A group of four of us had lunch here recently and from the moment we walked in, we were blown away. The space is stunning with lush floral installations draping from the pergola ceiling, gorgeous scalloped amber umbrellas, rattan chairs, and a breathtaking waterfront view of the Miami River with yachts docked right outside. The food delivered on every front. We started with the Crispy Calamari served with a lemon-caper aioli that had us scraping the bowl clean. Our Virgin Margaritas were just as thoughtfully crafted as any cocktail menu, refreshing and gorgeous to look at. The Seafood Capellini was the star of the table, a silky pasta with shrimp in a lemon-butter cream sauce that was absolutely dreamy. We finished with the Chocolate Temptation cake and the Gelato Pistachio, both wonderful ways to end the meal. Service was warm and attentive throughout. I live so close to Elia on the River and somehow never stopped in, and I am genuinely upset with myself about that because this place is beautiful. Like, stop and look around beautiful. I got there around 5:30 for a mojito making class that started at 6 and got to catch happy hour first, which was a great move. The cocktails were delicious and the pizza was $10, a great portion, and absolutely yummy. Already a win before the class even started. The class was led by Gio Gutierrez and it was such a good time. About ten or eleven of us gathered at the bar and we got to make two mojitos, the classic and a modern version, and then obviously drink them, which is the best part. We even got a little recipe card to take home so we can recreate them later. Halfway through I was texting my boyfriend like, I found our new spot. That's how you know it's good. It's right by the water, the vibe is relaxed and beautiful, the staff made everyone feel welcome, and the whole experience just felt really special without being pretentious. I genuinely hope they keep doing these classes because it takes a great restaurant to create such a great atmosphere and overall experience. 10 out of 10, go for the food, stay for the mojito class, and maybe also text someone you love because you're going to want to bring them back! read more

I went for brunch one weekend at prime time where they had a live jazz band playing. The volume was very loud and the music played throughout the entire restaurant through connected speakers . They were good, but thenoise level makes it difficult to hear the person next to me. I noticed other tables with more than one person were screaming at each other to carry a conversation, which gave the whole restaurant more of a cafeteria vibe. As for the food, the salmon shakshuka was really just salmon on top of marinara sauce, the smoked salmon flatbread ended up just being a pizza with no sauce, the burrata was decently flavored but the tomatoes weren't the ripest. overall, i think i would only go to sit at a table by the water to enjoy the view with some classic cocktails (their specialty cocktails were all very sweet). read more

Elia's Jazz Brunch is honestly the perfect way to spend a beautiful sunny Sunday. The moment you walk into this restaurant, you're surrounded by shimmering imported marbles and stunning hand painted murals. The entire restaurant is open concept, giving you panoramic views of the river and passing yachts. Stepping outside to their patio seating is like stepping into a beautifully decorated garden. Here, you'll have better views of the river and later in the evening, the golden Miami sunset acts as the perfect backdrop. From here, you'll be able to dock your boat and walk right into the restaurant. I cannot emphasize the outstanding service we received from the staff here. From the wait staff to the managers, everyone was delightful and made certain my unlimited mimosa glass was never empty. Someone even noticed I didn't have their complimentary brunch fan and brought one to my table. The food was absolutely delicious! We waited over an hour past our reservation time and even arrived early . We specifically asked for a table outdoors and was told those only accommodate bigger parties even though we were 4 and we reserved it. We were pretty much told thats not available for you so sit here at this other table or idk what to tell you. Food was ok but it's pricy for what you get. I reserved this place for 13 people for my friends Bachelorette Dinner! We went on a Thursday night. It happened to be ladies night, where they offer complimentary champagne! My group was able to enjoy this and mingle while we waited for our reservation. Because we had a large group, we had to do a prix fixe menu. We chose meatballs, pizza, & greek salad as apps. For the main course, i had the gnocchi and was also able to taste the chicken cutlet. For dessert, they gave us sample platters of all their desserts. Every item was soo good. VERY GOOD! My friends and I went for lunch. I had Chicken Milanese. It was delicious but was served with a salad instead of pasta which was disappointing. My friends had spicy rigatoni, rustic salad and paglia e fiend. They all loved their entrees as well. The hummus appetizer, bread and pistachio bliss dessert and Hugo spritz were all very good. Celebrated a friend's