Absolutely horrible service. The employees and management are completely incompetent. It consistently takes 30+ minutes for a single bagel order. Today, after waiting 30 minutes, I did not even receive the bagel I ordered. When speaking with the manager, he looked like he was high as his eyes were completely bloodshot. All they do is offer coupons or a free drink instead of fixing the root of the problem: the accuracy of simple orders, wait times, and disrespectful attitudes from staff (and management). In fact, when speaking with the manager he scoffed and told me not to come back. I will no longer be visiting this location and I suggest that no one else does either. Do not waste your time and money. To any upper-level management: you need to do a full reset on your location and find new staff who actually care about their job (or at least pretend to). I used to work in food service and understand the difficulties but I NEVER disrespected paying customers. If I could give zero stars I would. The staff is single-handedly leading the argument for AI replacing us. I have never gotten through their drive-through in less than 10 minutes- going into place an order takes even longer because no one is manning the counter or drive-through line. So I don't know what they're doing, but it's not helping customers. When you do finally get your order, there's cream cheese all over the bag and wrapper making it a mess to eat. If your order was correct, then go buy a lottery ticket. Came in for a quick breakfast and saw they had a drive thru. I was very excited to be in and out so quickly. I ordered the chorizo sunrise breakfast sandwich. I had never had chorizo sausage before and I'm glad I finally did because WOW that hit the spot. I loved the gourmet bagel with green chilies baked on top with cheddar cheese. It also had a jalapeño salsa cream cheese, Schmear on the sandwich. I will absolutely be getting extra cream cheese next time because that was the star of the show. The service was fantastic. Teeeeerrrible from the service to the food. Most of the employees here are rude from the start of your visit till the end. Constantly out of the most basic items and typically mess up orders (didn't put any turkey on the sandwich I ordered today, but not limited to missing whole items in your order or giving you the wrong product). There's always a problem with the drive thru whether that be being closed down entirely or cash only (they tell you you can use card inside which just reeks of laziness if you ask me). If you absolutely need to eat Einstein bros please skip this location and go to the one on 95th and Quivira by the mattress firm, no drive thru but at least you won't leave there with stress pimples I would like to add in that I can't wait to get the same copy pasted reply as everyone else and never see anything about this store get better read more

This Einstein Brothers is very disappointing. It doesn't have any seating indoors. They haven't replaced it since the pandemic. I tried to call them to get an update and their phone system is unfriendly. Doesn't let you leave a message so if you can't get through you just have to keep trying. I'll start by saying that since I arrived in Kansas City 30+ years ago I've been a regular and avid fan of Einstein Brothers (dating back to when they were Bagel and Bagel). During Covid they stopped allowing dine in, which killed it for me. I came in this morning and resigned to hitting the drive in and eating in my car and noticed the tables were back in the dining area. They once again allow dining in. I ordered my favorite, a nova lox sandwich on a toasted bagel and coffee. The coffee was typically great! The sandwich, not so much. The sesame bagel was delicious, nicely toasted. The schmear of cream cheese was light, the two skimpy slices of lox were both on the same half of the sandwich, I had two small heels of tomato, about eight capers and two little rings of red onion on it. I didn't say anything while I was there, because I get tired of being the guy that has to complain about his food all the time. This place used to be the bomb! read more

A great place to grab a fast, quick and good bagel! Lots of different bagels and sandwiches to choose from. I ordered the egg white, tomato, avocado Sandwich, a power bagel(to go), and a vanilla hazelnut coffee. They ran out of vanilla hazelnut coffee and did not refill it the entire time I was at the restaurant (20 minutes). The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I had to give it three stars because the restaurant was filthy. There were crumbs everywhere and where they were making the bagels looked a little gross. Went through the drive through this time and I couldn't read the menu... I have 20/20 vision. It's faded and tattered and the plastic covering is messed up to the point where the menu is partially covered so I couldn't see the menu item names. Got it, ate, and while I was eating I saw something that made me laugh... for context I got a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel. I saw on their bag that they seem to brag about using "good ingredients." Such as thick cut bacon. This stuff is so thin that I could compare it to a piece of paper... funny. And it always tastes fine, I love Einstein bagels in general, but if I pay extra to get 2 egg whites and consistently get 1 regular egg, I eventually get pretty frustrated! I use to like Einstein's Bagels, but overall their service and quality has gone downhill. They try to get you to order on their app. I tried ordering on their app except it doesn't allow you to choose what type of bagel for your sandwich or to hold back onion or such. Really!? They need to refine their app before they start telling people to use it. I come to this Einstein's because they are one of the few that have drive thru. Again the problem is that they more than likely will get your order wrong or forget part of it, like what happened to me today. I ordered a poppy bagel and it came out plain. I order some onion bagels and the window clerk totally forgot to give them to me. Good thing I checked the bag and noticed before I drove off. This doesn't happen at McDonalds. As for quality/quantity - their bagels have gotten smaller and portions like lox have also gotten smaller. The wife always suggest we just go Costco or Sam's and get a large package of lox and a dozen bagels instead of Einstein's. I'll get more lox per bite and the bagels are bigger. While I am a fan of Einstein Bros in general, this location leaves little to be desired. The bagels and prices are on par with all their locations: we had the farmhouse (baton, ham, egg, and cheese on a cheesy hash brown bagel) and a pumpkin walnut crunch bagel with honey almond shmear. The food itself is delicious, and they have Caribou coffee as well. When we walked in we were the only customers in line. No one greeted us. There are registers on either side of the line area, and no one gave us any hints on where to go. People walked in a moment later and we ended up waiting behind 5 people unnecessarily because no one acknowledged us. My friend and I ordered separately. She went first and wasn't given a receipt. The woman who took my order spelled my name wrong and was generally rather rude about our interaction concerning my name. She then gave me my own receipt, as well as my friends, and told us to do the survey for free bagels and "if you gives us five stars all the way down, we'd appreciate it." Really?? When I went to get my coffee and grab the cream, another employee intercepted and almost grabbed it out of my hand. Granted, it was almost empty, but he could have either waited or at least said something to acknowledge me in any way. None of these incidents are bad on their own, but having all of them happen in one visit is pretty disappointing, and given by the rest of their reviews, not uncommon here. The dining area was dirty- there were no clean tables. I understand it was a Saturday morning, but I noticed several employees who weren't doing anything.
