Beware - Honest Review Deleted, Poor Service, and Health Risks I'm reposting this review because the owner had my original honest review removed after we refused their offer to delete it in exchange for a full refund. That alone should speak volumes. Take a close look at their reviews - you'll see mostly 5 stars, and the negative ones often disappear after the business offers refunds in return for silence. Sure, I would've appreciated getting my $400 back too, but not at the cost of compromising my integrity. The actual cleaning job was horrible. Instead of removing dust and debris, they spread it throughout our home. I came back 6 hours after their so-called "duct cleaning" and immediately had a severe allergy flare-up. My biggest concern, though, is that my 2-year-old daughter was home during the entire process, breathing in all of that dust and debris. She's a toddler--she can't express that she's having trouble breathing. If the technician knew the work would kick up so much dust, why didn't they advise us to leave the house? After posting my review, they had the audacity to send hateful messages. This is no way to run a business. Instead of accepting responsibility, they try to silence customers. Take caution. This was not only a waste of money, but also a serious health hazard for my family.

Unfortunately, my experience with Elite Air was disappointing and unprofessional. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise (our original appointment was rescheduled due to the technician falling ill, which we were happy to accommodate), the follow-up experience fell short of basic customer service expectations. We were rescheduled for a Friday between 8-10 AM. By 9 AM, I had received no updates or ETA from the company. I attempted to reach them using several contact numbers listed on their Instagram and stories -- one number was even disconnected, and the others went unanswered. Around 9:30 AM, I finally received an IG message and was told I'd get an ETA soon. By 10 AM, I still hadn't heard back. At that point, I canceled the appointment and expressed my frustration with their lack of communication. I will not be reaching out to them again for any services and, frankly, I'm relieved I didn't move forward with having them clean our air ducts and dryer vents. When a technician or service provider fails to communicate reliably, it's often a preview of the overall professionalism you can expect. In this case, it spoke volumes. I won't be gaslit into accepting their version of events when it's clear this situation was entirely within their control. The lack of communication and follow-through speaks for itself, and instead of acknowledging that, Jean has chosen to deflect responsibility. I'm not interested in excuses--just accountability.

We called them for their $199 promo to clean out the air ducts with the negative pressure machine and to clean out our dryer vent. When they came, we were told our options were for $799 or $1499 cleaning due to our dryer vent being on the roof. The $799 "deep cleaning" involved spraying bleach into our ducts and wiping it around with a brush for a few minutes. Our house smelled like bleach for multiple days even with all the windows and back door open. I texted them multiple times asking for the bio labels and if it was normal for the house to smell like bleach for days and never got a response. They also only took cash or Venmo (no credit card or checks), which seems like a sketchy business practice (maybe trying to avoid taxes?) On top of all that the techs were weird and asked to use our bathroom as well as to charge his phone in our house with our charger.

Update: they threaten lawsuits and small claims due to defamation but all footage proves there's no false statements made. Shows the character of the owner and business they're operating. Original review: 2 hours late and upcharges you. Avoid the bait and switch and go with someone else. Quoted $199 for up to 8 vents but inspects the home and says need "deep cleaning" then asks for $499. I stupidly agreed for them to move forward, huge regret! Doesn't use or bring a vacuum during the cleaning of each individual vent with dust and debris throughout the house. Asks to use our dyson to clean up and still leaves a big mess. Choose a different company and don't waste your money and time.

I had a very disappointing experience with this company in the past. Not only was the service itself below expectations, but after I left an honest review about the poor service, they actually called me asking to remove it. This is unprofessional and shows a lack of accountability instead of addressing the real issue--improving their customer service. Customers deserve transparency and respect, not pressure to hide honest feedback. I am currently still receiving threatening text messages and harassing phone calls about the review I left months ago. Hopefully management will take care of this issue soon. read more

Yelpers beware! This is not a real company. Yelp says "license verified." Do your own due diligence and look them up on the California State Licensing Board before hiring IF you want a licensed contractor for your work: https://www.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/CheckLicense.aspx. Any job more than $500 (including materials) must be done by a licensed contractor. Note also that the address given in their profile does not exist (you can verify this with Googlemaps street view). Contractors are required to provide a contract before starting work, and may only require a 10% deposit. I gave them $900 (a 30% deposit) to repair my chimney. They employed pressure tactics to rush it through due to the coming storm (the one just before Christmas), but they never provided me with a legal contract. I refused to let them work without one. Now it is proving very hard to recover my money for a job not done. So know your rights. Hire them if you like, but don't trust what they tell you, and check your facts before you provide them $$. Caveat emptor. read more

