Tejero Highland and Adventure Park offers great outdoor activities and swimming facilities…read moreguaranteed to delight people of all ages. How to Get There: Ride a jeepney to Valencia (php12/person) from Dumaguete public market with a dropoff point in Valencia public plaza. From there, ride a trike going to the address. It's about 15-20 minutes and is located right along the road so you can't miss it. Fare is php40.00 - one way. Related Fees: Entrance : php60.00 per person - includes access to the pool area Cottage: php200.00 There are two types of pool area in the venue. The first one is where the pool is filled with water from the river and the other one is filled with chemical treated water. If you choose the latter, you will have access to two swimming pools, the first one just after you enter the premise and the other one just after it, separated by a pathway going down. The second pool area has slides if you're into that. Food is available in the venue's very own restaurant and they are cheap. You can choose to eat it inside the resto or bring it with you to your cottage. Price ranges between php120-250. Try their pizza, either the cheesy or the meaty variety. It's super affordable at just php200 (cheesy) and php250 (meaty). Soda, water, shakes, juices, etc can also be bought frommthe resto and they're also very affordable. For thrill seeking adventurers, you can opt to try out their ATV or Zipline. ATV rental is at php200-250 while zipline is at 150. It's just one way though so think about that. Don't forget to go down the hanging bridge just after the second pool area. You will have a majestic view of the water flowing from the mountain cascading from one huge boulder to the other. I was a bit hesitant to go to Tejero at first but I'm glad I did. It was all worth it. Try to reserve one day when you're in Dumaguete and visit this paradise. You'll be glad you did.

A dive center that is within the property and surrounded by dive sites and endless wonder, this place is a no brainer for any level of diving. The hotel experience also has many positive experiences to note. I had booked the Garden Double Room plus an extra bed (mattress). For this trip, I had decided to take my grandfather with me and he also decided to take one of his friends (so he has someone to hang out with while im out with dive training for 2 days). Day 1: Checked in at the front. Received our welcome drinks (calamansi juice). Requested for extra mattress (breakfast included). Paid the remainder of my balance for my booking. Brought to our room (hut). Lagaw and Pictures. LUNCH! Lunch servings were huge. One plate could feed at least 2 people. I could not finish my own plate. You could ask for extra plates to split orders, or they can split the order before they are served. We had: Calamari, Zurcher Geshnetzeltes and Paniertes Schnitzel an extra side of mashed potatoes. All very good and well cooked. After a 6 hour drive from Bacolod, this was good reward for a smooth trip. It was also during this meal that I learned that if you have any leftovers, on your request, they can keep the food and reheat it for your next meal. So for dinner, I went back for my leftovers, but added their Chocolate Coffee Pie for dessert. My grandfather wanted to sit by the beach and relax, so I went off my own way to the PADI Dive center. I got to ask them some questions, meet my instructor and even got a run-down of each dive, what to expect and their locations. PADI Courses are available online through their website and this location is listed as one of their certifying locations. Each class can have have up to 5 students. For this location, the options available to me are: Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift Dive, Night Dive, Deep Dive, Adventure Navigation Dive. I was thinking of doing getting Nitrox certified, so they sent me the course material to study and prepare for Nitrox. More about this on Day 3. Day 2: We all got free breakfast. Breakfast open as early as 6:30. It is already included with the booking, so we didnt need to pay any extra. It is also buffet style with an omellete station, coffee station, and cereal station. Each day has a different theme. This day was Filipino themed breakfast; however, the stations remain the same. After you first place, you are served a fruit bowl and the omellete is brought to your table. If you still have food or drink on your table and you need to leave to get more of something, i suggest leaving your napkin over your food so the birds dont get them while youre away. They were happy to make me a new omellete after I had walked away to get more rice. Haha - it was a funny sight seeing birds feasting on my feast. You can also sit outside of the restaurant, at the huts, and be served your meal. The huts have buzzers in one of the pillars to call the servers. For lunch, we split an order of Fish Fillet A La Pura Vida and Caesar Salad. Learning from the day before, I had them keep my leftovers to consume again later for Dinner. Between each chapter i studied for my review, I jumped into the pool for a few mins and went back to resume my studies. The deepest part of the pool is about 5ft and it is consistently warm. The shower to rinse off has good, strong pressure and its not muddy around the area, so you can just simple rinse and walk off without having dirt stick to your feet. For dinner, we had Chicken Coron Bleau and a side of Spatzli. Played pool and called it a day. Day 3: Dive day. German Breakfast Damron is my instructor whom I had met at day 1. I went into my scheduled meeting time at 8:30 in their office and got myself fitted with all their equipment: Dive computer, Mask, Air, Weights, Fins, BCD, etc. They provided everything. Everything was clearly labelled and Put into a crate for easy tracking and on a clearly labelled hanger. Air inspection. Buddy Check. Ready to dive. Dive 1 - Deep Dive. Went for as low as 30meters.. Dive 2 - Navigation. Lunch was back on land and just had Kinilaw and Zuppa Di Funghi (Mushroom Soup). Dive 3 - Night Dive. Each dive we also identified some fish and coral. Some were dangerous and most of them were safe. It was really fun to see what happens down in the deep. Decided to hold off Nitrox for now. Mission Success Day 4: Dive Day. Spanish Breakfast Say to say I only have 2 dives left, but a terrific memory nonetheless. Dive 4 - Peak Performance Buoyancy. I had trouble with my weights not being heavy enough so My instructor was able to help me get optimal weights and be able to train my buoyancy with new weights. The weights I had on was too light for what I was using. I kept floating away. But we nailed it, got it right, and got the OK from him. Dive 5 - Drift Dive. Not too many people were around and the weather was perfect! We swam a bit and ate. Bathrooms are clean and they do have showers. Food wise we got: veg lumpia, lumpia Shanghai, Hawaiian pizza, quattro pizza, fajitas, calamari, pancit canton, adobo, chili chicken, Thai noodles, nasi goreng. The food was delicious! My favorites were the nasi goreng rice and the pizzas. The Thai noodles were just okay and my mom wasn't a fan of the fajitas. For drinks, my parents and aunt and uncle got smoothies while my cousin and sisters and I sipped on San Miguel Lite, and a few different cocktails: Pura Vida, Caipiriniah, Mai Thai, Hawaiian Sunrise. Fun place to hang out for a few hours!

