When we did get service, he was friendly and had recommendations. The drinks were good but mostly ice. Picture worthy for sure. The outside patio was closed in with heaters and comfy seating. You forget you are in Germany. You forget you are in an industrial area. You have a river front view. The hotel rooms are large, spacious, comfortable and loft like. People come for the drinks and tapas. Some end up staying the night because of how at home you feel. I would recommend reservations for seating...the lounge area fills up quickly. But you can always stand near the bar or go outside on the terrace area if the weather is decent. They make the best Old Fashioned Cocktail in the area. Germany isn't known for handcrafted cocktails. So this is a major plus for me. Ohhh and there is a Michelin Watch Restaurant (Marly) next door to the hotel/bar. It's worth it if spending a bit on great food doesn't bother you. It's worth it! Want to impress the wife on your anniversary or her birthday? Reservations at Marly, drinks afterward in Speicher7 Bar, some hotel time in a great room upstairs.
