House made tortilla chips and tortillas that are available to purchase but best to order them for there with their guac. Mini dining room area, good for large groups or small. The family that runs it is so kind and helpful when it comes to menu suggestions! One of my family's go to spots growing up and this visit was just as amazing as the rest! This is a hidden gem near Scranton. We were visiting the Lackawanna Coal Mine nearby and were looking for a place to eat. At first glance we nearly missed it, as it was in a residential neighborhood and looked like a house. We checked it out and are so glad we did! We were promptly seated, the place was cozy and inviting. The food was authentic and very fresh. The guacamole was to die for! I'm a big fan of guacamole and I found this one to be exceptionally creamy and with plenty of delicious lime flavor. Outstanding. I also enjoyed the fish fajitas which were filling and packed with flavor. The chips and salsa were also really good. I asked for hot sauce and they brought me a really nice batch of homemade hotness. Loved it. What a great gem. Being from Miami, we were a bit skeptical of eating at a hidden location that looks like a home. We are just not used to that. We found the restaurant on Yelp and saw the great reviews. Thankfully we decided to give it a try. This is literally a hidden gem. The food was fantastic and the service was great. The salsa and chips are home made. The guacamole was super fresh with a hint of lime. The guacamole was soooo good. Even my son who is 10 was eating most of it. I ordered the chicken fajitas and I subbed out the tortillas for a small salad. Just trying to keep health. The chicken was fresh and the favors delicious. My husband had the grilled fish. He used the tortillas to turn it into tacos. He loved his food as well. I highly recommend trying this small restaurant. The food seems authentic and the flavors delicious. read more

I was so psyched to visit this place due to all the rave reviews. I ordered the 4 taco meal; 2 steak & 2 chicken tacos. I chose to eat the steak taco first. It was like chewing shoe leather. Extremely dry and tasteless. There was absolutely no flavor. I then tried the chicken taco with the same results. It was as though the steak and chicken was cooked (without any spices) hours in advance and sat in some container thus drying out the meat. I really wanted to like the food, but it was repulsive. Had to smother the tacos in the sauces that were on the table to make them semi-palatable. Sorry for the negative review, but if nothing is said, no improvements will be made. read more

After three visits I think this is easily the best Mexican in the Scranton area. They have fresh made corn tortillas, guacamole, and chipotle Mayo all available for sale so you can have the essentials on hand at home for your very own fiesta - but what they serve onsite and to go is also worth a try. This place serves an unusual combo of Italian and Mexican dishes. We kept it Mexican this time with a chicken burrito- for the price I thought it could have more flavor however the meat was tender and moist and the burrito was grilled on the exterior perfectly. The food options range from Mexican to italian, in case anyone in your group is picky about ethnic food. The food is delicious, the tomatillo sauce is spicy and flavorful. The price range is around 10$ for a meal and about 6-7$ for an appetizer, I found it to be very affordable. My only disappointment was that the restaurant didnt have enough people enjoying lunch on a Saturday! This place is great! Comparable food would be hacienda volcan or chicanos in south side. This is the closest to California Mexican that I have had here in the area. They briefly had a stand in the Steamtown Mall serving freshly prepared burritos that are simply awesome. They know to warm the tortilla and melt the cheese to make a wonderfully warm burrito. Their salsas are some of the best I have had. I like the two spiciest ones. Add a kick to your burrito! I was so excited when this business moved to North Scranton and expanded into a full restaurant operation. I knew they made awesome fresh tortillas, chips, and guacamole; so, I was looking forward to trying their authentic Mexican dishes. My wife and I have really enjoyed the tacos (especially al pastor) and the dobladitas. My kids have loved the burritos and the Italian options, like shrimp scampi. The Mexican Cokes are a hit, too!
