Patient Beware! If you go to this office beware if you are a first time patient. I went in for a…read moreregular cleaning and they said I would need a "deep cleaning" and xrays. I only wanted a regular cleaning, which was quoted at $199 for new patients (including the xray). I was charged $730 on the spot and stupidly paid this thinking it would be sent to my insurance provider and I would be reimbursed the $531 and the insurance rcvd the claim. Boy was I wrong! I got a bill in the mail requesting and additional $509 be sent to their office. The insurance company paid $240.50 and on their claim it showed a total bill of over $1,500. So, this bill and claim are telling me it cost $2,000 for a cleaning and xrays. They informed I was provided a "deep cleaning" which is very expensive. First of all they did not discuss the charges with me before providing me care AND they provided me unnecessary care that was not needed in order to rack up my bill. I put my trust in this office to provide me with what is only necessary and they ended up doing an excessive amount of xrays. One panoramic xray and then bite wing xrays...why was there a need to do an extra xray, no explanation. I have been calling them every day for 4 days to get an itemized statement of the $730 I paid for and the form I signed, while I was in the chair being prepped for the cleaning. I keep getting told their software system is down and they don't know when it will be up and running and aren't able to give me these documents. The office calls my emergency contact, first, and leaves a voicemail. The emergency contact informs them to call me so they do. I ask for these documents again and am told the same as above, their system is down. I inform them of the bill I received and he tells me they are going to waive it and credit my account. I don't want a credit as I will NEVER go here again as it is the sketchiest practice I've ever encountered in 30 years. I inform that I tried to come in yesterday to discuss this in person to see how they're going to make it right. He informs me that the N Padre office is closed most of the time as they do not have enough patients and are located at their Everhart office. I request to have a meeting scheduled with him (Ron) and the Doctor. He states we can't do so as their N Padre office is closed and I ask what about the Everhart office. He states no we can do this over the phone and I mention that I absolutely do not want this handled over phone and think it's best we all meet in person and discuss how they're going to make this right and AGAIN requested itemized list of the $730 I paid for and the signed form I signed. He stated these are always provided to the patient when they check out. I state I was not provided either of these. He says ok well let me get my computer up and running and then he hung up on me. I STRONGLY URGE ANYONE LOOKING FOR A DENTIST TO GO TO ANOTHER OFFICE. THIS ONE IS SKETCHY AND WILL RACK UP YOUR BILL BY DOING UNNCESSARY PROCEDURES.
