We called in advance to let them know we had a big table 6+ plus. When we informed them we would be a few minutes late and a few less people they let us know they never wrote our info down. We still ended up waiting for a table for 20-30 minutes. The owner came up and we informed us that he wasn't sure who took the reservation said it must've been a Mexican. We then finally sat. Took another 10 to get our drinks and over 45 minutes for our food. The burrito my friend ordered was cold in the middle, my shrimp was far too hot for me to even eat, even the lettuce beside the shrimp was hot. This review is for takeout. The person who answered the phone was knowledgeable about the menu, as I had questions about new dishes that are not available online, nor do they show up on the menu online. (I heard about it from a friend.) Unfortunately, that dish is apparently partially cooked on a lava rock that it is served on, hence it does not lend well to take out. However, a similar new was available for carryout, and it was delicious. The presentation is awesome as it is served in a carved out pineapple that it's also grilled. I'd definitely recommend the Pina loco if you like pineapple, chicken, shrimp and melty cheese! Oh my! Service was severely lacking, our server came over after 20+ minutes or so and finally took our drink order, only to tell us she isn't even supposed to be our server? There was no clear distinction on which server was in which section. My server actually was chastised at one point for not clearing a table fast enough by a worker who was pretty much just standing around. My server did well, although at one point I told her I had a question, she looked directly at me and left the table! I'm chalking that up to her not being able to hear due to the RUDE family at the table next to us screaming about losing their shoes or something? Anyway, my boyfriend's food was written down correctly but came out incorrect. I got the nachos which was 90% lettuce so might as well advertise that as a salad. The cheese dip was good but the price was outrageous for the small amount. Overall the prices were very high for food that was meh. If you want good Mexican food, there is a restaurant down the road that's way better with GREAT service and prices, and a very very kind owner. read more

Now this place was delicious! The menu had a variety of things but I just had to try the chilaqiles! My husband went with the birria tacos and chicken tortilla soup, we shared for the amount they gave and it being our first time! Wasn't pricey at all! Kids went with the traditional hamburger and nuggets, which they loved and enjoyed and more because it was under "whatever" (cheeseburger) and "I don't eat Mexican food" (nuggets) so we had a kick at the names under the kids menu! Our server was amazing, spoke both English and Spanish, she was just amazing and super attentive! This has place has a traditional Mexican vibe to it which makes you feel at home! First time here, food was good. My nachos were good and filling, kids got the create combo for 2 tacos and beans and rice and were enough. Wife's chicken chimichangas were good, she said a bit dry but still good! The chips and salsa were really good as well, salsa had good spice! Not a fan. The food was just okay. Nothing special. The quesadilla was just a folded tortilla with meat in it with everything on the side. Ordered a skinny margarita and it was tasteless. Ordered extra salt on the rim and there was barely any. When I got the bill , the margarita was $19! It also said extra tequila shot for $4. I didn't order that. The salsa was really good. Tasted fresh, and had a good medium spice level. The cheese dip was great. Unfortunately, I found the meat in the chimichangas severely lacking in flavor. It's too bad, because the chimichangas were actually crispy - which no one else around here seems to be able to do. The ground beef just seemed unseasoned, and the chicken barely had more going for it. The beans were bland and were begging for bacon grease. If you could put the shredded beef from El Camino into the crispy body of El Graneros chimichangas, you'd really have something. I have to give props to the staff - very friendly and attentive. But the bland flavor and the pricing are turnoffs for me. read more
