This is a cute and cozy spot in Downtown, Marysville. I came across it by accident, looking for local coffee in the area. They are a bit hidden but have a huge sign that says "bakery" outside their door. I decided to try it out and I'm glad I did! I was sweetly surprised when I saw that they serve Camellia Coffee Roasters (a Sacramento gem), so I ordered the horchata cold brew. It didn't taste like the one that is served at Camellia, but it was still tasty! I also got an almond muffin which was affordably priced and delicious. I do wish it had less sugar on top, I ended up scraping a lot of the sugar off. They have lots of food to choose from, so I look forward to trying other options. They have street parking right outside their door. Inside there is plenty of comfy seating, a tv, and detailed decor. It's a nice spot for those looking to work or study. Came in on a rainy Thursday around 11:15am. Audrey was there and friendly as usual. We ordered our standby biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were beautifully baked and the gravy was creamy and loaded with sausage. We also tried the pumpkin bread with chocolate chips. The piece was huge : ) It was well baked (a little crisp top) and moist inside. It tasted great with the chocolate chips too!! Definitely a must try for anyone who likes pumpkin bread. So glad we tried something different. And as usual the sitting area was clean and neat as a pin. read more

Denise is as sweet as can be and has the perfect display for their many unique pastries and desserts to choose from. I've tried their stuffed croissants, cinnamon rolls, fudge, and brownies. You'll love the cinnamon rolls if you like icing vs. cream cheese. The brownies are a fudgy dark chocolate which I love but wish they were a little thicker. Finally made it in early enough that there was a great selection. Excellent offerings. A blueberry hand pie with pastry that if flaky, tasty, and cooked. Not the unbaked cardboard that seems to be the norm now. tT sort of unbaked cardboard pie crust where yo scoop the filling out and skip the crust. Husband had a sandwich on ciabatta. Excellent all around, with pesto, tomatoe, spinach and turkey. Excellent, he tells me. We bought two other beautiful pastries that I have not sampled yet, so I will add to this review shortly. What a charming & cute little shop owned by Denise & her husband Dave. Both are such sweet people. The minute you walk in you feel welcomed with a warm smile & the smell is delicious. They have varieties of freshly baked goodies, from banana nut bread, cheesecakes, carrot cake, salted chocolate cookies (which are ginormous) way too many to list. We had the cookie, cheesecake & carrot cake which are all delicious. The price is pretty reasonable as well. Give them a visit guys & support local businesses in Yuba City. read more

Denise is the absolute best!! I am so glad I came across edible memories. Her Facebook page has way more pictures of her delicious cupcakes and cakes and the pictures don't lie. I needed a baby shower cake and had a Pinterest cake design with cupcakes I wanted, not only did it come out just like my picture the cake and cupcakes were soo delicious. Everyone at the party asked where I got them from. Denise was so helpful and even let me borrow a cake stand that matched the color scheme of the party. With so many flavor options I'm so glad I chose the chocolate truffle cupcakes with a carrot cake. Soo soo scrumptious. And her prices are so reasonable! I ordered and paid for a cake for my sons baptism. They don't take orders over the phone so I had to go in person. When I went to pick it up, they never made it. So I had a party of people and no cake. Very disappointed. I got a refund but I won't be ordering from them again. Can't count on them actually making the cake. read more

First met Denise at the bridal show here in town. Her samples were delicious the best I tried that day. I set up a tasting with her before she had her own store and met with assistant who was very helpful. We ordered a 3 tier naked cake for my vow renewal and I'm told it was amazing (we were so busy I didn't get any) it was beautiful and just how I wanted it. Went in today for a couple desserts for a little bday get together tonight. And Denise was so sweet she remembered us again and the cupcakes we got were a hit with kids again. She is always kind and helpful and the desserts are always delicious. She's my number one bakery! We've never experienced anything but kindness and great customer service. So glad I came across this bakery while at Taste of Yuba-Sutter! I had planned on making a carrot cake for a birthday this week, and at 40 weeks pregnant was so glad I found a better option because I was feeling both exhausted and grouchy! I don't even like carrot cake, but OMG I think this bakery has permanently changed my mind on that. The frosting was not overly sweet or just gooped on like at many places, and the actual cake was so moist and complex, I can't even wrap my mind around it. It was an absolute hit at the birthday party! What sold me the most was the excellent customer service though! They took my order on pretty short notice over the phone, and it was ready at the exact moment they told me it would be. Fresh out of the oven that morning and finished frosting just as I walked in. AND they gave my daughter a cupcake on the house, just because. How nice is that?! The store front is adorable and clean as well. If you haven't stopped in, go check it out. I will never go back here. Ordered a cake for a birthday and brought a photo. Owner took notes and repeated what I wanted to make sure she got it correctly, and she did. The finished cake looked nothing like what I asked though. Plus the cake was very very dry. I felt embarrassed giving the cake to whose birthday it was. It was very expensive for a small cake but I was willing to spend the money for my husband. The cake, however, was not worth the cost. Let me start with saying during our meetings and tasting appointment she gave us exactly what we dreamed of for our wedding. The taste, the look was all on point. However the day of our wedding not only where our desserts not as ordered and the presentation awful but our main wedding cake was very dry. Our venue said they tried to call just after delivery because they thought it was wrong too, but got no response. After a few weeks of debating about weather we should talk to edible memories my husband finally went in to talk in person. She was very apologetic, viewed the pictures we took and was embarrassed about the work. She admitted that she overbooked, had her husband do most of the desserts because she did not have the time and offered an agreed upon refund. Satisfied we waited 2 weeks and seen no refunds and received no calls. Second contact with her she used the contract to take back her refund saying she has "creative leeway" and just did not have the money to refund us but offered a store credit. To wrap it up, we still got ripped off for our "store credit" and I personally was lied to about any remaining balances. Very bad business, do not reccomend for any event they clearly do not have the means to handle it nor the professionalism a good business owner should have. read more
