This place is pretty big and has a lot of seating. We came on a Wednesday night and were able to get seated right away. The service was really good and food and drinks came out fast. The perfect margarita was as very tasty. I ordered the seafood enchiladas and my friend ordered the steak tacos. The seafood enchiladas was good but I could barely taste the seafood so I wish they either had bigger chunks of crabmeat or bigger shrimp. It was tasty but I wouldn't order that dish again. It was busy tonight but everything was wonderful. As soon as we were sat, our waitress was there asking for a drink order. Menu is really extensive. 4 pages of just entrees We split shrimp fajitas. It had 12 large Shrimp and lots of extras We still had enough left to have a Small amount for breakfast. Sopiapillas for desert were wonderful warm and tasty Angie was our waitperaon. She was terrific The restaurant is large and has lots of room for big groups. We watched groups of 7- 13 come in and all seat together The restaurant is super clean and tables are cleaned quickly after people leaveand done efficiently. Everything went well. When we moved to Reunion 18 years ago El Jardin was our first night to go out for dinner. We remembered having gone past this restaurant and decided it was a good place to start. We enjoyed the food so much and it was a family ran traditional Mexican food that had great specials and at the time Thursday was our date night and margaritas were only $3 and most excellent. We met Ben and some if the family and were welcomed from day one. Those first few months every Thursday was El Jardin and sometimes Saturdays or Sundays were El Jardin. You can look and even find other Mexican restaurants in the Denver metro area and some may have a dish you like better than El Jardin or a margarita that you prefer, but with so many things that have received five stars, you will be hard pressed to find any restaurants that come close to the quality dining experience of going to El Jardin. Don't even make an opinion before you have gone three times and ordered different entrees each time then decide if a Dollar or two in price will lead you to a different restaurant whether it be 1 it 2 dollars less or more. I have visited El Jardin four times in two weeks. I just want to try everything. I know they've been around for a long time so I guess I'm late to the party. I have yet to be disappointed! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Lilian is an Angel! Tip her well. First I tried Pablo's enchiladas. The sauce is a white chicken cream sauce, which is a nice change from red sauce. The tamale plate is probably my favorite so far! The hot green chile is delicious and has the perfect amount of heat. And if you want something on the lighter side I recommend the fajita taco salad. Fajitas over greens in tortilla bowl with guac and sour cream to top it off. The steak picado is like beef fajitas smothered in green chile. Served with beans, rice, and tortillas. It was really good actually! It's one of their own creations. If you want cheesy smothered Mexican food I highly recommend this place! read more

I love the food at El Jardin, and we have been many times over the years. I highly recommend the sopapilla. Chips are great, although the salsa is a bit watery. Ambiance is nice. Mexicana. Reminds me of a nice restaurant I visited in Tijuana once upon a time. My biggest issue is that the last few times we've gone, there is always a long wait between when we're seated and we finally get served our food. El Jardín didn't disappoint! The cucumber and cilantro margarita was incredible (I ordered it with a few jalapeños for some extra spice!), full of flavor and perfectly balanced. The chips and salsa were delicious as the chips were delivered warm and the salsa was very fresh and tasty. Our main dishes were all fabulous as all 6 of us ordered different mains and everyone raved about how theirs was the best! The green chili sauce is a must, even as a topper to a main dish. The fajitas were presented steaming hot and the veggies accompanying them were plentiful! We were in the area for a sporting event and will definitely make our way back to El Jardín again soon! read more

Staff was kind, food is so terrible. Not authentic Mexican food. We ordered the enchiladas and mango fish tacos, and both dishes were bland. The beans taste like canned beans, the rice was stale, the enchiladas were lacking flavor, the walnuts in the strawberry walnut salad were stale, and the corn tortillas were cold. They don't have any salsa to go with your food and when you first get there the chips and salsa you get tastes like watered down Salsa Pace. The venue is beautiful and staff is welcoming. If you're looking for good, authentic food I would not recommend. There's a food truck a few blocks down with really tasty and authentic Mexican food off of Quebec and 60th that's called "Tacos Sabor Chilango". read more

Decided on El Jardin, by driving past it & it was mentioned by a DJ on the radio, so we went... we got there about 45 minutes before closing & didn't want to be the "Last" customers, so we walked in along with 3 other groups going to eat as well.. we were greeted & seated very quickly, the waiter was "On it", took our orders & brought them out soon after.. I was very happy with my food.. the chips & salsa were yummy... no chunks of cilantro to make you think twice not too HOT so you wanna dip again!! We have been eating at El Jardin for years, it's a 35 minute drive but has always been worth it. Never had a bad experience till now. We went there for Valentine's Day, my husband got the ground beef burrito with medium green chili and he said it had no flavor. I got the ground beef flautas with enchilada sauce, one of my favorite dishes, when I got it, it barely had any sauce and it was on the bottom, I told the waitress but she didn't understand, she was new there, I didn't recognize anyone there at all. Anyway she brought me a side of sauce, but my food had no flavor. When we got the check , I was charged $3.25 for sauce that should have been on my food to begin with. So very disappointed.
