Two of my brothers have attended this school in different years. While there are sometimes…read moreshenanigans in the barracks (we are dealing with high school boys here lol), I really have only great things to say about the school and that is true of my brothers and my parents. Both boys are better for having gone to the school (not that they weren't great boys already). The school always looks great. Every teacher I've ever talked with from that school impressed me. Sports are encouraged and are a big part of the community aspect. The boys always look nice. The reviews and family weekends are always beautiful and well rehearsed. And all are always very polite to us when visiting. Of course all us other kids were irritated that my parents paid that much for high school for 2 of us 8 kids (ha ha), but after seeing those two go through the school, it's very tempting to think about sending my own boys there when I have them.

I would give them zero stars if I could. The school has failed to return numerous calls and emails…read moreand doesn't address my concerns. They nickle and dime you too and try to scam you out of $5000. We are suing them. They also have alcohol and vaping issues.

Missouri Military Academy - It can be tough, but the boys have a lot of fun too. Great experience and lifelong friendships.

I had a bad experience overall. Check in was at 7:00 because I signed up for the optional activity…read more"band." When I participated in this activity, all we did was walk around on a football field in the cold. The people were nice, thought. At least, except for this one Saxophone player who was attempting to tell me to "guide right", when he was 12 steps away. I do not have the ability to use my peripheral vision for that distance. That experience alone wants me to give this a 1 star experience. When I went to my next activity, "Theatre", I was greeted by this strangely active woman. Then, all we did was listen to a lecture about theatre and read from some paper that had some weird format. I believe she called it a "script". I have some mixed emotions about this, mostly confusion. Then, I was told to go to my next activity, called chemistry. There, we did do some interesting experiments, but afterwards, the instructor told us that we had to write about it. This is not what I signed up for. My next activity was called "Language Arts". Singing up for the class, I had assumed that I would learn how to create great works of art using only my voice. I had aspirations to become the next Bob Ross. Instead, all that we did was listen to the instructor tell us what nouns and pronouns are, and constantly tell us that some word wasn't a pronoun, it was some unpronounceable word which I had never before heard in my life. Then, we read this story about some talking coyote who makes horns for a talking bull. I believe the writer of this is on some sort of hallucinogenic drug. During this time, I was released to go eat lunch. The lunch line was just mass chaos, with no discernible pattern of movement for getting food. There was no line once in the kitchen. They had a large variety of salads and fruits, but those foods aren't really my style. The pizza there was in a rectangular shape, something which I had never seen before. The food was actually decent, considering the dietary restrictions the business is under. I did enjoy looking at the very interesting slide shows shown on the televisions. Then, the woman who was in charge of the place stood up and yelled at everyone to return to leave lunch. Seriously, just use bells. After this, I returned to Language Arts until I was released to go to my next activity. One thing I did find amazing was that the teacher had a clock on the wall that was perfectly in time. I mean not a second off. Next, I went to this class that was called "US History", however I am always being told that I am thinking of a different class. The instructor was a fairly nice guy, and somewhat humorous even. He does, upon occasion say that I am "Out of words". I do not fully understand what this means, and it appears to be some sort of inside joke. Finally, I was told to go to my final class, which consists of sitting around. There was a free food and beverage service there, though. It was limited, however. Finally, the only bell of the day rang, announcing I could go home. While I'm on the subject, there was no alarms or anything announcing movement from one activity to the other. Instead, we had to rely on simply looking at the clock. Apparently, they used to have these bell things that I experienced during the activity called "Academic Lab". They apparently rang at the end of each activity, but were removed this year due to reasons which no one can quite comprehend. Overall, the experience was not very good. It was always cold in every single classroom, and it's apparently that cold year round.
