It is so welcoming and the staff are so nice. The menu is all fresh ingredients, and organic or natural mezcals and wines. I really liked the Tartar de Cecina Yacapixtla, and the last mezcal on the menu (the name escapes me). It is more or less similar menu prices to the US, but I think the space and presentation are worth the higher cost. The chef is also there to answer any questions about the menu. Much of the staff speaks English, and they are patient if you try to speak Spanish as a foreigner! I did not order a cocktail, but they looked fancy and delicious. If you are around, give it a try! Only had drinks so can't speak to the food but the cocktails were delicious. My husband doesn't drink so they made him a really creative mocktail and I had the White Calypso cocktail which was amazing. Chatted one of the owners briefly and apparently the cocktails were created by a partner who used to create the cocktail menu for Pujol. Seems like it would be a really fun spot on the weekend. They also have Negroni Wednesday but sadly we're leaving tomorrow! Will definitely come back next time we're in Roma Norte.

Located on the second floor (third floor American) of the El Palacio de Hierro Polanco luxury mall. It serves tapas. We had jamon croquetas, breaded Manchego cheese, fried calamari, bacalao sevillana, patatas braves, and grilled octopus. They have a ton of options for wine, beer, and cocktails. I'm not a huge mezcal person and don't like spicy flavors so struggled to find something I loved but my boyfriend tried a mezcal flight and a spicy cocktail and he loved it all! I came here on a Thursday night and a Saturday night and both times I had an absolute blast dancing. My buddies and I took over the stage area and quickly (and inadvertently) sent people in the vicinity away. When you are uncoordinated as we are at cutting a rug, this is what tends to happen. On Thursday, the place started to wind down around 1 or 1:30, and on Saturday the place was popping until at least 2. This is a 4-star establishment because the DJ on Saturday could do no wrong on the ones and twos, the bartenders are quick to make drinks, and the people are all there to have a great time! Next time I'm in CDMX I'll stop by again, Pata Negra!
