    Relleno combo plate
    Kristen B.

Excellent food! I loved their green sauce but wasn't a huge fan of their red sauce. It wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as most the others I've had at good places around here. I had the Chile relleno combo plate and the relleno was excellent and very crispy and had a mixture I think of Mexican cheeses inside. the beans were excellent! The service was also amazing and the staff was all extremely friendly. I would definitely go back again.

A view of the Las Vegas, NM plaza and a sense of the homey ambiance of this small, friendly cafe.

This hidden secret treasure needs to be discovered by any adventure travelers. Family run in the traditional manner--where the people who prepare your food are the same people whose names grace the single-page menu and take your order and clean the tables. You can taste the pride and care that they put into ownership in every bite, see it in every act and experience it in every interaction. And the locals know. Everyone knew everyone else in the, currently, nine-table establishment. They spoke to each other, to the owners and said hi to us as well. If you want to experience Las Vegas, NM, you need to take a seat at El Encanto, order a meal and savor the flavor of an amazing family and a vibrant community.

Nice little family place on the square. Clean, and quiet. Service was impeccable. My chicken enchilada was so delicious. But my wife's beef brisket was even better! Good coffee, too. After lunch we took a nice stroll around the square.

Combination with chili relleno, cheese enchilada, and beans covered in green chili sauce.

I really enjoyed my combination plate with ground beef taco, cheese enchilada, and chili relleno covered in green chili sauce. Probably the best chili relleno that I've had, it had a slight crunch to the outside, they are usually very soft when I've had them before. The beans were good, maybe a little on the salty side, but i liked them. I walked in late in the day and got my order to go. The staff was very kind and friendly. I will eat here again next time I'm in Las Vegas.

Excellent food, excellent family/owner service. Quaint location charm. Eat here. You won't regret it.

Huevos rancheros in red and green.

We stopped here on the way home and the breakfast Huevos rancheros were so tasty and with the homemade torts. .. oh my. So good. And the place is like "Cheers" where everyone knows your name.

This restaurant is shut down. Building is empty, very disappointing as the ratings were so good.

Portions were perfect and prices are low. The good took me back to my grandmas house. The food is simply delicious. Would highly recommend.

We ordered a burrito, fries and drinks - a Manhattan for my wife and a chocolate martini with Kettle One and crème de cacao for me. My wife's drink was to her liking, but the chocolate martini tasted like there was coffee liqueur in it. Since I didn't know when our waitress would appear again, I told the first person we saw - a young man - that I couldn't drink anything with coffee because of the caffeine, and that I needed it remade. He took it back to redo. While we were waiting, one of the pool players dropped a very loud f-bomb when he missed a shot. Then a young child began crying very loudly. The young man came back with the remade drink, and the coffee taste was gone. After it had been over 45 minutes I had to ask what looked like the manager what had happened to our burrito and fries. She went back to check, and our food finally appeared. The burritos were long on rice and short on carne asada, something we couldn't know until we started eating. At some point our original waitress came back, and my wife told her we had to send back my first drink because of the coffee ingredient. She denied any coffee-containing spirit was used, and walked away. We never saw her again. I had to ask the manager for an itemized ticket, since the ones we had were sign for a total amount only, with no itemized detail. Since the original waitress had closed out our ticket right after we ordered and had given us our check, we paid and left. No tip was left. If you want a properly-mixed drink, be prepared to explicitly request every ingredient. Better still, don't expect great drinks or food at this place - stay away. There are lots of other choices in Las Vegas NM.

Restaurant was fairly busy upon our arrival but we were seated immediately. We ordered chips and salsa (which were not complimentary) to start off. My mom and BFF ordered the chile rellenos plate and I ordered a Navajo taco with Xmas (red and green chile). Food was ok, both mom and I enjoyed our plates. I found the green chile was spicier than the red, but the red had more flavor. My friend did not like his plate at all as he thought it was terrible. The salsa was very mild and lacked flavor, but the chips were good and they give you plenty of them. Also, I did not like how they served the entrees on paper plates and your drinks in red Dixie plastic cups. I feel that's fine if you are ordering fast food or eating outside at a taco truck/stand but not at a sit-down restaurant. I will definitely not be back, only because I don't live in the area, but if I did I might order take out.

It was an average Saturday night and we were on our way home, so we stopped. There were two waitstaff for the entire diner side. (The main dining room was being used by a party). So, in total, there were about 15 tables for 2 waitstaff. I should have known something was off at the beginning, when our waitress started off by telling us how she hadn't been able to eat herself, while taking our order. The whole time she complained about how she was slammed. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with a salad, veg, mashed potatoes and gravy. His came out sans salad and completely cold. I ordered a grilled cheese with chips. I think that sandwich saw the flattop for a max of 10 seconds. The cheese hadn't melted and was still cold from the walkin. AND ALL OF THIS TOOK 35 minutes for our meal to arrive from order to delivery. And, as a bonus, the light was out in the ladies room and I almost knocked myself out, going into the stall. (The light, I learned later was outside the ladies restroom). It was absolutely miserable and we will be eating elsewhere when we go to Vegas.
