Then instead of apologizing he said " I'm doing my best to serve everyone" so, what? Then ask your management for help. The salmon was tasteless and bit dry, the rice was overcooked and bland. Some customers walk in and out without mask. I don't think the staff notice since they were busy. Please make sure you pay more attention to this. Must be the worst restaurant experience by far. No host upon entering should have been our first clue. No host, no bus boy, just one server working the entire area. No manager in sight. We could have easily walked out without paying if we weren't honest people. If this was my first visit here I would never return. What a disaster of a place!!! After years of not going we brought our family to dine here. We waited in the lobby area to be seated. 5 minutes passed by and phone is riinging nonstop. A waitress yells across saying someone will help us. Another 5 minutes pass. We've now been waiting 10 minutes. People are also waiting behind us. An employee comes to register with huge bags and rests them on counter. The customer behind us approaches her and starts speaking. I ask her if she can seat us and that we've waited over 10 mins. Took my partner and his parents to eat at El Torito for food and drinks. Had the family style fajitas and they were delicious and the sides were unlimited which included guacamole. We had the el Dueño margaritas. They were also excellent! Our server was Sherie and she was very friendly and attentive. Always making sure we had everything we needed. Later overheard they had a health inspection conducting at the time, so maybe that's why the kitchen halted all operations. As I entered there where to Hostess that where talking about who didn't show up for work tonight. I don't need to hear that. I just want to be seated. As I was seated,I was put on a table and under the table there was a lot of debris under the table,they where pieces of waffles. There Saturday brunch is served 10-2pm. I arrived at 6pm. So for about 4 hours No one cleaned around the table areas to be ready for dinner.It just wasn't around my table it was all around. I ordered Combo #5 with to Shredded Beef Tacos and 3/4 into the Tacos No beef and it wasn't Shredded,they where in chunks.A Quality issue. Management should be doing walk thru's and checking their stores and the line in the Kitchen,being rush ready at all times. Your store should like you just opened . Servers should clean as they go. If you're coming for bottomless mimosas, save your money. I feel like I had to beg for my second glass. It took asking 3 times over 30 minutes for water. It's not so much that the employees were rude or anything, it's that they've spread the tables into 3 different areas and its too much for them to cover with the amount of servers they have. It was not really busy, maybe 40% of what they've allocated to serve at one time. They do have swamp coolers to keep air moving so the heat isn't that bad. They aren't enforcing the mask rule. Most of the customers are walking around either without a mask, or worn around their chin. They've covered 1 of 2 of the handicap parking spots, but if you're rocking a wheelchair, I wouldn't recommend this place. It's not wheelchair friendly and has many steps. read more

However, after a very disappointing experience at El Torito - Northridge, I felt compelled to help future customers become aware of the managerial leadership they will encounter if they decide to eat at this location. My partner and I were enjoying our drinks and food happily served by our kind and lovely bartender Evaristo. Unfortunately, we had to move our seats because a middle-aged man who was a regular was targeting the young female waitresses with his inappropriate sexual comments. He created such an awkward environment, we had no choice but to move down the bar, far away from him. After we moved, we continued to enjoy the happy hour and the the delicious happy hour chicken taquitos! 10/10!! Mango and strawberry margaritas are very very tasty, but I would steer away from the melon margarita since it tasted like soap. Not the bartendars fault!! Its just the El Torito recipe! Evaristo was kind enough to not charge me for it and my partner and I were beyond grateful for his kindness and we smiled at each other for being served by a great bartendar! I wish this happy moment lasted enough but right behind my partner, another regular who sat next to the first pervert was clearly and obviously inappropriately staring at my lady. I let it go the first and the second time. But on the third time, I caught the disrespectful pervert. I stood up to him and said "what are you f***ing looking at?" His eyes full of embarrassment quickly force him to shrug his shoulders and he denied at doing anything at all. "Exactly!" I replied. The humiliation was all over his face and I thought we can return to peace and continue minding our own business but the nerve on this man called up the manager and complained about the uncomfortable confrontation he just faced. When the manager approached me and I asked if there was a problem...she had no interest hearing my side and the pervert spoke over me. She stared only into my eyes and said if both parties do not respect the restaurant, then she will ask both parties to leave. As a woman and a woman in leadership, it was disappointing how the manager chooses to please her regular male customers rather than stand up against discrimination. The manager is unaware of holding professional boundaries when she first greeted these male customers with a hug and kisses on the cheek. Its unfortunate that El Torito condones discriminatory behavior against customers and staff members by the managerial leadership that exists there. Future customers, watch out for perverts at the bar at this location. We all know they exist everywhere, but here is where they are well taken care of. read more

Food was amazing, filled with bursts of flavor and good portions! Obviously, not the place to go for truly authentic food but for a franchise it comes pretty close! Marta could not have been a better waiter. I just wish they brought out the 2nd one faster.. I felt pretty full by the time the 2nd round came haha.
