Everytime I come to El Paso, I always end up swinging by to see what they have. This place is great for gifts for those of my loved ones who are from El Paso. On my most recent adventure, I had the chance to pick up some candles and linen spray. The names were super fun but the taglines really made me chuckle. Hope to see this shop exist for many more years. Everything is priced very well for the most part and the team here is always friendly. From the childhood days of exploring the WB Store and Discovery Channel store (yes I'm showing my age), teenage years working at Abercrombie and Hollister, to my 20s buying every damn 1MX shirt at Express for the clubs and bars, this mall was a staple. Situated smack dab in the center of El Paso off of I10, it has still held its ground in the dystopian closures of malls and when the grand structures of what once held down America are becoming few and in-between. This mall is still running strong and I have to say that free parking at this mall is such a blessing. It's a tad surreal how you get used to paying for parking to shop in other cities, so it's refreshing lol. Yes some stores might not be ideal and someone is bound to offer you a "free sample" in a kiosk, but it's a fun place to experience time to time.

EP Finest is located downtown right across from San Jacinto (not Anson 11 side). It is a very small brick and mortar place that houses pieces / collections from over 30 different El Paso artists. One of which we met at our annual trip to the El Paso Comic-Con. She had a lot of art on display, and it was very well done. However, it's Comic-Con, so a lot (not us) were in Cosplay, including the artist. Sue was dressed as Nadja, from What We Do In The Shadows, which happens to be one of our Top 5 shows of all time. And not only was she dressed as Nadja, but she had a very well done portrait of Nadjas husband, Lazlo Cravensworth. That happens to be my favorite of the entire show. A must have for my office / nonsense room in my house. She offered a great deal, where you could purchase 3 "prints" (so printed versions of her original works), for $45. So, I bought Lazlo, Dwight/Angela/Moes, and a Sailor Moon one. We came to EP Finest to pick up the prints id purchased. Nice little store. Nice local art. Worth checking out for sure.

Cinema, fun restaurants, nice stores, cute toddler play area, water splash area for the hot summers, plenty of food options in its food court, huge class six, different barber shops, bank etc etc. This may sound corny but I have known many people who dislike the idea of visiting Fort Bliss but Freedom Crossing definitely makes makes it better. You can come here without a vehicle, experience it and have fun. Areas like this make military members feel like command actually cares for soldiers and their families.

Make sure you stay posted with all the activities that occur around Freedom Crossing. They have so much going on just about each weekend. There's also a playground for the kids!! But if you go on Saturday, its $10 and Sunday everything is $6. Monday is $4 and Tuesday is $2. Wed is $1. All food items are 50%off. I bought a brand new throw (Target brand) for $6. This was a great deal! What did I do with it?? I made curtains. The material and yardage would have been double. So go to Black Friday to find a deal, upcycle, and have fun!

The price is different everyday. I'm thinking they might have better items whenever the price is higher. Everything was a dollar the day I went. I found a few new items. I got: a sealed Elton John CD (CDs are old school I know! Lol), sealed plastic cups, coasters with dogs on them, thank you cards, a couple of small toys for my son, carpet cleaner and a few other misc. items. I spent $8 total so not bad. If you're expecting a spotless, clean place, this isn't it. The tables they have the stuff on top of are icky. The floors are also gross. The good thing is that they offer hand sanitizer and gloves to the customers. You get a plastic bag to put your items in. After looking around you get in line and pay. They're open everyday except for Thursdays. Thursdays are for restocking the place. I'll go back soon! You never know what you'll find!
