The teachers are incredibly loving and attentive -- they will hold and comfort the children, which made a huge difference for us as parents. One of the biggest highlights is the environment. The classrooms are much larger than other daycare centers we've seen and are kept spotlessly clean. Shoes must be changed upon entry, which already says a lot. The space is bright, open, and welcoming, with great natural light -- it truly feels like a place designed for children, not just a business. The food deserves special recognition. All meals are prepared fresh in their own kitchen, not catered or takeout. The food is thoughtfully prepared -- finely cut and very suitable for toddlers. There is always a balanced combination of vegetables, protein, rice, noodles, or pasta, and they even serve soup, which is rare and so comforting. My daughter is an extremely picky eater at home and mostly drinks milk, but at school, the teachers patiently encourage her, help feed her at first, and gently guide her toward eating independently. I was genuinely surprised when she started finishing an entire bowl by herself. The school also puts a lot of thought into arts and crafts. They also pay close attention to small but important things -- noticing dry skin and applying lotion after confirming with parents, adjusting clothing if it's too long or inconvenient, rolling up sleeves during meals, and cutting food into very small, safe pieces. The owner is extremely experienced and provides a free developmental assessment for students, which is incredibly valuable and something that would normally cost hundreds elsewhere. Communication is also outstanding -- messages are answered quickly, even in the evenings or on weekends. This level of responsiveness gives parents so much peace of mind. They regularly send photos, short videos, and daily updates about meals and progress, which helps parents feel very connected to their child's day. The school is also bilingual (English and Chinese), which has been wonderful for our family. The previous owners were amazing. The daycare was taken over by a woman named Alina and that was the worst thing that could've ever happened. When I first met her she very nice but that changed quickly. She started to tell me my son needed to be evaluated to get services at the time he was 2 years old. I went forward with getting him evaluated the doctors assured me nothing was wrong with him and he wasn't autistic. I came back with the documentation for her and she told me he needed to be evaluated again. I went back to the doctor they sent me to another facility that would give me services. we got him evaluated again luckily we got our biggest blessing a few months into him having the occupational therapist she told me i should move daycares everytime she arrived they would have him sleeping and the other kids would be playing. That was the first red flag. he was also the only African American kid at the school. So she told me pop up to see what they would do day I'm getting him early blah blah blah. After a few weeks of this Alina tells me he needs to get evaluated again the doctors aren't giving the right diagnosis. my therapist said remove him from that school I enrolled him into A2z on ocean parkway and my therapist started to see him there as well within one week my son started speaking. That was the scariest thing ever. that school was terrible and it's sad because I don't know what they could have been doing to him at this time for him to not feel safe. my son is so so smart if you ever speak to him you wouldn't think that someone ever went so hard to have my son labeled as autistic when he is actually a genius. Classrooms are bright, clean and child-oriented, and weekly schedules are posted for parents. I love the weekly art that gets sent home. Staff is responsive and warm, and the adults are familiar with each child. It's always a warm morning welcome. My work requires an early morning start, so early drop off times were a must- TLE meets this (very) important requirement. When looking into daycare, it was important that my child was stimulated as an infant, but also that this would continue throughout the years I plan on keeping him in the center. The curriculum presented for older children seems cognitively demanding and the way the entire center is run is worth the price I pay :)
