This shop is kid friendly, has plenty of lactose free options and their staff is extremely welcoming. The owner, Oli can often be found walking around and is happy to introduce herself to anyone who visits. She first gave my husband a sample of a different ice cream (as he was feeding our baby ) because the option he had contained too much sugar for our little one. On a separate occasion I casually mentioned she had changed her flavors and my favorite, dulce de leche, was no longer available. She took the time to explain that due to the high temperatures, it didn't do as well and that people preferred water based gelato at that time, she asked me to let her know next time I'd come by. I didn't but thanked her for her kindness. To my surprise, the next time I visited [I have to admit I visited daily during my Rota stay] she had made a special batch of Dulce de leche JUST FOR ME, and she told her staff that if I asked for it, it was hidden in the freezer -not on display- so I could get some. There are thousands of people going in and out of this shop, and somehow, I was made feel like I was cared for in such a special way.
