San Marcos Country Corner Store is supposed to be a quick stop -- you know, grab a Coke, some tortillas, maybe a jar of mayo -- in and out in five minutes tops. But instead, I was stuck waiting over 35 minutes just to get my items. Ridiculous. The staff? Rude, careless, and clearly miserable. That skinny girl and the one with the nasty attitude both looked like they hated being there -- and it shows. There's zero customer service, no urgency, no respect. If they don't want to work, then stay home. Simple as that. This store used to be a quick, easy stop. Now it's a total waste of time. They have these old school cafeteria tables that are bolted into the ground. So do you sit down and order with a waitress? There's a counter on the right side...do they seat you? On the wall, they have all the plates you can choose from...with no price. Why? Are we doing a guessing game? Can you imagine going to a place like McDonalds...and they have no prices next to their burgers? Why? So you take a guess on the price on what you want to order....the food "looks" good. But they give it to you on these old school cafeteria plates. Come on guys...do some investments on new cutlery and plates. If you are dining in, after them giving you your plate, you seat yourself and then a waitress comes by and asks you what you want to drink. It feels like chaos in there. On top of everything...they have a counter to the back where you can order barbacoa, chicharrones, or carnitas by the pound...but it's a mess because those customers blend in with everyone else.
