Checked out a few in town but I liked the non competitive atmosphere here. Jane (the owner) is the most personable manager you'd ever want to meet. The motto is that everyone is a star (and at the end of the year everyone gets a medal). Some kids do get trophies but not for competition reasons. They have programs for all level kids and everyone regardless of age, ambition, ability or socioeconomic level is treated equally. My daughter has been in intensive ballet for four years now and is in her second year of toe. She's given the drive and push she needs to succeed without creating an environment similar to certain reality show nightmares. She's worked her way onto performance team. It's something she's wanted since 2nd grade and she's happiest when she's there. She's just finished her second year on team. She is happiest when she's with her PT gang. If you want your child to enjoy himself/herself I suggest you go there. Everyone is equal and Jane and her daughter Meghan are available almost 24/7 via phone, email, txt, FB chat -- the only thing I haven't personally tried is FaceTime but I suspect if I needed to they'd make it happen (everyone deserves some down time). These ladies truly care about the whole student. What matters is that the focus isn't solely on how they dance. Taking the personal feelings of each student into account is part of the corner stone of what they hold near & dear to their teaching philosophy. Ms. Katelyn McMahon, the director of the ballet program, is very knowledgable and trustworthy. She is hard on her students but truly wants the best for them, and pushes them to succeed. Not only is she an outstanding ballet teacher she is also incredibly knowledgable about dance related injuries and physical therapy. I can not stress enough how much of an amazing person and teacher she is. She truly goes above and beyond. Jane, the owner, and her daughter Meghan, an assistant director, know each student individually and always makes sure all students feel welcome. I would feel comfortable talking to them about dance and non-dance related issues. Overall, after attending another dance school for a few years where I felt unwanted, I feel truly blessed to have come across CPA, when I was looking for a new dance school. The ballet intensive program is truly an intensive, complete with levels, auditions, end of year evaulations and teacher/parent conferences. I would highly recommend CPA to anyone, no matter what level or age. Truly an amazing, welcoming enviorment with highly qualified teachers and outstanding dance training.

This local theatre is a Reading institution and is such an important part of our community, helping young and old refine their theatrical talents. The beloved Hose House has been completely re-done and the new sound and digital capabilities are excellent. That being said, it still holds the old school charm that I remember and love so much! Last night I saw the performance 'Songs for a New World' and it was moving, funny, and rich with talent. A talented cast and a great show. I highly recommend stopping by and catching this show while it is in town this November!

She was enrolled in a week of theater and multiple weeks of art instruction with a wide array of art classes to choose from. With an artshow each Friday, we enjoyed the opportunity to see the the kids amazing artwork on display. We ended up with multiple frame-worthy pieces, one of which the clerk at the frame shop said she'd never have guessed was created by a 6 year old, it was that good. My daughter had a great time, the staff was fantastic, they offered before and after care which was critical for us working full time and we were incredibly pleased by the overall experience. We re-enrolled for February vacation, are planning for summer camp, and see ourselves as lasting patrons for the years to come.

They offer various programs like soccer and chess and always find ways to keep it interesting for the kids with new fun activities. They have also had guest speakers for the parents and events like a Spring Carnival for the entire family. I was hesitant after reading the review here on Yelp about an abrupt closure a few years back due to staff leaving. The school is under new ownership since reopening and the owners Johann and Mark are wonderful!! I'm so glad we ended up here. This is by far the best child care setting we have experienced.

She used the kids she teaches as an excuse to pay a contractor less. Disgusting. Stay away. The owner then went out of her way to leave me a negative review, which impacts my business and me making a living. We never worked together but she felt it necessary to leave a negative, dishonest review as if we worked together. Shameful behavior. I can't imagine what disgusting practices she implements when running her business and working with kids.
