Delicious tacos and rice but the beans were a little stiff in texture this visit. And maybe when the establishment serves jalapeños with other miscellaneous toppings like sour cream or cheese on them, it leads a person to believe that they're recycled from somebody else's leftover plate. And what if the people receiving those jalapeños are allergic to sour cream? I know a glove might just need to be changed but it's just a suggestion, I'm not the boss. Let's start off with the fact that we had multiple set of silverware that were dirty and had food still on them. Both bathrooms did not have soap and unfortunately , the food was mediocre at best. Ive never had shrimp fajitas that I had to fight to get off of the shell, to then burn myself while trying to do so on the pot. All the fight, to attempt to eat them and they absolutely lacked flavor. The worst fajitas and chimichangas we've ever eaten, and top it off with cold rice. We will gladly never return. Horrible experience! I do not eat quesadillas. I asked if they had wheat tortillas, he said yes. I ordered the chicken lunch fajitas with wheat. He brings me quesadillas. I said I did not order this, I ordered fajitas. He said no I ordered quesadillas. I explained no, the person I was with ordered quesadillas but I ordered fajitas. He continued to argue with me! This is not an authentic Mexican restauraunt. I ordered a platter with a taco, chicken enchilada and cheese enchilada. My husband ordered the taco salad. Chips were light and crisp. Salsa decent flavor. But my meal was anything but authentic Mexican. The cheese enchilada was loaded with American cheddar cheese and cheddar cheese covered the enchilada. The sauce was not the customary sauce (which has no tomatoes) nor the customary red Tex-Mex sauce. Instead the sauce was more like a spaghetti sauce with chunks of sweet tomato. The enchilada covered with cheddar fresh cut uncooked purple onions. A total new Americanized version of the Cheese Enchilada. The Chicken Enchilada was a tortilla with chunks of chopped chicken. They had no flavor outside of "bland cooked chicken" and there was no sauce. The Chicken Enchilada was covered with cheese and not a sour cream sauce which the waiter said would come with it. My husband and I love this place and think it is the best Mexican food in Zachary. We love their frozen margaritas-go for happy hour to get best price. We come here almost once a week. Service is usually great and the food comes out hot and fairly quickly. Tonight, we ordered the trio fajitas (steak, shrimp a and chicken) for two and ordered a side of grilled veggies. My daughter's food was not cooked properly. The kitchen did not prepare my wife's food properly as well. The meal was not cost effective.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. Personally, I don't like it here. We came looking for the old restaurant, yet it was gone, so we stuck it out. The food was awful. My family and I came here to eat as a family of 3. We were sat at a table that was dirty; a poor show case of hygiene. They didn't give us any utensils till we had to ask over 2 times. The food wasn't hot, barely even warm. The cheese slid off? The meat had no taste, an awful texture too, don't even think it was real beef. The entire time we were ignored for the most part. Refried beans looked more like mystery slop.. The rice was bland with a weird after taste. The chips and salsa was the best food item there. Where do I begin? This restaurant was previously called Los Vaqueros. I noticed the name had changed, but it was still a Mexican restaurant so I decided to give them a try. I should have kept driving. Me and my family ordered our food. First let me say that it looked like slop. Nothing about the meal looked appetizing. The refried beans looks like grey glue. The cheese on the enchiladas wasn't melted, and the steak looked like mystery meat. The texture was completely off. My husband took one bite of his meal and sent it back. When asked if he wanted something else, he declined. Me being me I tried to power through. I ate my chicken enchilada which wasn't half bad going in. The problems came when it had to come out. I won't get graphic I'll just say that my issue required a lot of toilet paper and a bottle of Pepto Bismol. The wait staff was pitiful. They seemed well staffed but poorly trained. They seated us at a table that was dirty with dirty linens. The utensils were spotted and dirty looking as well. The best thing they had to offer was the chips and salsa and the beverages.
