(We fed five for less than €100 - note: no appetizers or alcohol and just one dessert) Vegan options at the time of this review: Quinoa and veggie soup Seasonal salad Veggie tartar (veggies, lime, ginger, avacado) Hummus and pita Moroccan-style tabouleh Rissoto w/zucchini Veggie (fried) spring rolls w/orange sauce Thai-style noodles and veggies And... The veggie burger (with carrot sauce) We ordered a single order of bread to start (€1) and also got two little shots of spiced garbanzo soup with it. We heard the server make sure it was vegan before she brought it. Tasty and a warm welcome on a cold day. I'd order a whole bowl of it if I saw it on the menu. Our server recommended the rissoto - an excellent choice. It's made with wheat and a creamy sauce, with zucchini and carrots mixed in. Portion size was perfect. If you can't tell in the photo - it's a pretty thick cylinder! Overall - impressed with the food quality and the service. Vegans rejoice. If you're eating with non-vegans - everyone will be happy!

I had a fabulous experience at La Mariseca. I was at a loss of where to go for lunch in Salamanca,…read moreand when I passed this place the waiter pointed out the "Menú del día" to me. For €13 and following the waiter's recommendations, I had a beer, a quite sizeable appetizer of black rice with cuttlefish (I would say meal-sized), an entrée of "Tostón", fried suckling pig served with tast potatoes, and finally, a large portion of lemon bar with fresh fruit to garnish. Service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend!!
