I cannot express how thankful I am for Mathnasium…read more I am a college student who struggled all of my life with mathematics and I made my first A+ in Business Calculus with the team's help. The staff is amazing, encouraging, and very thorough in explaining concepts. I regained my academic confidence that I had nearly lost as a Sophomore in College, and I can't thank Mrs. Angie and her staff enough for supporting me through my course. Not to mention, this was a fast paced (5 week) crash course at LSU and I had little to no algebra skills and had forgotten it altogether. Angie helped me go back and refine my algebra skills in no time. I didn't expect to pass this course, and would've never believed I would with flying colors! Thank you Mathnasium for all that you did for me! It means the world to me and is helping me long-term with my academic performance. I will miss you.

Is your child having difficulties in math or just need a little extra help? My daughter was a…read moreproduct of Montessori education (where they don't do any testing or give any quantifiable information on how she was truly doing in math) and was entering a gifted & talented program at the district public school. Unfortunately, we had no idea where she really was at in math and if she'd be able to keep up with the upcoming math curriculum. So I brought her to Mathnasium for an assessment. They did the assessment for free, then they presented some pricing packages to us to get her registered for. It's expensive, so prepare to spend some money! My husband & I chose to pay monthly, instead of a 6-month contract. The program was great for the first full month we did it, then she felt like she was doing things over and over again and she (a 7-year old) noticed that she wasn't advancing or being challenged enough. We addressed it with one of the tutors and kept her in for another couple of weeks. Once we figured that the time she had there was enough, we pulled her out and we'd like to think that what she was taught there helped her in her stronger math skills now. My husband's also very strong in math and helps her a lot. Thankfully, she's a quick learner and knows how to work independently. We are glad we brought her here and glad when we decided to take her out.

Hands down, "The Co-op" is the BEST early learning center in Baton Rouge!…read more The teachers are amazing. They build loving relationships with each child and get to know all the children on an individual level. The turn over rate is low so you also get the chance to build a relationship with the ones taking care of your children all day. Whether it's teething, napping, or potty training, the teachers are great at collaborating with parents so that each child is guided through each new challenge. There's a beautiful balance of free play and intentional activities, so children learn through doing, imagining, and collaborating. As a pediatric occupational therapist, I especially appreciate how this program supports all areas of development--fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, social-emotional growth, and problem-solving--through meaningful, play-based experiences. It's the kind of learning that feels natural and joyful, yet is building a strong foundation for lifelong skills. It's not just a childcare program--it's a community. There are art shows, family work days, parents night out at Radio Bar, and field trips to strawberry patches (just to name a few). Through these experiences our family has built relationships with other families. The Co-op is where I formed my own tribe of moms who have become like family. We support each other and have watched each other's children grow. This is truly a magical place.

We love the Reggio Philosophy inclusion and that they provide plenty of outside exploration. Our youngest recently got glasses but we noticed and discussed this with her teacher at coop before visiting the pediatrician. Her Teacher mentioned she was noticing some of the same eye issues we noticed and that was super helpful to know we were not just hovering worrisome parents. They have been such a great support to help her transition to wearing and getting used to them. All the staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. I credit so much of our children's independence and empathy to coop!
