We came here on with the Gate 1 group on a Wednesday night in November. It was the late show, 9:30, and we were the ONLY people there. I don't know if that means it was the off season or they closed it for us, but being the only audience of 15-19 people felt like the royal treatment. Our ticket included 2 drinks. We were instructed not to take pictures or videos DURING the performance, but rather afterward, during the curtain calls. We had eaten at Mt Olivo earlier so we did not eat, just had drinks. They were so good about explaining what each piece meant. We enjoyed the excerpts from Bizet's Carmen, the group pieces, music, and the solos. The artwork was beautiful too! I did not use the restroom so I can't speak to how they were. They are also very savvy; they sell fans, castanets, and other knick knacks for people who fall in love with flamenco music! Such a powerful performance by this group. This was the first time seeing a Flamenco performance live so I can't really compare this to anything. The venue at El Patio Sevillano is small and intimate, perhaps it seats no more than 200 seats. Which is perfect because there isn't a bad seat in the house!! We also ordered Spanish bier and vino, prior to the show starting, they'll come to your seat. Flamenco, from what I understand, was born from a marginalized group in Andalusia, called the Gitanos. From the southern region of Spain, Flamenco came about in the late 1800s. I can see that - some of the best music and art has been spurned by angst. I didn't realize that wailing is a big part of this soulful performance, along with the dancing, use of hand clappers and using the right shoes for tapping and stomping the floor. I highly recommend coming here for this performance, you won't be disappointed. And we're all trying to keep our gluteus Maximus tight - perhaps this would be a great hobby to take up, to stay in great shape.. read more

We attended for a Flamenco show, without dinner included, just drinks. We were seated right up front, but honestly there didn't appear to be a bad seat in the house. The staff was super friendly, walking around socializing, providing anticipation excitement vibes while we waited for the show to begin. The red house wine, was one of the best glasses of wine we had in Spain, such bold flavor! I wish I could have brought a bottle home. The show was amazing. The small venue created an intimate feel-the variety in the show was excellent from dancing to guitar to singing there was something for everyone to become engrossed in. It was nice they also ask you to refrain from taking photo/video, because then the whole audience was immersed in the moment. They did provide a specific dance at the end for everyone to get their memories in with photos/video, which was also a surprising treat! I don't have other Flamenco to compare this to admittedly, but this experience was very thrilling! read more

El Patio Sevillano is the location of one of Seville's popular Flamenco shows. It is also a restaurant, so one can enjoy a traditional Andalusian dinner before the show. This was our most interesting meal yet in Spain. It began with Sangria and some tapas. The soup course was Gazpacho. The Andalusian style of the classic Spanish chilled soup was a bit different than I've had in North America. It was entirely pureed. No chopped vegetables floating in it and a bit less spicy. But very good! The main was Rabo de Toro, or Bull Tail Stew. Bull was quite similar to beef, or to Oxtail Stew. You could tell it was from the tail by the shape of the meat. Flan for dessert. Again, a bit different from Mexican flan. The main event was the Flamenco show following dinner. Customers move from the dining room to the theatre. (You can also attend the show without having dinner.) The dancers provided a good overview of the Flamenco style indigenous to Andalusia. Colorful costumes, clicking heels, swirling skits, flashing fans and all. There was even a flamenco interpretation of the Carmen story. Wine or other beverages were available with the show. There are two dinner and show seatings each evening. We were here as part of the Globus The Best of Spain tour. read more

Waiter was rude. He seemed to be the floor leader, since he was directing other waiters as well as taking drink orders. The show seemed good but I wasn't in the mood after the rude encounter. Never again at this place. read more

Great show. Dancers were awesome and a fun experience. Loved the Spanish guitar and girls dresses. Definitely worth it!

How wrong was I. Semi hesitantly got tickets for the show here when we were wandering by and came upon it haphazardly while heading to the Plaza de Toros. The lady said they were €38 but only 30 if bought ahead of time. One drink included. 90 minutes. 2 shows a night, pick your time. So we did. Don't know why I expected a rote, washed down show for the hordes of tourists that come here, but I did. As soon as the first dance started I realized it was going to be good. As dance after dance continued, I realized it actually was very damn bloody good. I got into it. I shouted praise - along with the enthusiastic crowd of Chinese tourists. Ole. OLE!!! By the end of the show I might have been ready to proposition all the women and maybe even one of the guys. So sexy and engrossing and well danced was it. They all looked stupendous up there. Too bad no photos or videos allowed. Although plenty of people were doing it, only yours truly got caught. I'm gathering from another review that the material is always changing and original, so maybe that's why. Nonetheless , check out a tidbit I posted. If you're ever in town, just do it. read more

I've been told that this is the best Flamenco show in Sevilla. The live music is excellent, but the recorded music is less than it might be. There's a substantial amount of dependency on the "Carmen" opera connection to Sevilla. The dancers are enthusiastic and put on a good show. The show and a drink combination is priced reasonably, but the show with tapas or dinner prices are excessive. read more

The flamenco show was pretty good, but I wasn't so thrilled with the dancing flamenco to the opera Carmen. The tapas were really the worst tapas I've had in all of Spain, no, the world. I've has tapas in Philadelphia and Texas that were way better. I could probably drive nails into my walls back home with their tortilla Española alone. I guess the bread wrapped in plastic should have been a sign. I ate better on the plane to Spain. The dancing was exciting, but the ticket price including the terrible tapas was excessive. Luckily we were able to go somewhere else after to eat great food at a fraction of the price. If it had not been for the actual show I would have walked out. read more
