Plus it is very reasonable as they only charges $22 per person for nine holes with a cart. We played there three times during the week all three times on the front nine. Beautiful building with easy parking, greeted almost immediately from the hostess. Hostess was not dressed as fancy as the establishment, so maybe it's not that fancy? Live piano music while we dined was a nice touch. Waiter arrived a few minutes after we were sat. Apologies for us having to wait, no problem. Sister and I both had a cosmo and Mom went with water with lemon. We all ordered the Prime rib, myself a queen and my sister and Mom the King cut, mom wants the end piece well done. Bread came and we sat and chatted. While chatting I became animated and knocked into my glass and spilt my drink. No one was around to ask for something to pick up the spill, had to use my dinner napkin. The waiter asked if I was OK, told him I needed another napkin and why, but never asked if I wanted another drink. Dinner comes out after 25 minutes, it's a busy night, we see that. With in seconds my Mom wants to send hers back, the end cut was 75% fat! Who sends that out? Waiter apologized profusely and took her plate away for a new cut of meat. After 5 minutes of waiting, sister and I started taking from our plates to give to her so she could eat with us. I still have no napkin and no drink except the water. My sister declares she is done and the waiter comes with Moms dinner and my napkin. More apologies and he is now frazzled so he walks away. Never asked if I wanted another drink. So now that window is closed. Boxes for my left overs and most of mom's meal. She basically ate from our plates because it took so long. Dessert menu is given, we all ordered coffee and a dessert. Carrot cake came out drizzled with caramel and too much of it that it took away from the carrot cake flavor. Only ate a quarter of it, took the rest home. While we are eating the chef comes out and starts talking to the table next to us about their experience but never leaves or asks any other guests how their meal was. An apology from him would have been great as to why Moms replacement took another 25 minutes. They really do try to be more than what the reality of the situation is. The potential is there but needs a strong lead to pull it together. A F&B person myself I saw that it was every other table type of serving which ultimately leads to poor service. Stations are for optimal results in my experience. Servers tend to not like that because they will not get seated enough, but if there are reservations, seating evenly is a no brainer. I'm pretty sure Mom is going to want to come back but for me, I think I'll recommend another place. Keep trying, you'll get there.

Skyview has a practice/warmup area that most courses would env. The practice greens was very fast, actually faster than the ones on the course. They also have a serviceable chipping area and driving range to work on your game. Most of the holes are right in front of you, no real tricks, it does boast some of the highest points in Florida, which I would certainly agree with. The par fives are long but fair (all over 530 yards but downhill), the par fours are challenging and the par three's are a mixture of mid to long (two par three's over 200 yards from the tips). The only negative or drawback was that during our entire round we didn't see not one cart person for much needed refreshments. Other than that it was a sensational December day to golf in West Central Florida. Hopefully I'll see you on the tee box soon.

Flags were removed so no one would touch them during play, carts were cleaned before every use, and tee times were spaced out enough that we didn't have to worry about people lining up. The facility is well maintained with the exception of Club House. It has been voted many times in Top 100 course in US and Top 5 in Florida. There are two courses, Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks with a short practice 9 holes. That is a total of 27 holes. There are many driving or practice area. You have no problem of finding a practice area. Ideally it is a nice place to take a 3-5 days' score improvement program here. For the two days we played, the greens are fast and undulating. The fairways are lush, fairly wide and ascetically pleasing with huge sand and or waste area. Yes, you can ground your club without problem here in the sand! The architecture of the course is simply impressive. Pine Barrens is my favorite of the two courses. Rolling Oaks was pretty good but not same level of difficulty. Although I did not lose a single ball for two days, you must play the "smart" shot and not to show off your swing skills. Be prepared to lower your expectation and move the tee forward! The staff are professional, accommodating in the Pro shop, Bag Drops and the restaurant. Rangers are friendly, monitoring the pace of play and not a distraction. Nevertheless, due to the large terrain, it took us 5 hours to finish the play! World Woods needs two improvements; Club House and GPS. Club House need improvement to provide better food for breakfast, lunch and possible dinner with more beer, wine and alcoholic beverage and some extensive hours. Now, the kitchen close at 3:00 PM! At best, it is a greasy spoon operation. If they have some hotel, lodging or resort amenities on site, this will become a top-notch or elite Golf Vacation Destination. Yes, GPS is extremely helpful to navigate through the challenging hills and trees. With some improvement, World Woods would be in league of Black Diamonds, Streamsong, Disney and PGA National. Woohoo! For a public course, it is a four and half stars! It is definitely a real gem and will return again and again!

Has sort of a North Carolina feel to it with all the tall pine trees. Pine Barrens is consistently ranked in the Top 100 courses in the US and Top 5 in Florida. There are two 18 hole courses (Rolling Oaks is the other one), a nine hole short course and the largest driving range you will ever see. The greens are fast and undulating. The clubhouse is modest but well stocked. The course was in excellent condition. Don't pass up a chance to play here. We were paired up with a club pro from Puerto Rico and his friend from Miami. Never been so easy to catch a big snook then staying at the Plantation Inn. They have a pontoon that take you out to shelf of seagrass around 6 feet deep and you snorkel for scallops. Look for the blue eyes or dots, blue dots on the edge of the shell. They jet around when you try to harvest them/grab them, which is so cool, kids will love the experience. We had a visitor while scalloping, two manatees and thier baby manatee. It could not have gotten any more magical. Manatees have hands inside their mit of a glove flipper. The Manatee grabbed my hand and we started swimming around the spring together. I don't take drugs or acid, but this was probably the equivalent of that experience.

Having played this course many times , in my opinion , the fairways are pretty rough overall and the greens are inconsistent , that is some dirt and various grass types for a putting surface. There are no ball wash stations on the course. The staff is very friendly and helpful . The club house has sandwiches , hot dogs and chili as well as soft drinks , water and beer. Good place for a quick casual round or play it twice to get in 18 holes.

The facilities are amazing, staff members are helpful and friendly, and great food (must try the tuna in a cup). We played both the Roost and Karoo courses and winded down one of the nights on the Wedge course. Each round was unique and wide open, so let it rip! The greens are super challenging, but very fun! One mediocre restaurant on site, terrible service all around. Every person I talked to completely agreed and will not be back. I can't fathom how they can get away with the price points for what you get. Lesson learned. They should be embarrassed.
