We stopped by here when we went to Lake Worth for their Street Painting Festival (which is highly recommended if you've never experienced it). It's actually a little out of the way but not more than a 10 min walk from the city hall. We won't have come if not for the recommendation of my cousin, who's from Guatemala. If she says it's authentic and good, it must be. Lacking point of reference for authenticity, I can only praise about how delicious and fresh everything is. The waitress didn't speak much English, but the menu is bilingual and the owner came and helped with our ordering. The Hen Stew was delicious, and the Costilla Adobada (marinated ribs) is tender and meaty, they definitely beat out most BBQ places in S Florida. The seafood soup has a whole crab in it, along with fish, squid, mussels, shrimp and more. Even the tortilla and black beans are well made. I also tried the nance juice for the first time. A little sweet and reminiscent of lychee and pineapple. The food was so delicious we almost decided to come back for dinner.

Authentic Guatemalan food!! I can honestly say that this is the BEST Latin food I've had in Florida thus far when considering service, price, and flavor. SERVICE: -warmly greeted -constantly checked on - recommendations made by our server Lily - when checking out, we were asked about our experience and further recommendations were made for next time - told us about upcoming events PRICE: -unbeatable prices - we had a table of food for under $100 FLAVOR: - authentic seasonings and preparation - food was served hot and fresh - condiments complimented the dishes - so delicious Overall: This is my new favorite! I highly recommend El Pueblo Capin

    Delicious cappuccino, must try!

I am amazed at how authentic and cultural this place is. The food is delicious, I've tried just about everything here and I am always satisfied. The typical Chapin (Guatemalan) breakfast with a coffee/cappuccino is delicious. This is a must try place for everyone interested in trying new foods or anyone trying to remember mom's Guatemalan cooking. Ps. The service was phenomenal, I was treated as if I was at my own home. Linda and Gladys were very nice and attentive.

The service was great. Friendly. The food was sickening. I ordered a tamale and nance juice. The tamal looked like vomit and i immediately lost appetite. It may have been soaking in hot water overnight.

Good liked chicken with some awesome sauce!!

I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting much from this place. I simply stopped because my son wanted some rice and beans. Quite truly, I've never had Guatemalan food so I wasn't even sure if I could get rice and beans, but it seemed like the only possibility. Not only did they have it, but they had so much more. I asked for a grilled chicken breast for the little one, and it had some kind of sauce (I freaked out because I thought it was spicy) and it turned out to be something buttery that was amazing. They had rice and beans with it, and they asked if we needed tortillas, we didn't but the fact that they offered was really nice. I wasn't really hungry so I asked for a pork taco and a chicken one. I don't know which one was better, because they were both truly bombastic!! They also put a green sauce which seems very intimidating, but I decided to give it a go. At first I did with much trepidation, but once I tried a smidgen of it, I was hooked. I regretted not having said yes to those tortillas, because I would have drenched them with the green sauce ALONE!! The staff was very nice, and decor was surprisingly nice too. The only down side was they don't let you tip on your credit card, so I was super embarrassed when I couldn't add and didn't have cash. I will definitely be back, and hook the girl up!!

Serving up Guatemalan dishes, located in the Guatemalan neighborhood of Lake Worth, FL. Very clean Restaurant, nicely decorated with a festive atmosphere. Food is fresh and you get plenty of it. Food is very good, flavorful and just right on the spice. Low noise and peaceful meal and the place was crowded. My Love had the tostadas with chicken, carrots, beets and cheese. I had the Chicken fajitas. Both were excellent dishes. We definitely will be back.

As a Guatemalan-American, I can definitely say that the food served here is authentic and presented in the typical Guatemalan fashion. I recommend first-timers to order the chicken enchiladas. They're delicious. The place has no menus, so be sure to ask the waiter what they offer and any additional questions you may have. They're open early Monday through Friday from 5AM-9PM and it's a neat little place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There's no reason not to try!

They were so friendly, welcoming and down to earth that made the whole experience of walking around downtown so much more enjoyable. I ended up ordering the Italian - they made it perfectly! I hate when I order sandwiches and they're too dry. This is a legit sandwich spot that uses fresh ingredients. My bf got the tuna and he ate the whole thing, where he usually never finishes his food. An Italian sandwich is only as good as the bread, and unfortunately neither of us could enjoy ours. My husband ordered the same sandwich and felt exactly the same way. I expected fresh ingredients and much better quality. It honestly tasted like the bread had been sitting around for days. After a few bites, we gave up because it just wasn't enjoyable. I decided to try a new local spot instead of my usual go-to, and I definitely regret it. Deluca's Italian Kitchen has consistently delivered fresh, delicious sandwiches and has never disappointed me. Not sure why I decided to switch things up this time. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from this restaurant again.

There were so many good choices on the menu that intrigued me (including the steak bomb, buff chic, and italian) but OF COURSE I had to try their beef carpaccio sub... it is truly life changing. Fresh crusty baguette, delicious tasty beef carpaccio, fried onion strings with balsamic??? it is just outstanding. In my opinion, it is worth it to get the boxed lunch. IT came with a ginger lemonade, fresh kettle chips, and a delicious chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. omg. and of course a pickle too. This place is just next level. I cant wait to try the shop in the Gables and to also try some different sandwiches on the menu. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting. It was mediocre at best and honestly felt more on par with something you'd get at Olive Garden than at a restaurant with this kind of vibe and price point. On top of that, the service was quite slow, which made the overall experience feel even more underwhelming. If you're going for drinks, music, and ambiance, it may be worth a visit. But if you're expecting the food and service to match the atmosphere, it falls short.

However, I don't think it's ideal for catching up with friends because the music (which selection -wise was excellent) could get quite loud. We didn't order any apps, so I can't speak on those. I did enjoy my cocktail (a tequila and mezcal concoction ) but forgot the name. I split the tamarind short ribs and the OTC Caesar salad with a friend. I thought both choices were good, but did not taste the tamarind flavor at all and the short ribs portion was small for the price. The salad had a kick because of the scotch bonnets and tear drop peppers, and I loved the use of bread fruit for croutons; it was an interesting spin on a Caesar salad. There is a Caribbean influence in the entire menu, a nod to the owner's origins. We finished with the carrot cake which was delicious and big enough to split between our group of three. As for service , I give them 5 stars. Very warm and attentive staff who checked on us often. I would come back here to enjoy another evening :)
