Anyway Schneeballen or fried dough stuck together in a ball is their local specialty. So I opted to try that. Frankly-it is nothing to brag about. Tastes like Chinese fortune cookie, with some added powdered sugar or chocolate. Overall, I cannot say that Cafe Uhl is not cute, but that's about it....as it is all downhill from there!

Schneebälle are basically a dry, cookie-like pastry where the dough is rolled out and cut into strips, then arranged into a loose ball before it's baked into its cookie form Crunchy & dusted w/ powdered sugar or covered in chocolate, hazelnut cream or other such coatings, you'll find as you're eating these delicacies, your clothes are also coated in a powder of cookie dust - so it looks like it's been snowing on your clothing as well.....eat the snowball, wear the snowball!
