This is a great stop, even for tourists. They have a good selection of tourist type books that are…read morerelatively inexpensive. I got a nice little book of Archaeology of Yucatan for $3 (USD). They have several books for tourists about Yucatan ruins, cities, Mayan legends etc, many for only ~$2-9 (USD). They also have an inexpensive line of child/young adult type books that are only ~$1 (USD), that are great for people trying to learn spanish.

It's the kind of bookstore where you can easily spend a long time just browsing. The staff was very friendly and there were always people available to help or answer questions. I ended up discovering a book and author I had never read before, El tercer amor by Hiromi Kawakami, which I'm now reading and really enjoying. A lovely stop for anyone who enjoys bookstores and discovering something new to read.
