8AM is definitely worth a try if you're in San Francisco. The food was fresh and delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly and fast. There was a small issue that kept it from being a perfect 5 stars, but overall it was a great experience. I'd happily come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast or brunch spot.

Came here with my friend after the Golden Gate 5K for a breakfast of champions. We luckily got seated very quickly, as we completed our race before the half marathoners. Service was great! We got our food quickly and it was delicious. I got an ice vanilla matcha latte and sausage and eggs. LOVED the potatoes! Would definitely recommend this place.

Had a ball at this brunch spot! I had this place was bookmarked for the longesttt time and finally got around to trying it out. My friend and I got the French toast with berries and a bagel fix-up (strawberry + blueberry on one side and eggs on the other). I was obsessed with how the eggs were made! It was so simple and comforting. If it was closer, I'd definitely stop by often to grab a bagel with just that spread! But am glad they allow you to try two flavors/spreads! The French toast was good as well, loved it with the berries. Would definitely recommend this place!!

Came here randomly on a Sunday got welcomed and seated right away! Staff were super friendly, prices were a bit pricy but great portions, and the food was so good along with their black coffee! Everything was wonderful. We got an omelette and berry waffle but would definitely try the banana French toast next time (seemed to be a popular dish and looked yummy!)

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful but the food was incredibly mid, especially at the price point. I was really hopeful for more. The avocado on the toast was very bland - could use more salt, lemon, anything to add more flavor.

11am, Thursday, March 20, 2025: Arrived at the end of breakfast rush. Super friendly service. $34 with tip for the Avocado Toast trio. Individual toppings were bacon, egg, & balsamic drizzled over some kind of square white cheese. Mozzarella? Wow, that's a lot of food, including a side fruit cup. A real diner experience for the tourists & locals, nothing like nearby Fisherman's Wharf. That's a good thing. I have a feeling I ordered the wrong meal, a diner is best for classic bacon & eggs. Let's get my pet peeve out of the way. The seeded pre-sliced sandwich bread was not toasted, not even I bit. Call it open faced sandwich, but not a toast. So there I was getting crabby as I ripped apart the soggy bread with a butter knife. The avocado was a runny spread. The bacon was delicious. I asked for over medium egg & it arrived easy, sunny side up. I didn't have an appetite left for the balsamic. Besides, it came on a large slice of beefsteak tomato. Hate that tasteless refrigerated filler item. The fruit cup was classic, you know, probably canned pineapple (which was tasty), 5 blueberries, one raspberry, perfectly ripe banana, ok strawberry slices, & cubes of rock hard cantaloupe & honeydew melon. Why? Just why? Kinda dark in here & on a typical chilly day the metal, backless stools were really cold & uncomfortable. Four sidewalk tables for the hearty. I'm giving this meal a 3 star, which should not be a deterrent if you're in the hood. Just know ahead of time what to expect. Others might love the generous portions & not care if they can' t eat the "toast" with their hands. I'm not sure if Eight AM is locally owned, but it deserves support from the neighborhood.

Food was amazing. All 6 of us tried something different and loved it all. Highly recommend. Found seats for us faster than expected and service was right on it. Come hungry portions are solid

If you're looking for great service, good food and conveniently located to the wharf, Eight Am is the place. We arrived at 8:30am on a Sunday and were seated right away, but within 15 minutes there was a long wait outside. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but we were comfortable and there is option for patio seating, we opted for indoors. The average cost per plate starts at around 25.00, the portions are good and the food is fresh. Gratuity is included in the bill here and after we had a few plates, a few juices, our bill was just under 100.00 for two. Service is quick, our waiter was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend a stop for breakfast here and we will definitely return when visiting San Francisco. Enjoy!

Cute little restaurant on our walk towards the Piers. We sat outside and were greeted by friendly wait staff. I had their open-faced bagel and opted for a sweet and a savory option. One half of the bagel had avocado, deli ham and an over easy egg. The other half with cream cheese, strawberries and honey, served with a large side of ripe fruit. My friend had an egg dish which she loved. The food was served hot and quickly with big portion sizes

The bagel plate, split in two and different topping options, was outstanding! Opted for avocado/ham/egg and cream cheese/strawberries/blueberries toppings! Delicious!!! Also comes with a generous side of fruits!

Tried this place for the first time today. The street construction outside is a little bummer but hopefully it's short lived. The patio out front is lovely. The food is tasty. The service was quick and friendly. My frittata was just a little bland but some hot sauce and salt/pepper fixed it right up. Love that the fruit is good fruit and not just melons

What a fabulous place. We were in SFO for 3 nights and went for BF to this joint each morning. The staff is very very polite, the place is crowded and immensely popular so be prepared to wait. Trust me the food is totally worth the wait. I will be coming back to this one on my next visit. Loved it!

Her serving team was the Kentucky Derby of thoroughbreds racing to place the silverware, condiments, used dishes, and refilled coffee going. The food tasted Michelin level. I can SAY that because we had eaten dinner at an actual Michelin rated restaurant the night before. (No Yelp rating needed because they ABSOLUTELY deserved it= NARI) I had a FRIED French Toast BECAUSE it cannot sit waiting to be served. My daughter had Eggs Benedict and the granddaughter had fresh fruit, fresh squeezed OJ in an ADULT glass (because she is a Big Girl now). While we paid our tab we heard a woman scream "I'm giving this restaurant a ONE STAARR REVIEW on YELP because of this WAIT!!!" OMG I thought someone had been ROBBED--but..on THIS Mother's DAY..it was only a spoiled young lady with poor manners. For me...now at a point in life that WAITING anywhere for anything is a PERCENTAGE of TIME I have LEFT to live...this breakfast was easily worth the time that it cost in human terms. Go any time you got a Mom, Grandma, Dad, offspring, first date or best friend you want to share a moment in time with early in the day over food and drink. No waiting worth mentioning. Thanks

My husband and I's favorite place to eat in the world is New Orleans so this place definitely did not disappoint. We started with coffee drinks, I had some sort of boozy espresso drink which I could have done without since the bitters tasted like licorice which is probably a taste preference. My husband had the grandma coffee which was also fine. Then the food came out and it went up from here! The catfish & grits just might be the best I've ever had. My husband also really enjoyed his banana foster French toast, & i loved that they allowed you to get one piece of fried chicken because i had to try it out despite a full meal. The wing I had was Nice & crunchy with a delicious sweet sauce on the side that reminded me of mambo sauce ( a DC staple.) My husband also had the gumbo which was good but I wouldn't say our favorite. I prefer my gumbo with a little more spice but that could just be personal preference. We ended the meal with beignets: I had the ube beignet which was so unique & flavorful! I don't think I would have had a chance to try that type of beignet anywhere else so glad to try something different, it was delicious. The crawfish beignet was also so flavorful! The beignets in general were much more bready than typical beignets but still very good & unique to this place. On top of that, the service was great & the food came out quick, hot & fresh!
