on an amount, I was rung up ahead of time. It is a little spooky to pay ahead of time without an idea of what you're getting but I was sort of in a pinch without any other options. She let me know that they'd need about 30-45 minutes to pick something up and that she'd give me a call when they were ready. They were done in about 40 minutes sand I received the call to come by. The bouquet was absolutely gorgeous! The front room has a refrigerated case with some flowers but I don't think that is there entire inventory because there was a huge variety of stems in my bouquet than I saw displayed. I can't describe how pretty it was with the assortment of lilies, roses, and greens that were in there. I was there for the unpacking of the flowers and the wrapping was expertly done. There were several layers of paper and they were matching with the flowers and very high quality with a nice texture. The flowers were really packed in water so they didn't wilt on their 3 hour journey around the GTA. They were also trimmed so there was nothing to do except put them in a vase and sit back to admire them!

We were assured they 'do even better work' than the previous owners, so we went ahead. They estimated $150. Then due to time of year shortages of flowers, and us asking for orchids raised the estimate to $250. I had mentioned at one point 'if you need a little more to do the finest job, that's ok'. I was surprised when they charged my card $305 dollars plus tax and delivery, $376. The standing spray that was delivered contained a dozen white roses, 6 calla Lillies, six spider mums and a few other stems around the outside. No orchids ($300?). It was a mostly green bouquet, and didn't come close to the quality of other bouquets that day. We apologized to the family and were so upset that we nearly (but didn't) ask for a refund. We should have just bought dozens of simple white rose bouquets (or gone elsewhere, and next time we will). Little value for money. However, it wasn't a big deal for me since I live close enough and am at T&T often enough that I can head upstairs for a quick check. It had flowers and plants spilling out into the mall in lush green and bright floral displays. There were a ton of kumquat trees of all sizes in preparation for Chinese New Year. The smaller potted ones started from $35 all the way up to big trees for businesses that were hundreds of dollars. They also had a lot of holiday flowers like poinsettia varieties in the front that were a beautiful, vibrant red and a pretty good price as well. We confirmed the pricing with a gentleman that was working there and he checked with an older lady who seemed to be running the show. At checkout they told us about care instructions including how often to water the plant.

They set the expectation that the flowers would not be delivered same day, and it was totally understandable as it was the day before Christmas. It was so nice of them to tell me ASAP and gave me a realistic update, and made sure that they would be delivered on Dec 27th. On Dec 26th, I found out that my co worker has already gone home from the hospital and I needed to update the delivery address, so I emailed & left them a voicemail. Even though the shop was closed for the holidays, I still received an email confirmation about an hour later and I was rest assured that address would be updated. It was a great experience with Metro Florist inc from start to finish and I would definitely re-order from here again in the future :)