birthday at Elia and it was fantastic! The restaurant is beautiful and is right next to the river where you get a beautiful view of the boats/yachts cruising by. Drinks: I tried the lychee martini which was fresh and delicious!! Food: Our table got an assortment of choices from their menu and they were all amazing! I got the seafood capellini and I loved it! It was creamy and buttery and the shrimp were cooked perfectly! The lamb chops looked so delicious and my friend was very happy with them! She thought they were cooked perfectly and had so much flavor! You can't go wrong with a Spicy Rigatoni and it was definitely enjoyed. Sometimes they can be a little spicy but my boyfriend mentioned it definitely had a kick and he really liked it more than other places! The Rustic Pizza looked so good with the burrata and I am definitely trying it next time but my friend said it was his favorite pizza that he has tried! Came here on a Friday night with no reservation so we (party of 2) were told it'd be about an hour wait. Luckily, it wasn't that long but in the mean time we sat by the bar. That specific day they have a DJ that plays from 5 pm so it was a bit difficult to have a conversation as it was pretty loud. Nonetheless, upon arrival you see how beautiful the aesthetic is of the restaurant and the back story (shown on the menu) makes it even cuter! For my appetizer i got the Bruschetta which was good but very flimsy so I couldn't eat it with my hands bc it felt apart. My entree of choice was the Chicken Paillard which I got with a side of mashed potatoes instead of the side salad. It was ok, nothing to rave about. They do have the Miami Spice menu from Sunday-Thursday and also a lunch special in the week at certain hours. I'd definitely want to return in the day time to be able to appreciate the art on the walls better and have a nice scenic view (boats pass by frequently). Ambiance is absolutely stunning. Truly one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever been to. The tuna and salmon tartar was delicious and fresh, though we could have used more bread. Service was attentive, but our server was really pushy. When one of our vegetarian friends said she wanted the burrata without prosciutto, he tried to push her to get a greek salad instead (what?). People eat bread with burrata and tomato without prosciutto all the time, and it was weird to push her to get something completely different when that was what she wanted to eat. I had a mixed experience at Elia Miami. I booked standard indoor seating, but upon arrival they initially tried to seat me at a high-top that was basically outside. When I mentioned this wasn't what I reserved, the host's response felt dismissive. I escalated the issue to the manager, and to her credit, she moved us as soon as a table opened -- I appreciated that. The ambiance was great, and while the food wasn't terrible, it was very underwhelming for the price. There are plenty of places in Miami where you can have a significantly better meal for about half the cost. The ribeye was easily the worst cut of meat I've ever had, and the rigatoni was mid at best -- and served cold. Dessert was also frustrating. We asked if they had affogatos, and our server said he could "make it happen." What we received was a single espresso shot with a small spoon of gelato -- not even a full scoop -- for $12. The restaurant has seating inside and outside, and is absolutely GORGEOUS (very pink and fem) - making this perfect for a date, mothers day or girlfriends outing spot. THE FOOD: On our visit, we were a group of 11 and decided to only order a few drinks, appetizers and two pizzas. We ordered ALL the apps on the menu (wasnt able to snap pics of all), a cheese and a pepperoni pizza. All were good and felt very fresh, but there wasnt that "wow" factor in anything. I had this restaurant on my list of must try places for the past couple of weeks, and I am so glad I had the chance to finally come. I decided to take my mom here for lunch and we both enjoyed our experience. The restaurant is absolutely stunning. The space was decorated beautifully and the outdoor space was so serene. My mom and I ordered the hummus and salmon and tuna tartare to start. Both items were delicious and the portions were perfect for sharing. I had the chicken parm and it was massive. I was only able to eat a third of it. It came with a arugula salad, which I wasn't a fan of, but only because I personally do not like arugula. My mom had the lamb chops were hug as well and super tender. She loved them. My only critique of the restaurant is that I did feel a bit rushed by my server which was extremely off putting; especially consider we can on a Monday afternoon and the restaurant was more than half empty. You know those random stops when after a busy work day, gym and walking but you still manage to wander somewhere fancy? This was me Monday at Elia. It was open around 10 pm and while I wasn't as fancy as the yacht life folks, I secured a spot at the bar. For one, they have live music even on Mondays covering a great mix of Marc Anthony, Celia and others. My burrata salad was a cool creamy bowl flavored with basil pesto, baby tomatoes and seasoned with