"Too good not to leave a review" - my perfect friend. So fire. The espresso martini was one of the best I'd ever had. Additionally, I blacked out but all the appetizers I had were incredible. And I felt like I was one of the fairies in shreks swamp in there but I didn't feel dirty about it. I remember seeing giant cherries and my waiters name was Miguel. Love

The C U T E S T little restaurant I have been to so far in Madrid! The decor is crazy, but cute and goes together so well. We went in on a Wednesday night at around 9. They were fairly busy, but not completely packed. The menu is so extensive! They mostly have desserts and drinks, but offer some meal options (for carnivores and herbivores) as well. What I ordered: I got s glass of wine along with a yogurt smoothie-type dessert they have. The smoothie was yogurt based, but had a little ice, strawberry sauce, and a scoop of ice cream in it. The particular one I ordered came with walnuts and chocolate on top. It was good, but if I ever come back I'm going to try their brownies and ice cream!

Know this first: part of the proceeds go to Doctors Across Borders (how cool!?) Atmosphere: adorable, dim, funky, eclectic, fun date spot Food: tons of interesting, different choices (for example: Thai salad, hummus, mushroom risotto..) Dessert: this menu is just as long as the actual menu.... amazing. There's chocolate from multiple different countries that you can choose from and over 20 chocolate desserts... looked amazing Drinks: known for their funky lemonades (lilac lemonade, kiwi lemonade, etc), also have really fun-sounding cocktails, and a ton of tea options

Great place. Ambiance is super cool. Love the fact that is inside the store. Food was amazing. I ordered the tikka masala chicken was delicious! The drinks were so good too. Overall a place to visit when in Madrid.

We came here because Lonely Planet told us it was their favorite haunt for drinks. The drinks and food are fine, but it's the kitschy decor that's super wild. We played I Spy. :) Here's a photo for you. I Spy a hummingbird. Can you find it?

Place was dirty, chairs uncomfortable, floor was sticky and the service was bad. Not recommended at all.

Unvelibably rude. This place has the worst attention in the whole City, and the food is terrible overpriced. Avoid!

I visited on a rainy Thursday night so there wasn't a large crowd and I grabbed an open seat at the end of the bar. A friendly gentleman gave me a menu and asked what I was interested in. When I mentioned the Old Fashioned, he advised that it was an Amaro-based version without the usual bourbon/whiskey spirit. I noticed a Brooklyn and commented that I sometimes made those at home. Very politely he noted that if I was making them in the US, it wasn't with Amer Picon, which isn't available in the US. He's right. So an actual, real Brooklyn it would be! I thoroughly enjoyed the Brooklyn. I also enjoyed some brief conversation with the bartender who was very good. The kind who uses the spoon or straw to taste each drink to ensure it was made properly. As I was paying my bill and mentioning to the gentleman who initially greeted me that I wanted to bring my business partners here later in the week, he wrote his phone number on a business card and told me to call him in advance as the bar got very busy when it wasn't raining. Turns out, this friendly man is Alberto the owner! Guess I didn't do quite as much research as I could have! I regret we weren't able to make a second visit to 1862 Dry Bar on this particular trip, but it is going to be my first stop next time I'm back in Madrid. Great vibe, excellent staff and a classy and friendly owner.

I think they mean "Bar Rooster."…read more In any event ... Stopped in here on New Year's Day around 8:30 and the place was dead. For that reason, I can say the service was great. Everyone must have been hung over from the night before. Or still sleeping. The die hard NYE revelers stay out until about 7 AM in this country. Not me. I can't hang. Overall, the cocktail menu has about 20 of the usual suspects: martini, strawberry daiquiri, mai tai, manhattan, sidecar, etc. No prices in the menu but expect to pay about 7,25 each. In other words, about half the price you'd pay at a cocktail bar in New York, so a major bargain for me. The sidecar was delicious, as was the whiskey sour. While not explicitly clear in the menu, this place will either create cocktails for you or let you create your own. Just ask. Desperately wanting paella across the street at La Barraca, the unoccupied waiter took the time to run across the street to check on availability, then again to make a reservation. Excellent customer service, though he was taken aback at my gesture of a small tip for his efforts, which he reluctantly accepted. Bottom line is there really aren't that many bars in Madrid dedicated specifically to cocktails, despite the size of the city. Consider this place a rarity. Other: Very classy decor. Cool music. Chill vibes. Free wifi zone. No food.
