I was confused if I could even schedule an appointment by the way she qas speaking. Which I can, in 10 days.... Because she was like this and the given time frame to replace a light bulb, I just excused myself, hung up and went on to the next Yelp candidate. Made an appointment, same week, no problem. Additionally, the other guy is happy to use the pigtail piece I've already purchased for a light bulb. They are happy to use my unopened, packaged by Napa pigtail for my headlight. I had a flat and called Cody and said I needed to get my truck in ASAP but didn't get paid for a few days and he helped me out, we worked through a system. Got me in and out in one day!!!!! We have been taking our service vans over to Elder Auto for the better part of two years now. Out of the 10-12 times we have taken our vans over there for service, we have never had a bad experience. Elder Auto's staff is knowledgeable and very friendly and the waiting area of their shop is a perfect place to wait for your vehicle. The last time we brought our van into their shop we thought we had a bad washer fluid pump. As it turned out, it was just a bad connection and the gave the van back to us without charging anything. Awesome service. I have an older car that has some issues for sure and i took it in due to a "squeal" when I drove. They figured out the problem, and another problem, called me promptly, were totally honest about issues that needed to be fixed right away and those that can wait. The good: I've had generally good experiences with their repairs and pricing. The bad: 1) Their alignment guy will erroneously tell you any pull is due to road crown and there's nothing they can do. 2) Dropped off in the morning for fuel filter replacement per 75k factory service schedule and they called at closing time to say they won't do it as it's "not serviceable" (false). 3) They use Mobil 1 for synthetic which is measurably subpar. read more

Was referred by a client, went to have alignment and an oil change. Was told it would be done by 2! When arrived to pick up car was told would have to wait until 4. I picked up my vehicle and received a call from the owner saying oh you paid for service that we did not perform They sent someone to pick up my vehicle and drop a loaner my vehicle was returned within two hours and drove worse than it did prior to visiting the shop I took my vehicle back to El Dorado to tell them that the vehicle was driving worse than it did prior to them working on it! owner Ramon told me to get out of his shop he would not work on my vehicle because I gave him a poor review on yelp I took my vehicle to another shop they went to the alignments and they called to tell me that I had a broken ball joint on the right side of my vehicle I had it repaired and had my alignment done I cannot say enough about the new mechanic I have I will tell every person that I talk to about my experience with elder auto Was sent out on s broken ball joint! After holding for 6 minutes she answers the phone again like I was a new caller and asks if I can hold. I mention I've already been on hold. She rudely says "yeah I'm with a customer". Thanks, Elder Auto for not making me feel like I'm getting ripped off when I have my car serviced. Definitely a downside to being a female. Granted, when my husband and I have come in with our cars, Elder Auto finds about $400 worth of repairs that could be done. HOWEVER- they call you first and explain what is necessary and what could definitely wait. It comes across as very honest. They give you a time frame too like "ehh, this could probably wait another year- I wouldn't have it fixed right away." I like that they offer check-in deals and first time deals. REAL DEAL. Finally! Preface: Read my other yelp reviews. I don't mess around with bad service or crooks. I brought my car in for a tie rod end replacement. Note this is my first non-dealership experience since I purchased my car back in 2008. I'add) and it was right off I-25 so pretty easy to get to. Bonus I wasn't expecting was a couve found that some Denver area dealerships are complete garbage when it comes to service and honest pricing. My partner called ahead for an estimate and...brace yourselves...these guys broke it down to the penny instead of giving me a "general estimate". This is unheard of these days sadly. So I took my car in to a nice clean shop (with wifi I might rtesy ride offer to the lightrail if I needed it. I got my car back within four hours (FOUR HOURS!) and she drives like a dream. Nothing like being able to tell the work was done. The estimate was literally $200 less than my crappy dealership offered and the service was unexpected. Also, since i was a first time customer, they gave me the 10% off discount without asking which saved me even more money. No "you didn't mention the coupon" garbage here. Good work, warranty, and a business of their word. Ladies, there was 0% of the heres-a-dumb-woman-talk. You know, where men at dealerships, service centers, etc start calling you pet names, listing crap for you to fix even after you just replaced it (air filters, wiperblades, etc) and telling you stupid shit like we'll get your car cute again, etc. Good price, professional, and PEOPLE OF THEIR WORD. Took my 2004 VW Passat here because it had some time of vacuum leak. Took my car here because of the good reviews. Turned out my car had a mass air flow leak. The work was done well and in a timely manner. Reason I am giving only 2 star is because of the cost of the diagnosis. Most places don't charge for diagnosis if you decide to get your car repaired by them, although I still got charged $89 on top of all the repair. Next time I will make sure I don't pay extra for diagnosis since many shops wave this fee if work is performed by them. Still on the hunt for the perfect mechanic shop for my 3 vehicles.... if one such mechanic exists. read more