a yummy mix of balsamic vinegar and a tomatillo sauce. Fresh bread rounded out the appetizer portion. The main event was a deliciously large chicken paillard more casually known as grilled chicken. It was very well grilled yet tender and flavorful, even without the fresh chimichurri. The salad included more of the baby tomatoes along with pickled onions, carrot slices and fresh greens. Since I had come straight from both a HIIT and a walking workout, I skipped on dessert. However, I did indulge a glass of Pinot Grigio which was refreshing enough to unwind and detox from the stressful afternoon at work. As others mentioned, it might've been a little pricier than say the health food store on the opposite end of the mall, but it makes sense to hear you're paying for the vibe, the views and music. When we sat down we were immediately served complimentary bread. I didn't get to try it, but the foccacia looked great. Their list of wines by the glass also had some solid options, which isn't always the case in Miami. I had the rustic salad with grilled salmon. I liked the salad, although the salmon was just okay. They serve it with the skin on, but it wasn't crispy. I didn't love the sogginess of it. My companions had the chicken paillard and the chicken milanese -- they both enjoyed their meals. Happy Hour on the water with live music. Absolutely!! I pop in occasionally at River landing to go to the shops. And ride past by boat more often and always put a pin in stopping in. Finally timing aligned and I am really glad that it did. Delicious happy hour bites and drinks and my kind of vibes. On top of really good service across the board. Honorable mention goes to our server Mia though for being so sweet and attentive. We tried the spicy rigatoni, margherita pizza, meatballs, caprese, and for dessert I forget the exact name of the pistachio sorta cheese cake. Overall, the food absolutely made the wait worth it. Our reservation was for 8:30 PM, but we waited about 40 minutes before being seated. While we waited, we grabbed drinks at the bar. The live music added a nice touch, though it was definitely on the louder side. The drinks were good and clearly made with care, though we did have to ask the bartender to mix our two cocktails together since one was much stronger than the other--even though they were the same drink. He fixed it quickly, and after that they were perfect. We were seated at a table right between the indoor and outdoor areas; even though we had requested outdoor, and it was HOT. Still, the décor and overall ambiance were beautiful, just a bit loud because of the music. Since it was already getting late, we placed our order right away. Unfortunately, our bruschetta didn't arrive until the same time as our entrées: the Kansas steak (special) and spicy rigatoni. The food ended up taking about 40 minutes. To their credit, management noticed and went above and beyond to make things right. They comped the bruschetta and offered us a complimentary dessert and drink, which we really appreciated. And truthfully: the food was DELICIOUS. We devoured everything. Aside from ending up eating past 10 PM for an 8:30 reservation, the overall experience was enjoyable. Couple things kept our group from liking this place more than three stars. Food is above average, but can be pricey on some items. Example: daily special Branzino (Mediterranean Sea Bass) was "market priced" at $46. Typically this should be $30-$40, so make sure you ask unless you don't care what you pay. Cocktails are expensive at $27 w/ tax & tip added. Menu doesn't state prices for these, so wonder if they make them up based on what they think you can afford. An Aperol Spritz should not be $27 when including tax & tip, even in Miami. The glass was filled entirely with ice... Disappointing... The Elia Bellini, @ $27, was above average and with a good amount of liquor (see pic). Another negative is the "forced" 20% "service charge". Typically this is charged for large groups, not for two or four people. Service was good, but this is not something you see at nice restaurants. Anytime a restaurant does this I don't leave anything more regardless of how good the experience was. And what happened to the tipping standard of 15%? High cost is why people are eating out less and less... Ambiance is very "Miami" looking. Inside seating is quaint even though you can see everyone across the restaurant. Some tables have couches on one side. Outside seating is completely covered with a pretty view of the Miami River. Restaurant is located on the ground floor of the River Landing retail center. Parking in the attached garage is free for the first two hours. Then $5 for the third hour. Nice to do some walking around after dinner with TJ Maxx, Ross and Burlington. I see you have indoor and outdoor seating, a bar....by any chance do you have TVs at the bar?" "We are NOT a sports bar. (Insert eye roll here) If you want something like that, you can go to Lime next door". "Well, there are plenty of nice restaurants that are not sports bars that have TVs like Hillstones or Bayshore Club...." "We are NOT that type of place. That's not our vibe here" At this point, I took a pic of the brunch menu and left.
