Stopped by here for a late lunch. Usually I research my dining options but this time we went in blind (we were hungry and McCormick is a little short on choice). What a happy choice though. We were able to order from the lunch specials and everything was delicious. Mom went the taco and burritos and I had a chile relleno and a beef quesadilla. I usually don't appreciate most restaurants take on a chile relleno but this one was so good! I would drive the fifty miles from where I live to have it again. The service here was great, the interior of the former Huddle House (?) has been refitted and decorated in cute modern decor. Check it out if you are in the area. read more

The food here is so good. The chicken quesadillas are amazing. And they definitely don't skimp on the meat. Service is super fast too. It's about 25 minutes away but we now drive right past the Mexican restaurant in town to come here. read more

Fabulous! Fast service, great food and good prices! It's the trifecta! This was my third visit and the only food I can review are the Sombrero fajitas and the Texas rice. We both have repeated our orders all three times. The Texas rice is grilled chicken, shirmp and steak and over rice with fajita vegetables topped with queso. So good! The Sombrero fajitas have grilled chicken, shrimp, steak, pork and Mexican sausage with the fajita vegetables and the usual fajita accompaniments. Last week, I had the chimichangas with shredded beef. This week, I had the taco salad. I have one word... DELISH! I am so happy to find this restaurant! Bonus? No cilantro! Even the heat is tolerable. It's heat but not hot and does not linger. Way to go El Sombrero! We WILL be back! read more

Great food and fast. I usually get take out and if its not at peak lunch hour on Friday, it takes only 3-4 minutes. Make sure to stop by at the Salsa bar and get a few of the other types of Salsa or Pico. I tell my wife I have to go shopping at the local market but in reality, its to get lunch. They also have great dinners and outside seating. Good selection of top shelf booze too. read more

Ate here while visiting the area, we ate outside and the vibe was fun with college football on tv. Food and drinks were really good. I had TX fajitas and my wife had chicken poblano. They even had a salsa bar where you could select your own salsa to accompany your food. Server was attentive and the restaurant was clean. We will go back. read more

AMAZING!! We drove over 30 minutes just to eat here because the reviews were so good....and they did not disappoint. The service alone was 5 stars Every few minutes or so a member of the wait staff was asking us if we needed anything. Our drinks were always full!! My jumbo Texan Margarita was super smooth and packed a punch!!! The food taste great and the portion sizes were so big! Then if that all wasn't enough.....they give you a FREE little dessert treat before they bring your ticket We will definitely be back! read more

On the last day of our family vacation on Lake Thurmond we all decided to check out this local Mexican restaurant. Upon entering , I thought I was walking into an old gas station, but was instantly surprised how festive looking the place was.There is outside dining which I usually gravitate towards, but it was a rather warm summer evening. All 6 of us enjoyed our meals, there was a great variety of food on the menu. Prices were very reasonable and service was terrific. We were pleasantly surprised when they half filled all of our Margarita glasses for free when we ordered a pitcher of Margaritas. But my favorite thing was , the complimentary cinnamon ' tortilla/churo' chips covered with whip cream and drizzled with rasberry. Check this place out. read more

David was our sever and man was he quick and attentive! He recommended the Trios Amigos plate and it was so delicious. It was so big I'm glad we shared it. The shrimp and chicken were my favorite and my husband loved the beef so it was just right for us. The onions were cooked perfectly. Margaritas were excellent too! Very friendly staff, and attentative. I came in here with my in-laws. Food was really good. Healthy portions. My mother in-law had a margarita and although it was pretty good margarita, you couldn't taste the alcohol... No buzz there! Highly recommend though. Cute little spot with authentic Mexican music.
