I ordered a tomato, cheese, and ham crêpe with and a chai tea with steamed milk. The crêpe was well prepared, thin and light, the way crêpes should be, and the chai tea was of good quality and presented nicely with a small container of steamed milk on the side. They have free wi-fi and play great music. Will definitely stop in here again on my next visit.

Some of the staff were very nice but I found others were very dismissive and impatient. The service depended on the person. We asked for some tap water but never recieved it. My partner visits often for the latte which he says is very good. I was disappointed with my chai latte which tasted too sweet and rather like a candle. The vegan chocolate cake I had was very fluffy and tasty, however the plate it was served on while cute was too small and impractical.

If you plan to do work or use an electronic device while having coffee in Göttingen, you are better…read moreoff visiting another cafe. I've gone to Espresso-Bar Barista many times over the past two years, but have decided to quit going there after my last visit. The staff are ok, but the owner and his wife are very unwelcoming to those trying to do work on computers or using wifi. On my last visit, my husband and I got drinks and worked on our electronic devices for about an hour and a half. Then the owner's wife asked us if we wanted more drinks, but we decided against it because we only planed to stay for about 15 more minutes. At that point she said we would have to pay a Euro and hour for the wifi if we stayed any longer. We weren't even using the wifi -- I was reading my kindle and my husband was doing work oh his computer that didn't require Internet. This was extremely irritating because 1) we felt like we were being monitored, 2) nobody else was inside the cafe creating competition for seating space, and 3) we don't think only ordering one beverage each in under two hours is overstaying our welcome, especially when we have spent a fair amount of money at this place in the past. Needless to say we immediately paid up and left, telling them we wouldn't be returning. Normally in Germany cafes and restaurants have no problem with you staying well after you have finished drinking or dining -- not this place though.

From the owner: Das Göttinger Tageblatt schreibt über Dabis Kaffeestube:…read more "Göttingen. In seinem Café will Dabergott Lesungen und Konzerte veranstalten. Von Hauke Rudolph" Zudem gibt es einen leckeren Masala Chai.

Both times they act like they don't really want to sell items. Yesterday the woman said the credit card machine didn't work. "No Visa." I said I had a debit. "No!" I said I could use American Express. She said, no. At this point in time I was confused about if the machine work or not and I was confused about why they had a machine out for everyone to see if they didn't take cards. I was about to hand back the food when she relented "fine. You can use it if you spend 10 euros." There were no signs about this either.
