After an eventful day of sightseeing we were excited to enjoy a refreshing "kugel" of gelato at this location close to our hotel. The woman assisting us was unfriendly and appeared annoyed during the entire ordering process. We politely asked if we could sample one flavor and she rudely replied, "no," and rolled her eyes. That being said, it was a rare hot day in Germany and we were all craving something refreshing, so we decided to take our chances. I settled for one scoop of chocolate and it was disappointing and a waste of money. The chocolate was chalky, icey, and almost medicinal in flavor, unlike any "gelato" I've had before (yuck). As a child, my favorite memories of visiting my Oma in Kues were this eis cafe. Lemon. Nutella. Pistachio. When people asked me about Gelato in America, this place is what came to mind. Maybe I'm bias because this was the ice cream of my childhood, but to me this place is complete perfection. Now that I'm older I can appreciate the alcoholic ice creams but nothing compares to Schpagetti eis or a to-go cone with exactly what I want.

July 13/2022: Very cool little ice cream shop in a very cool little town…read more The spaghetti strawberry Eis was delicious to say the least. It lost a star cause they didn't ass strawberries to mine but did to the rest. The table of 5 ppl was almost $80.00 (Cdn) for ice cream!
