This is my favorite places in town to have authentic Argentinian barbeque. They bring to the table warm bread with a plate of cheese, prosciutto, tomatoes, olive oil and some spices, really delicious and is courtesy of the house. I will recommend parrillada which bring different cuts of beef, sausages and sweetbread everything perfectly cooked and tasting fantastic. I love the fried yuca and their potato salad. Been coming here for years! Definitely the best parrillada I've ever had. I always order the "parrillada para dos" which is meant for two people, but it really feeds 4 people. Having just returned from Argentina we went this past weekend with friends who had just returned from Uruguay. We brought our own Chilean wine. We had a variety of starters and main courses and desserts. The food was excellent - in particular the provoleta, matambre, entrana, and costillos. Great food, steak is always cooked perfectly and the chimi sauce is amazing. I can eat the ham and cheese appetizer as a meal that's how good it is. But everything is always amazing, I haven't gotten anything that has been disappointing. My family always comes here and it's probably always full on game days and weekends. There are two parts and two floors if I'm not mistaken. You can also buy fresh meat from their butcher. I would recommend if you are craving steak, this would be the place to go. Came across this gem today, was recommended it by my mother who is a frequent patron. Despite its humble size, the food is beyond what I expected. My family has been coming here for years. The restaurant is OK, but the best part about this place is the butcher shop, where you can find all kinds of delicious meats, sausages for a great BBQ. I would recommend you to buy the meat and take it to cook, rather than the restaurant, which is obviously less expensive and you get to choose exactly what meat you want. read more

They serve the kids beverages in small coffee cups and have the nerve to charge $3!! A can of Coke was $3.50! The waiter gave himself a tip by pencilling it in himself! Fries - best fries in a long time. rice and beans - so and so - but beans was not salty. tres leches - very delicate this cake; very flavorful as well. vanilla pudding - not too sweet; just the way we like it. cappuccino - wish they had liquor 43 to add to it. Will definitely go back here in the future; hope foodies do not discover this place or it will be pack always - it gets busy enough with the locals as it is. I went to have a "parrillada" with my family this past Sunday because the other Argentinian restaurant Boca Juniors was closed ,,,we sat down and we order, 2 meat empanadas for starter, a parrillada for 2 and a kid menu which consisted in chicken cutlet and mashed potatoes. After a relative short wait we got the empanadas, but instead of meat they brought us chicken, we send them back , we then received the meat empanadas ( ICE COLD),we didn't complaint since I have been a customer to this place since 2003,,finally the food arrived, my kid got fries instead of the mashed potatoes,we send it back,,,when we started to eat my wife noticed the meat was so raw that was almost impossible to cut it, the kidneys , sweetbreads and chorizo where so raw that where bleeding!!,Im from Argentina and a very avid at the grill, and I know How dangerous could be to eat raw kidneys and sweetbread!!, not to mention the sausage, I called the waiter and far for creating a scene my intention was to point the "chef??" on the dangerous of serving this kind of staples Raw to the public!!, before we left the place to NEVER come back I have a little chat to the owner and his son who far for worried about my awful experience eating meat dipped in grease he was more worried about if I were still want to take home a dozen of empanadas I told him I was planing to take to Connecticut in my way out, off course I say I don't want to take any more chances with this greasy place and we left. Had lunch with a couple of friends. I ordered the Steak, Veal & Short ribs combo. I'm sorry to say that the meat was Tough. Taste, portion size and variety were fine if only the meat were not so tough. Tough to my standards are surely different to those who wrote reviews. Came here for friends birthday, 5 people party. We were seated promptly. Waited 5-10 minutes just to get water and bread to the tables. Waiter took just as long to ask for drinks and appetizers. We decided to just order main entrees. All the steaks were undercooked, my friend ordered his well done and it came bloody. All 5 of us felt the same. The worst part of the night came when the check came. They added a 20% gratuity automatically to total and written on the top. First time I've been to restaurant where tip was forced down my throat. I have been shopping at this butcher for years and it seems this place is getting more popular by the minute. I travel out from New Jersey (45 minutes with no traffic) just for these cuts. The traditional Sausages and two finger size Bife de Chorizo cuts are as close as you can get to the chops from Argentina. The steaks are easy to grill to perfection. Put on your favorite Tango music (Gardel or Hugo) and perhaps drink a Quilmes Beer or Malbec as you grill and your set! The Chimmi Churri is not too spicy...just perfect. Worst experience EVER. I went to have dinner wth my husband and they sat us all the way at the end where it was freezing. We had to ask to be seated elsewhere and while the waitress did, she showed an attitude while doing it. We ordered and it took forever. The sides were so small we had to get an extra side. We ordered a parrillada. Some of the meat were burnt- yet cold. To top it off, while we were having our meal, a roach appeared out of nowhere. Instead of the waiters getting rid of it, they stood and began to say stupid things such as "es la mascota del restaurante," its the restaurant's pet- in english. One of the waiters came and shoved my husband without apologizing to step on the roach. No one disinfected the area. We had to bring it to the attention of the waitress that was in charge of, not only our table, but was also in charge of 7 other tables while there were about 4 male waiters standing there doing nothing and making fun of the incident. The manager never apprached us, nor apologized and we were charged full price for an infested meal. Never have i had such a horrible and disgusting experience at a restaurant in Queens. Having been to (and spent a considerable amount of time in) Argentina, I can confidently say that this restaurant is basically as good as it gets. If I didn't know any better I would have thought that I was actually back in Buenos Aires. If you are looking for authentic Argentine food, then look no further. Unless you are in Argentina or Miami, this will be your most authentic and (I mean it!) affordable Argentinean gourmet experience. There are so many generic steak houses out there posing as Argentine, as well as overpriced pretentious joints that have nothing to do with the hospitable, delicious, joyful world of Argentinean cuisine/dining - as far as the European element of it as well as the more traditional, provincial one. The parillada is amazing and arguably, the most affordable I have had in the States (especially with the usually stratospheric NYC prices), the service is rather prompt (considering they are almost always packed) and very friendly. It is a place to not pretend, but to just BE and experience the "joie de vivre". The desserts are out of this world amazing, and - now if you know Argentinean, and in particular porteño stuff, you will be thrilled to be offered the legendary "postre vigilante" - something I never, but NEVER was able to find in the US. This place comes the closest possible to the true Argentinean experience, almost literally transporting you to a barrio in Buenos Aires, helping one discover it, and the other - nostalgically re-live it. I absolutely recommend this gem. Hurry before it gets ruined by the awesome world of mouth and the "hipster attack". read more

Very disappointing. I brought my Argentine father here for his birthday. Although he enjoyed it, I wasn't very happy. I came here twice 2 years ago and really liked this place, but I'm not sure what has happened since then. First, service was a DISASTER. Our waiter first annoyed me when he took the order of a table next to us that arrived AFTER us, just because they were "friends" of the manager. Plain rude. We were finally acknowledged over 10 minutes later after being seated. Second, he was very jumpy and quick. Especially quick to run away. We'd be in the middle of ordering and he'd walk away to go do something else! We also had to repeatedly ask him for things! I felt like I was in a madhouse. Waiters were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They were taking orders, running food, making drinks, making desserts, etc. There was just too much going on. I understand it was a busy Saturday night and we were a party of 7, however I've experienced better service under busier conditions. Management really needs to do something about it. Get bus boys to relieve the stress off of your waiters! Second, the food. The meat from the parillada was the most disappointing! It was basically all FAT and bone. VERY poor quality! The meat empanadas are honestly the only thing worth coming here for. We made the long drive down here from Westchester and were left disappointed. read more
