Right section is where they have majority of guests who are hibachi grill with a chef cooking and doing tricks with flame. Pretty cool for celebration. Great place to get well priced sushi. This is the place to come for a lot of variety, and the rolls are well sized. The staff is pretty attentive and in general very kind. They took excellent care of us. During peak hours, the rolls do take a while to make, but not much more than what would be expected. First, our waitress was so rude when we would ask her questions, she had an attitude the whole time. She even rushed us out of getting out. My wife and I came in to enjoy some Hibachi. We were sitting at grill with us and a family of 4. My very first impressions of the place were that it wasn't very clean. I was slipping and sliding on the floor from the amount of oil that was left. The dining experience was okay but not amazing. The chef did a good job entertaining us while he cooked which is the main reason to go. But what frustrated me was portion size vs price. Don't get me wrong we for sure get large portions! Enough for my wife to take a full meal home. But what was annoying was the child at the table, probably 4 years old, her parents ordered the Child Steak Hibachi for half the cost and she clearly go so much more food than me. My wife and I laughed that we should just order the child sizes next time because they give you so much food! Also my beer I ordered was warm. Not even attempted to be refrigerated. I absolutely love the food and the cook & service is great. My issue is the host at the front of the restaurant. While we were waiting for our hibachi cook, the busboy was setting up the plates at the other side of the table and the host came and started being extremely rude and yelling at him about how he was doing his job wrong. The busboy seemed to be doing the work well and he seemed down after the host mistreated him. The host clearly doesn't care about his fellow employee nor does he care about miss treating him in front of the customers. I'm a transplant Texan and noticed that the DFW area is more into sushi than hibachi. Back "home" there is many hibachi restaurants, but very few sushi restaurants. I grew up eating at hibachi restaurants. We used to fight over our own left overs as a kid...even if you put your name on the box. Edohana has really good food, so it didn't deserve 3 stars because it's just not "ok". However, I am a fan of Edohana. It's not as good as it gets for me (5 stars), but it's as good as it gets in terms of hibachi for the South Fort Worth Area.. unless I'm missing it somewhere! :) Anyway, Edohana has a seating area for sushi and a seating area for hibachi. The hibachi has probably 7 tables. I didn't count. We have never had a wait there and if we did we sat in the sushi area. You can still order hibachi even if you sit in the sushi area. We had the kids this time around so we opted for hibachi table. We order our drinks and our food. You get soup and salad first. They have miso and clear broth soup. The miso is good, but salty. This time I got the clear broth soup which I think is chicken broth based? Maybe not, but it's good and contains mushrooms and onions. The salad is pretty much lettuce with a few carrots and ginger dressing. I've had the hibachi steak, shrimp, chicken, and filet mignon before and it's all really good. It's cooked just right! This time I decided to get the Yakiniku. Their description read that it was beef marinated korean style. Google says that it's basically the Japanese version of Bulgogi. This is my second time getting it here and wanted it again. My husband got the hibachi chicken and kids got the hibachi shrimp The meal comes with fried rice AND noodles. The noodles are awesome and the fried rice is good. I didn't want all that carby goodness so I opted for extra veggies and no rice or noodles. The sauce! Where is the "shrimp" sauce as we call it back home?? Shrimp sauce aka white sauce bka yum yum sauce. You can't find it in DFW area from what I know except a knock off it at Lava Grill. My sister came to visit one time, wanted hibachi and called just about every single hibachi restaurant asking if they had this sauce. Edohana gives you mustard and ginger sauce. All very good, but dammit I miss shrimp sauce!! Wow.. this is long!! The chef comes and is friendly. He does all of the typical shows seen at a hibachi restaurant. The egg roll, throwing it into his hat, volcano, fire, catching flying egg in your mouth..etc. He must have thought he was Paula Deen because he put a TON of butter in the food. He cooked our food and gave us what we ordered. Then, he said all done! He Cleaned the grill and left..LOL. No fancy show with the utensils. Great place!! I planned a birthday celebration here and it was fantastic!! The manager gave me and my group two options on where to dine. The staff was extra attentive and friendly. The chefs were hilarious and entertaining too! One of them got me with the fake squirt bottle trick! Ha! The hibachi was cooked perfectly and my sushi roll was to die for. Everything was fairly priced and we ended up with huge portions! My only disappointment was they told me they has flavored sake but didn't. Zero star for the experience...... Took our children out for hibachi for their first time. We were stuck with a group of about 5 or 6 high school boys, who were clearly regulars. They were throwing raw eggs around, grabbing sauces from the cart, COOKING BEHIND THE COUNTER. The manager came by and peeked into the room, he saw the chaos and just walked away. Very disappointed by how they handled things. They just let the boys do whatever they wanted to do in their restaurant. Before we left, we made a comment about our experience to the manager. He acted like he didn't know what was going on, and even said that was he first time he's seen those boys. One of the boy passed by again, and he did in fact say yes, he's a regular and comes all the time. Another worker told us the same, the boys are regulars. The chef was okay, server was nice. The restaurant let privilege children do what they want because their family has money, I get it. But I suggest you guys not seat other guest in the same room with them. It ruins other people's experience. My 6 year son said he'd like to go to another hibachi place, without people acting the way the boys did. Definitely won't return to this restaurant. read more

Not only was he rude when we arrived, but then when we had finished the meal and were waiting (a very long time) for our checks, he walked up to me and said "we have many people waiting. So.... So in my endless quest for sushi that makes my tummy happy, I have found myself stranded in Texas. Luckily, I have found a hip little spot in the midst of concrete and box stores...Edohana. Now...I've only had sushi here on several occasions, I haven't tried the habachi yet. It looks fun over there in the other room though...I swear! OK...I must say that Texans like their food deep fried. Most of the rolls are either partially fried or entirely deep fried, which is a departure for me. However, this makes for some interesting dining options that veer from what (for me, at least) I find a "comfortable" dining experience. And seriously, isn't it good to step outside of your comfort zone sometimes? Purists will delight in the large portions of nigiri. My standard ugani nigiri are very generous and tasty to boot. The other "normal" rolls like the ever-present california and caterpillar are very tasty. An interesting dish I had during my last visit was the Lobster Dynamite. This was california rolls with lobster meat in a spicy, creamy sauce...broiled so you got some tasty charred goodness up on top. Then they had some scallops thrown in there. My one pal thought it was way too spicy, but what does she know?? In all, it's a great place to go in the land of steaks. You will not be disappointed. read more
