I can honestly say without him, i don't know how I would of finished taking both courses. The lecturers and the TAs didn't communicate the material nearly as clearly and in a shorter time span as he did. He is clear and patient, and wants you to truly learn the material, not just get through a test or assignment. It is clear that he knows his material. Moreover he's very flexible with tutoring time and will take as much time and sessions needed until you understand the material. Being an athlete, my free is greatly limited, but he still found time to make sessions flexible to my schedule to his greatest ability. With my experience with him, if there were more teachers as clear and knowledgable as him, then class would be more clear and interesting and easier to follow. But in real-life situations, tutors such as Solomon are there to bridge the gap and help you succeed. I know I'll be using Quantum Tutoring in the future, especially as I get ready for MCATs, not to mention exams and tests.

Coming from a no-name international school (not known to the U.S. application dropdown menu), I was hoping that I "had it in me", but at the same time know that I needed to craft the perfect application, most importantly the essays, to stand out. My first call was into Sandy Kreisberg. My second into Scott. I went with Scott, and never regretted it. The results spoke for themselves: 4 applications (all top schools), 3 admissions, including my dream choice: Stanford GSB. Scott knows inside out how to tailor your best and hightest-chance-of-success application package. He continually challenged me to craft the unique and authentic essays that opened the doors to the top MBA programs for me. And as if that all was not already a utopia of awesomeness, Scott helped me secur e a full-ride scholarship from my national government. I mean, give me a break, Scott. When I arrived on campus, GSB's (back then) Dean of Admissions Derrick Bolton took me by the side and told me it was my "What Matters Most To You and Why" essay that made the difference. I honestly look at that essay and I think it's the best piece I have ever written in my life. Would have not been the case without Scott. Beyond essays, Scott is a fountain of wisdom for school selection, general application strategies, resume editing, picking recommenders, and being there for you during the emotional rollercoaster than MBA applications can be. Take my word. I could not think of a better person than Scott to partner up for this journey that can be such a life-changer. Certainly was for me. THANK YOU, SCOTT.

Whenever I had questions…read moreabout a certain topic/problem, adjusting my study schedule, or being overly neurotic about my progress, Yash was always just a text or call away to reassure me and answer my questions. For example, in the last few weeks of studying my AAMC full length scores progressed from a 516 to 519 to 516 to 513. The trend from a 519 to 513 definitely made me anxious, and it felt like I was hitting a slump in my studying. However, Yash was quick to let me know that full length scores aren't static, reassuring me that I'm scoring within the expected standard deviation around my average of 516. He told me that each full length is different in difficulty, advising me to take an extra day off each week to refocus myself and really hone in on why I might've got more questions wrong. This definitely helped clear my mind and I actually began to feel grateful for scoring a 513, because I was able to identify gaps in my content/test taking strategies that I didn't even know I had. Subsequently, my scores on the last two AAMC full lengths went back up from a 514 to 518! At the end of my studying, I felt satisfied that I've done everything I could to prepare for this test, and that no matter what happened on test day, I was confident in getting a score that would give me a good shot at an acceptance to medical school. Overall, I don't think I would've made it as far as I did without his support--Yash has been an amazing coach!

The instructors were phenomenal - especially David, who went above and beyond to provide solid lectures, good examples, and additional supplementary materials. In addition to great teachers, Veritas' online classes were really helpful - either for reviewing material you're fuzzy on or making up for a missed class. Plus, they give you access to so many practice GMAT tests (some of their own, plus others they license), so you'll really feel prepared by the time test day comes. The class format of Veritas really sets it apart from other programs. For me, having the hands-on classroom time plus TONS of homework/practice problems was the necessary nudge I needed to make sure I was devoting adequate time to studying. The books are well thought out and give you a lot of detail. I'd recommend supplementing it with the Official GMAT guide (in your final weeks of studying) to really help give you a sense of the official GMAT Qs.

Before you go out and preach my review as gospel, let me make sure that everyone knows that about halfway through the Vertias Prep program I decided I didn't need a $100k MBA. I just want to learn how to start a business and maintain it and have a fairly good idea of what I'm doing. Therefore, my score actually went DOWN by 60 points after taking the class. I don't blame Veritas Prep, I was just disappointed that it wasn't good for someone who works full time. Also, if you suck at math...I advise getting a private tutor BEFORE starting this class. Lots and lots of Algebra.

The building is as it looks in the pictures, but there's no sign or indication that you're at the right place until you go inside. Take the elevators and I think it's the third or fifth floor and you will see signs directing you where to go. It's very spacious and can accommodate a lot of test takers as they have two testing rooms. The staff here were very friendly and understanding and quick about getting people in and out during breaks. As usual there are lockers to hold your possessions and a coat rack for jackets. There's also a water fountain so you don't need to bring your own water. It's very quiet here but I would recommend bringing your own small ear plugs, but they do provide you with those big airplane head phones. There is a fan by the entrance of each room. That plus their headphones plus my own ear plugs made me dead to the world that I couldn't hear what anybody else around it was doing so I could fully focus on my exam.

In the summer there is an air conditioning machine in the corner, but it did not really bother me, especially when wearing earplugs. The lockers are a bit small, but that is to be expected. The only negative I can think of is that next door there is some small business (maybe it was Uber or something like that) where there were a ton of douchey-looking guys who were talking loudly on their phones in the hallway right outside. They also may have been having some sort of party, who knows. Luckily, I could not hear them while actually doing the test, but they certainly did not make things feel calmer in the waiting room.

John was extremely knowledgeable about the test, content, study strategies, tips/tricks etc. He was able to tailor the class to suit the needs of different students, and was always available for after class questions. John not only helped me on my quant weak spots, but also was a positive voice throughout my studies and kept me optimistic. Studying for a big test can be pretty isolating - especially if you have no friends studying for something at the same time (..i.e. this was my experience) so it was incredibly helpful to have a class & instructor that kept me mentally motivated. The Manhattan materials (books, practice tests, online resources, 5lb book (!)) are also top notch and better than those I've seen from other prep courses. I ended up getting a 164V/166Q/5.5 & I'm not convinced I could have done it without this class. I maybe could have eventually, but you don't want to spend forever studying for a test when you (presumably) have apps to focus on. Take Manhattan with John!
