    Seriously?!

So upsetting. I ordered the new family 8 piece dinner with mixed chicken and received the 8 pieces, although they literally counted 1/4 of a chicken leg as one piece. 5 out of the 8 pieces were skimpy pieces of chicken! I have a family to feed and this was clearly not what I paid for. I can't stand when business get ridiculously skimpy with you. I didn't realize how skimpy the pieces were until I got home. (Do not recommend this location. I have been trying to contact a manager but phone keeps giving me "user busy signal" ???) Also when I pulled up, 3 of the workers were outside hanging out with a visitor near his parked car. It seems there's no manager on site because I don't know how this is permitted? They all walked in as a pulled up to the drive through and one proceeded to take my order so I know they were on the clock. Very disappointed in my experience here.

Hubby had to clean the table as there was not one clean table in this place and it was just all around dirty! Pictures below The quesadillas were cold! We ordered two and they were both cold. Bummed as we sold Our Daughter how delish they were. My Double Chicken Avocado bowl that advertises its made with spinach ... it was made with lettuce with 4 pieces of spinach. The chicken was so salty my lips feel weird snd it was so dry I literally could not eat it. My husband said "this has to be yesterday chicken" I told the manager and he just smiled the whole time, no apology, no can I make this right? Nothing. When I turned around he and an employee were laughing. Worst experience in the place.

Last night my husband wanted to come here for dinner since he's tired of the old same thing . Besides, he wanted those Tapatio French Fries . We ordered our food and the cashier said he didn't have fries. He looked on his register and didn't see them. I mentioned Tapatio Fries and found it. No biggie. Waited for our food, and 10 minutes later a young lady comes up to tell him, no fries. We thought they ran out. Sad face, but then she tells us they don't carry them anymore. Whaaat? We weren't hete all that long ago and now no tasty fries? Ugh! So, he didn't want to go elsewhere since he was hungry so we took.his meal with Mac and cheese and corn as the sides. Not the same, sadly. Now, overall I might rate this place 3 because of no fries BUT while eating his Mac and Cheese he said it had a metallic taste. Ten minutes after we left he had a very sour stomach. We stopped coming to El Pollo Loco years ago when they stopped serving French fries and came back not long ago when they had Tapatio fries. Highly doubtful we'll be back. I'd give them a zero but the lowest I can give is a 1 star.

The service was the best I've had in any fast food chain since I've been living in Arizona. The chicken avocado burrito was absolutely outstanding, way better than my dinner at Lonestar last night, I would much rather come to the crazy chicken over Lonestar steakhouse any day of the week! I will definitely be back next year.

You order at the counter and the food comes out to the table. You can tell this place is family owned. The owners, whom I assumed were there tonight, were lovely people. While we waited, the woman who took our order brought out a basket of chips with refried beans and fresco queso on top with a side of salsa. Woah! What? Epic. But wait! A few minutes later, a precious girl with the most warm inviting, and beautiful smile came out with 2 warm, homemade corn tortillas, with salsa and cheese for us. These were just complimentary extras we didn't expect at all. Soo good. The restaurant is a humble place. Cute, clean, inviting and roomy. There is an inside seating area and an outdoor section. Someone was grilling meat out front. I think, the owner. I ordered a chili relleno combo. It comes with rice, beans, tortillas, and a drink. Hubs ordered two carne asada tacos, and a carne asada sope. I didn't try anything my husband ordered. ( I was laser focused on my meal lol) But it looked really good. He said, you can tell, they make their food with love. Yes, yes, yes, you can. My dish, was the best chili relleno I have had the entire 5 yrs I have been living in AZ. And the beans were phenomenal. Honestly, I prefer eating at places like this. We came for an impromptu date night. I can say it was one of the best meals and date nights I've had in a while. Thank you. I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. All in all definitely stop by to try the suadero as for as the other two I'd would probably give them a second try.

We ordered chips and Gaucamole and were given something else instead. When my husband asked about it the server said we were given the wrong thing but we said it was fine and we would just keep it. We ordered food, my husband a breakfast burrito and me the chilaquiles. I had asked the server which sauce he would recommend as they offered three, and he had said the red was spicy so I chose it as I love spicy foods. It took 35 minutes for our food to come out. Once it came, my chilaquiles had green sauce on them, I stated that I had ordered red sauce and the server picked up the plate to take it back and got a little attitude with me and said I'm pretty sure you said green but ok. I then told him I'd keep it if it was an issue but he continued to walk away with the plate. He came back shortly after with red sauce and I thanked him. However, I was disappointed with my meal because I had also ordered my eggs over medium (cooked whites/runny yokes) and they were basically hard boiled with cooked yokes. The red sauce also was not even spicy but lacked any flavor at all honestly. So I was pretty disappointed. As soon as we left after eating and paying my stomach felt off, I got sick when I got home and stayed sick all night. I was fine before coming here and hadn't eaten anything else that day so I know it was from eating here. Needless to say we won't be going back here. They weren't super busy so we got seated immediately. Our server David was very polite and attentive. He checked in frequently and helped explain some menu items for us. Shame he wasn't also on the menu because he looks like a snack. We started with the Empanadas with Chorizo, Potato, and Cheese. The appetizer portion comes with 5. These were very good, the dough tasted fresh like they were made to order. For our main entree we shared the Alebrije Parrillada for two. This gave us a good sampling of multiple meats and sides. Everything comes served in a hot molcajete. My favorite meats were the chorizo and the shrimp. My favorite bite overall was the toasted Oaxacan cheese. So good - I could've eaten an entire plate of just that. The rice and beans were decent, however the beans could have benefited from a little more salt. You can choose either flour or corn tortillas. My only qualm would be that there were some temperature inconsistencies among the various components. Some were borderline room temperature, like they had been cooked first; others were piping hot. Overall taste was great though. Will I return? Absolutely yes. If you're craving home-cooked style Mexican food that doesn't leave you feeling super heavy - this is the spot to try.

So many onions, I could barely make out what was in my tacos...LOL! After getting rid of some of them, I dug in.
