This is a fascinating little town with a useful little Gym and a charm all its own - little things stand out, like the streets look different to any other town, with very unique street signs all the way down at eye level. It's both odd and unique, and it's both delightful and confusing. They definitely try to have their own charm in these parts. It's close to Edison which is the ethnic food capital of Central Jersey and on par with North Jersey as having the best stuff in the state. The one problem with this town is that people were extremely nasty to me at several different junctures which really rubbed me the wrong way.

Last week I went to MCNJ for the first time, as I happened to be in the area, and was directed by this man to park in what seemed to be a parking lot right next to masjid. Right after I prayed my sunnah, a lady made an announcement in the women's area that they were towing cars in the parking lot next door. I ran over and lo and behold, my car was being towed. Long story short, I was forced to pay $160 for the tow truck guy to lower my car (ridiculous) as the self-proclaimed "security guard" stood there watching. I was told afterwards that cars are towed every week from that parking lot during Jummah time. As a first time visitor to MCNJ I obviously had no idea and trusted this man to park in the lot. The most surprising thing was that I was also told that this man does NOT work for the masjid!! Beware!

This review is for the awesome splash pad that is located in Wheeler Park. Every time we go we…read morehave a blast! I am also so happy that Wheeler park welcomes everyone from all over NJ (and elsewhere). Coming from out of the county will cost you a bit more, but not much. If you live outside of Union County it is $4.00 for kids ($2.00 in county) and $6.00 for adults ($3.00 in county). This splash pad has every water feature a kid could ever need - from bigger twisty water slides, to a small dragon water slide. Also, water guns that you can shoot each other with, a pirate boat, water shooting up from the ground, and much more. My kids spent a little over 2 hours here and had an absolute blast. We've been here about 3 times and it never disappoints. Just be sure to bring some sort of shade covering. There isn't much cover at the splash pad so we usually bring our small beach tent with us. There is also a dry playground in the splash pad gated area where kids can play too. They have staff who help keep the kids safe and to make sure everyone goes down the water slides safe and sound. I highly recommend Wheeler Spray Park on a hot summer day.
