Food was amazing, service was great, I had the Pozole which comes with an avocado and 3 rolled taquitos de papa and also wanted to try the carnitas tacos ... definitely worth trying again. Totally recommend

The food is authentic and fresh and so delicious! The service is above and beyond, and the ambiance is friendly with good music. This was our first time at Sabroso, but it is definitely not our last.

Stopped at this joint on the way home to LA for some menudo for the hangover and it didn't disappoint. Broth was delicious and had plenty of tripe. Gordita de carnitas was fire as well. Special shout out to their tacos de Cabeza- they tasted like honest to goodness Texas Barbacoa. They were delicious.

Authentic homemade Mexican food! When you walk in it brings Mexico to your soul! You seat yourself and order at the register. They have your traditional Mexican food including Posole and Menudo. The tortillas are homemade and fresh! Before your meal they bring you homemade fideo soup! So much flavor in all of there food! Everything is fresh and made with love! Try it out if your in Orem!

I had the Alambre. It was so flavorful! The restaurant was small and cute. They even had some goods from Mexico that you could purchase. The alambre and a drink ended up being $19. That was more pricey than I expected. But the food tasted great.

    Gordita with carnitas.

O.M.G! This was the happiest disappointment! Disappointment because I intended to go to Oteo on recommendation of a friend, but they were closed today. But I had my heart set on Mexican food. I've had some really bland experiences with Mexican food lately, so I was hesitant to try a new place. El Sabroso had excellent reviews, though, so I decided to give it a try. I had the sope with al pastor, a gordita with carnitas, and a side of rice and beans. They brought out complimentary fideo! There were three sauces to choose from, described as mild (the light green), hot (yellowish green), and really hot (red). They were fantastic! It was between lunch and dinner, so I was the only diner, but the service was excellent. He kindly answered all of my questions. Apparently all of the dishes are his grandmother's recipes. They are from central Mexico (I can't remember which state). This is seriously the best Mexican food I've had in a restaurant. It definitely was sabroso!

$25 bucks for one order of mediocre Red Tacos and an horchata. Not sure when they hiked their prices but not worth the cost.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Alejandra in particular was amazing -- she made us feel right at home and took great care of us. The restaurant itself is spotless. You'd swear it was brand new. The booths are comfortable, the custom chairs are a nice touch, and it's clear the owners take real pride in the place. Everything feels fresh, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The salsa and chips were on point -- perfectly seasoned and addictive. I tried pozole for the first time, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The broth was rich and flavorful, the pork was tender, and the hominy was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered her go-to Enchiladas Suizas and said they were very good -- she was impressed. I went with the Chile Verde Burrito and a beef taco. Both were tasty, well-seasoned, and satisfying. I left feeling full and happy. This is a proper, quality Mexican restaurant with great staff and amazing food. Places like this set the bar high -- other restaurants should definitely take notes! We'll be back soon.

The atmosphere and menu feel true to the culture, and it's refreshing to find a place that doesn't overly Americanize the cuisine. Many of the dishes capture that homemade, authentic quality that fans of traditional Mexican food will appreciate. That said, the experience wasn't perfect. The wait time was quite long, even when the restaurant didn't appear extremely busy, which made the visit feel a bit drawn out. Additionally, while the food was flavorful and authentic, some of the dishes came out a bit on the dry side. Another consideration is the price. While the quality and authenticity are good, the prices are noticeably high compared to other Mexican restaurants offering similar dishes. Overall, Maria Bonita is a solid choice if you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and don't mind paying a premium. With a few improvements to service speed and food moisture/texture, it could easily be a five-star experience.

The service was fast and attentive, the food came out quick, and then portions were large. I typically get combination plates when I go to Mexican food places so I can try a couple different things and I LOVED the beef tamale that was in my combination. The restaurant is smaller so it did get quite loud, but that's to be expected. The chips and salsa were yummy and we left with quite a bit of leftovers. I would go again and make sure to reserve ahead a time or do take out :)

Our service was great, we were seated immediately and our server was kind. She had her hands full being the only one on shift at the end of the night but did it gracefully. We loved the chips and salsa and liked our meals. Mine was huge! I was barely able to make a dent and had to take it home. The fry was good on the pepper and it was stuffed with cheese and meat. I got the onion ball which wasn't much to call home about, neither was the spicy rice. I wish I tried the beans instead. My husband was pleased with his dish and was able to finish it. We also shared the strawberry and regular horchata and they were delicious! We will definitely be back to try more dishes!

My last review could all be wrapped up when I asked for a Mexican hot sauce and they brought Tabasco. Everything was wrong. While the food is still geared to the local palate. I would not exclude coming back. They no longer have beer. That's important when dining out for me, but doesn't seem to hurt things here.

The space is so cute. Clean, simple, pretty, and there is an upstairs private area that is such a vibe. Now the food. Wow. Queso fundido was insane.
