Wow did we have an amazing burger here. We decided to try two different burgers on the menu. One…read morewith Wagyu and the other with local beef. Surprisingly the local beef won hands down in my book. We started off with Tomato Bread and Jamon Iberico. Just keep ordering both these things where ever you go in Spain and you will be happy. I couldn't get enough of either, and for sure you can't get tomato bread in the states. Crusty bread with olive oil bringing it back to life and tomato and garlic rubbed all over it, The Wagyu burger had a nice slab of melted Brie, caramelized onions, and fig balsamic. A tried and true flavor profile. The beef was sure juicy, and we would have been happy with this burger if we hadn't tried the local beef The Local Girona Beef Burger topped with havarti, lettuce, tomato, and egg cream (basically a rich mayonnaise). This was a dry aged burger, although not advertised as such. And very dry aged. Spain uses mature cows that can be as old as 14 years old. As such they have a much more robust flavor than American beef which is usually only 1-2 years old. The tomato reminded me, how delicious a tomato can and should be. Don't miss this burger here. BBQ Pork Flat Bread with pickled onions oregano , and melted provolone. Pretty tasty, but perhaps the least memorable of everything we ate. We did enjoy it though. Just goes to show how good everything else was. Brots de Vi is a cute spot to grab lunch, and they made us feel right at home fixing up a table where normally they wouldn't have had one, so we didn't wait too long. And for sure the servers had to walk around where we were seated, kind of half blocking the doorway. But they insisted that if we didn't mind, they didn't mind. Very friendly service and excellent food here.

I was relieved to see the chalkboard outside that said "Meals All Day." The thought of coming from the US and getting a burger here seemed so silly to me, but when we walked in, the sight and smell was too convincing. The fresh Girona beef was loosely ground and flavorful, so, no regrets! There was a little bit of an issue with flies trapped inside, we probably should have sat outside. Wine prices were good!