The view was absolutely DIVINE! (see what I did there? ;) We were greeted by a modest picture of an open concept structure. However as you draw near, you know that the simplicity was a perfect complement to the peaceful nature it rests upon. The nice breeze and sound of the sea welcomes your approach. What greets you in the lobby is the breathtaking view of the infinity pool leading towards the sea. My son loved it so much he quickly asked if he can jump in, and that he did. He stayed there the entire day I might add. Conveniently the rooms (all 9 of them) were just a few steps from the pool so it was not so hard to keep an eye out for him. The rooms are no suite but are adequately sized for a family of 3. They were clean with everything we needed. Surprisingly the beds and the linen sheets were hotel grade and yes I can tell they are because when you're pregnant you tend to be very picky and observant for such comforts. They even have a common kitchen but hardly used it. There is a restaurant nearby though so food wasn't an issue. Service was superb, staff - friendly, made us feel right at home. Apparently this location is close to adventures and tourist attractions. Kawasan Falls, Canyoneering and Sardine Run were just a few minutes away as we were told. Our intent was to go Whale Shark Watching in a neighbouring town, Oslob. Their staff was very accommodating to help us with arrangements. Oh and their English is superb so no worries in communication. The cherry on top to this beautiful place was the stunning sunsets as the days end. I wish I have words to describe the feeling when you see it but you will just have to be there to see and experience it for yourself. Memories were indeed made.

Our recent day trip to dakak for 8 people had some issues. We were charge 1200 PHP per person but the beach staff decline to provide us beach towels saying this basic beach amenity is for check in guest only. There were no lounge chair available at the beach. I asked the staff to reconsider, the staff response seem unreasonable. He seem like too underpaid to give a f@ck. The jet ski seems overpriced 3000 php for 3000 PHP. The food is not as good and has limited option unlike last year. Overall, we had great time swimming , kayaking and jet skiing though. I just thought that a beach towel is a basic amenity and should be provided .

Still wildly popular among tourists around the world (their advertising budget must be through the roof), the main draw here is their beautiful white sand beach right off of the Sulu Sea. It's absolutely gorgeous! Other than that, this place is what Cher Horowitz would call a 'full-on Monet.' Everything is beautiful from far away but it's really a total mess when you get closer. Our bungalow smelled damp when we walked in and there were ants in the bathroom. The shower drain was clogged and the other amenities just seemed old and tired. We were luckily only here for one day but we were very unimpressed with their lunch and breakfast. Their open air restaurant was almost overrun by birds (can you get a scarecrow or something?!?) and the food and service just was not what to par to what I would equate with a nice resort. We were mostly there to bond with family which made the experience great but if I came here for vacation, I'd be disappointed. It's big, impersonal..but boy their beach is beautiful.
