I've been here a few times for events but this is the first time I went for happy hour. The lemon drink was so good! Then we also had the fry platter with plenty of dipping options. The seating was plentiful and it was a nice atmosphere. Then we decided to go to the wine tasting event downstairs. Not only did we meet amazing people but the wine was good! For dinner I had chicken skewers and a Caesar salad. The skewers were so good!!!! But the salad was very strange. It had almond dust or something. And vinaigrette and not the normal dressing. All in all it was a great night and I look forward to going again. I will note the prices are high. read more

If I were a member here I would eat this place up. The amenities are incredible, with plenty of gorgeous natural lighting, a gym, saunas, and a rooftop pool. Cool, now let's get to the real reason I'm leaving a 5-star review: the CAESAR SALAD. Holy cow. This Caesar was the Caesar of my dreams. It was dressed to perfection with crumbled croutons and a generous serving of cheese. The photos speak for themselves. Our bartender even went to the kitchen to fetch peperoncino for us since we wanted a "PeperTini". Great service in a beautiful space. It's on the pricey side but makes for a really great night out that feels exclusive and boujee. read more

My experience with Edison House over the course of a year was deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to share it. As a member, I witnessed and experienced serious inconsistencies in how rules and values were applied. When I was targeted by another member using a homophobic slur, I expected support -- instead, I was encouraged by leadership to "take the high road," with no accountability for the offender. On another occasion, a manager took a photo of me while I was on a private date inside the club and shared it with other staff -- an invasive and completely unprofessional breach of trust. To make matters worse, my initial interactions with ownership involved blurred boundaries that felt exploitative in hindsight, especially as a newly 21-year-old member. After that, I was effectively discarded -- and later "banned" in October, after my paid membership had already ended in August. It felt like a retaliatory move rather than a legitimate policy enforcement. Edison House markets itself as a place of elevated culture and community, but my experience revealed something very different: selective enforcement of values, lack of member protection, and serious ethical lapses behind the scenes. Really excited to see a place like this in Salt Lake City! I've noticed a growing need for third spaces since COVID increased the number of remote workers. I've also noticed that as I get older my tastes, needs, and the way I want to spend my free time has changed significantly. There are so many spaces that cater to the college-aged demographic, as well as the 55+ demographic, but not a lot of spaces for the young professional demographic - people who are done with the college bar scene, but still want to go out and socialize. Edison House has created that space for people of all ages! They have three floors and each floor has a totally different space and vibe. The first floor has a bar and lounge area, and a gym. Second floor has a bar in the main area, and several different rooms throughout the space - a stage area for performances, a lounge area, a pool table, etc. The rooftop has a large event space and a rooftop pool with cabanas and a bar. This is a space unlike anything SLC has ever seen, and I'm excited to have a place like this in SLC. It's membership based, however they sometimes host free public events where you are able to check out the space. The staff is super friendly and the bartenders make delicious drinks. Edison House is like a grown-up version of the clubhouse where you and all your friends hang out. Although there's not a "no girls allowed" sign on the door, it does cater to the same exclusive attitude that we all either subscribed to or were subject to as kids. But this time it's much friendlier-the vibe caters to a certain demographic and if you don't fit that, you probably don't want to be here anyway. It's a co-working space. It's a bar. It's a restaurant. It's a music venue. It's a place to hang out with your friends. The atmosphere is upscale chic and each detail was considered upon it's creation. Every corner is Instagram worthy and just begging for a selfie. It's gorgeous. Like I said-membership is exclusive. I'm told that you have to be invited to be a member and that there's already a waiting list, even though they've only been open a few weeks. I was lucky enough to receive an invite for a lunch meeting, and if you ever do as well, I suggest you check it out. And if you get invited to be a member, bring me along for a lunch date now and then. read more

Wanted to listen to live music with my elderly in-laws and family. My younger son is not yet 21 and was denied entrance even though we as his parents and grandparents would be with him, would not drink, etc. Why can't you allow adult children (18 and older) to attend and give bracelets to those who want to drink alcohol but still allowing those of us who just want to listen to live music to still attend. I had the opportunity to visit the Edison House a few days ago with a friend who is a member. It was quite impressive. We had dinner on the first floor in their Spanish style tapas restaurant and everything was delicious. Service was amazing as well. My friend gave me a tour of the rest of the facility after we finished eating and it truly was inspired. The attention to detail was notable. The gym spaces were clean and organized. And it was easy to find your way around. I was interested enough that I actually looked into a membership for myself when I got home, that's when I got the shock over the membership fees. While I understand what the owners are going for, a $500 initial fee, then another $225 per month on top of that with a 12 month contract required seems a little extreme for the area. Particularly when you still have to park away from the building, in an uncontrolled lot, which in nice weather isn't a huge issue, but I know that would deter me during mid winter or rain if I was wanting to look nice and go to dinner or an event. I am a successful young professional, part of that comes from my financial intelligence. So for me spending that much each month with no option to cancel, and no flexibility makes me incredibly nervous in our current economic climate. I hope that in the near future they will bring in other membership options or just lower the monthly fee altogether. Possibly give the option to opt out of the fitness center for those of us who work out at home or don't live within the Salt Lake City limits, or have a membership option for single parents, etc., I think those would be well received and I would definitely be more apt to join at a lower rate. Overall I don't have any complaints. Everything was beautiful, warm, and comfortable. Something I'd definitely enjoy being part of one day given a more comfortable price point. read more

After dancing you're going to have worked up an appetite. The fries. Just get the fries and don't ask any more questions. You'll smell their deliciousness even before your server presents them to the table and then they will be gone within 15 seconds. Warning: do not try to photograph them for your yelp review or you might not get any. We were hungry for more late night yummy things. Just finished the Valentine Dinner menu and I should have taken pictures! The preset meal was absolutely delicious. The duck was out of this world. Bravo to the chef. The ambience and service is top notch (a rarity these days). I can't recommend the main restaurant enough. The regular menu is fabulous as well. I especially love the lamb. They have many amenities inside and I was only able to visit a few during my time here. They have a restaurant, gym, karaoke room (!!!!!), billiards room, rooftop pool, a comedy club and stage for performing, a sports bar and I'm sure much more but this is all I saw during my time here. They also offer many different events throughout the week on their schedule for members. Since this is a social club you need to be a member to enter or be invited as a guest. I had the pleasure of going to a wine tasting and I learned so much! We then ended our night by closing down the karaoke room.
