Recently, my boyfriend recovered one of his uncle's old vintage posters of the Jimi Hendrix Experience from the 60's in an attic. I asked Pablo if he would be able to flatten it, mount it, and place it in a matted frame as a gift for my boyfriend. I think some of the customers who left negative reviews 1. possibly selected the wrong type of printing business for the project they needed and 2. did not understand/follow spec guidelines that are clearly outlined on the Mimosa Digital website. I find the website (although a little outdated, aesthetically) extremely easy to use, and full of very useful information for collaboratively creating a successful print. When it comes to services like this, its 50/50 customer & printer responsibility. I would highly recommend Mimosa Digital to any design student, designer, or business professional looking for high quality prints. I have yet to use their other services but they offer so many different products and I'm excited to try some of them out now that my business is growing.

Beth Schiffer's prints of artworks are superb! We brought 2 pastel portraits to Beth which were…read more personally given to us by Dinah Washington in 1962. They had significant meaning to us and it was our intention to have them copied prior to donating them to a museum. Beth made a set of proofs and the final prints. She generously gave us the proofs along with the final prints. The difference between the final prints and the proofs was minor, but Beth is an artist of digutal printing and puts considerable skill and effort into her digital reproductions. I work with the estate of a world renowned artist and we needed color correction before…read morepromoting/selling a series of prints, which would have been ongoing (for dozens of images), so I reached out to Beth about the color correction and was impressed when I received an instant response. Then it all went downhill. She asked: "Do you just need assistance with the corrections or do you also want me to provide you with prints? I'm asking because if you want prints, you might want to come in while We are printing them and approve the files." When I responded that we only needed color correction, she advised me that: "I feel it would be in your best interest to have me do the printing if I do the color correcting so we can be sure you're happy with how the file, once corrected, looks when it's printed. Can you please tell me the type of print you'd like , size and quantity and the price you're getting? I'll do my best to give you a better price." My reply: "we already started the series of LE prints on a certain paper type, so that would have to remain consistent. We tested a dozen paper types to decide which made the images explode off the page, while retaining depth and colour." Her response? NOTHING I emailed again 12 days later and again, NO response and nothing since. This was in June (12th & 24th) and it's now August. Completely unprofessional and she lost out on an ongoing partnership (we have hundreds of images) simply because she chose to look out for her interest (earning more money on the prints) rather than ours, the client's.