I am going to add this place to my will. Slip off the road in the most recent snow storm, bending and torquing my front axle. Vehicle is barely driveable. Flashing before me are lots of money to pay out, a week or two with the car in the shop, and picking up the cost of a rental. Went on Yelp and loved the review and rating of Elder Auto. Gave them a buzz, and they immediately agreed to look at the car. Fifteen minutes later, on a busy and snowy morning, my auto was up on the lift. I was presented with alternative repair options,which I greatly appreciated. They then offered a courtesy ride to my workplace. Two hours later, I received a call that my return courtesy ride was on its way. My car was ready; the charge was embarrassingly reasonable; and I was on my way. The next morning I received a follow-up call from a staff member to check on the status of my auto. Just can't say enough kind things about this place! My business is their's for life. Trustworthy and Professional!!!! I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received during my first visit to Elder Automotive. After some dealings with a few very sketchy shops and mechanics since moving to Denver, it was great to find a shop where integrity, quality repairs, and value are emphasized. I brought my Subaru due to an issue with fluid leaks from the CV boot, and a noisy belt. I'd been told by people at an oil change shop that the rack and pinion was also bad, which I related to Elder in making my appointment--not a good prospect as that is a very pricey repair and not easy to do on one's own--especially without a lift or high quality jack stands. So when I made my appointment with Elder and dropped the car off for a free estimate (yes, free, you heard right) I was expecting an $800-1000 repair bill. To my surprise however, I received a call back within 2 hours and was told that the CV boot and a tensioner pulley needed replaced, BUT that the rack and pinion was fine. It is unfortunate that one expects auto repair shops to do unnecessary repairs (see the Fox31 investigative report, and fraudulent repairs at multiple Meineke locations, which I also experienced with a brake job), so to have a shop come back and say something that I thought needed replaced was actually fine, well it speaks volumes to the honesty and integrity that has garnered Elder so many positive reviews on this and other places! At the end of the day the repair bill I had was less than half of what I was expecting, with the repairs completed the same day along with a courtesy ride to and from my home. I'll certainly be returning to the shop for routine maintenance and any future repairs my cars may need in the future. Elder is an A-1 shop that you can trust, and will provide great service, professionalism, and quality; I really couldn't recommend them more!! read more

Excellent experience from start to finish. Brought my vehicle in for an oil change, knowing I needed both pads replaced. They gave me a discount off the oil change and rotated my tires since it was needed. Brought my vehicle back in for front and rear pads and an alignment. I live close by, so the owner shuttled me back to my place and picked me up after the repair. Super nice guy! I've been telling all my friends that this is the place to trust for all your repairs. I last reviewed this place in 2015, and almost 4 years later, I'm still very pleased. I have a 21-year old car, so I have to stay on top of the maintenance. Elder does a good job of keeping me updated on what needs to be done to keep things in order, and I never feel like I'm getting the hard sell. I'm leaving this review because I was especially happy with recent service in which they worked on my car after it failed an emissions test. Not only did they fix it, but they took it down to the state emissions place and MADE SURE that it passed. That's good stuff. And deserves five stars. read more

I was quoted $1200 by another shop, and Elder got the work done for less than half of that because they don't try to charge you for things that don't need fixing. I've been there four times so far this summer because our car is old and full of problems. After a pretty rough experience with another garage in my area I decided to try Elder Auto. I'm am so glad I found them! I have a 97 Cabrio that I love. She is getting up there but with the right love nd attention she has plenty of years left in her. I believe Elde Auto is the right place for that attention!
