On first meeting, Mike was a very pleasant and helpful man. I explained my situation, we found a solution for a very reasonable price (£25 + £10 for delivery) and made plans that I was to confirm. I subsequently confirmed with another member of staff and was told Mike would ring me on the day of delivery.
He did ring on the morning of delivery and added a further £15 to the charge. When I queried this Mike became quite aggressive and said that I would need to pay the £15 for delivery. As I was desperate, I paid the charge over the phone.
The delivery driver arrived following two other deliveries nearby, so I was confused as to why Mike required me to pay £25 for delivery and £25 for a second hand mattress with stains from the van (albeit pocket sprung). When I called Mike to discuss this he became very aggressive a second time suggesting that he come and collect the mattress.
For a business that relies on repeat custom and word of mouth I am shocked at the incredibly poor standard of customer service and at the surprise charges. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. Frankly, it is a shame that I forced to give this oneundeserved star. read more