Our dryer wasn't working and kept giving us the error code of d90 which meant that the dryer vent was clogged with lint. Leo came out scheduled to clean our dryer vent. He noticed that our vent was already clean and found the issue was that our elbow pipe in the attic was disconnected. He attached it for us up there which leads to the outside. Carlos was very quick to respond and sent over two of his guys the very next day after I initially sent the online request for a quote at 9pm the night before. They were very professional and efficient and just after a few minutes of starting the job, they were able to remove so much trapped lint including a huge strand of lint that even shocked them. They continued to remove a bunch more lint and cleaned up everything once they were done. I came across an offer from an affiliate of Home Depot for an AC tune-up for $8.88. Thought it was…read morea great bargain, and I'm sure many of you would too. So I'm going to give you a forewarning, it's a classic bait-and-switch (i.e get your foot in the door and then upsell). I was recommended a hard-start kit (aka compressor saver) and an air purification system. The cost? $1,800+. I told the tech that that's a bit steep for me, so he said, how much could you afford? I said maybe closer to $1,500. The tech called his manager and inform me that they would do it for that price. Initially, I was happy to receive a 20% discount. That is of course, until I googled the PlasmaPure 600 Series and the hard-start kit they sold me after the technician left, and discovered I paid $1,200+ for 2 hours of labor. This was back in June 2025. Give or take 10 months later, my air conditioner stopped working. Normally, I don't turn the AC on during the winter season, but as luck would have it, Los Angeles is having record breaking heat. I haven't used the AC for several months, and I only had a tuneup a few months before that. So I called the same company to determine why my AC wasn't working (hoping that they would stand behind their work). Upon opening the equipment, the hard-start kit they installed in June had exploded. The cause, according to their tech, was that my AC compressor was grounded. The good news? Because my Lennox unit was less than 10 years old, it's still under warranty. The cost to install and repair it? Over $5,000...yikes! :-z But the $88 you paid us today to inspect the unit will go towards the cost of the installation. That's how they get you by the way, by offering you a lower inspection charge. Since this company pulled a fast one on me last time, I decided to get a second opinion. I called Around the Clock considering it was them who initially installed my Lennox unit. They sent Oleg Stopsky out the very same day (I should mention that the other company took over a week to schedule a tech to come out). He confirmed that the compressor is in fact grounded. But because I'm a repeat customer, the cost of labor would be less than 1/3rd of what this other company quoted me. Additionally, the $125 I paid to have them come out to inspect, would be discounted from my total cost. I wanted to get a 3rd opinion just to make sure. I hate to say it, but when you're a solo female, you can easily get duped. When it comes to mechanical stuff, most technicians just assume you don't know any better...and in my case, it's somewhat true. That's why finding an honest company is so important. I contacted a company that was affiliated with Costco. They said they would give me a complimentary inspection. They too said that the unit was under warranty but their quote to repair was more than double of what Around the Clock offered me. I was glad that Around the Clock was the lowest because they were the most expedient and pleasant to work with. So as soon as Lennox sent Around the Clock the compressor, the contactor, and the capacitor, they scheduled Oleg to come out the very next day. I felt really bad because my AC is located on the roof of my building and we had record breaking heat today. But despite the unbearable heat, he remained jovial throughout. He did a superb job and was kind enough to install a permanent dryer filter when he learned that I had weak lungs. And just to show how honest they are, I asked Oleg if I should install a hard-start kit as recommended by the last technician, (because the previous one they installed in June exploded), he told me no. That since we replaced both the capacitor and the contactor (which were also under warranty), it's no longer necessary. This is probably why he's been with this company for over 25 years...because he's honest. I also like that I'm supporting a Ukrainian business. No more paying technicians from multiple companies to come out and inspect in the future. My HVAC company of choice is now Around the Clock. I'm so relieved to have air conditioning again...hallelujah!!

Dear Elite Air, I discovered your company on Yelp and was impressed by your prompt and professional response to my initial inquiry. I spoke with a representative who quoted me $99 to clean my dryer vent. I clarified that I reside in a condominium and that the dryer vents to the roof, which is easily accessible via the building's emergency stairwell. I was told there might be a small additional charge due to the roof access. The technician arrived on time and was courteous and professional. I showed him the dryer and accompanied him to the roof to point out the exhaust pipe. There were no complications. He retrieved his equipment from the vehicle, completed the service efficiently in under 30 minutes, and appeared to do a thorough job. However, I was shocked when he informed me the total cost would be $650. This was a significant and unexpected increase from the $99 quote I received over the phone and by email. When I asked for an explanation, he mentioned that cleaning the roof vent and vacuuming behind the dryer warranted the additional charge. I asked him to contact your office, as I felt misled and should have been informed in advance of any such substantial price increase. When I stated that I expected to pay around $150 based on the scope of work, the technician offered to settle the bill for $250, which I paid. While I have no issue with the quality of the work or the technician's conduct, I am deeply disappointed by your pricing practices. BEWARE! RUN! No integrity. They called my husband offering to do the service for free if I remove my bad review. I said no, since I don't want their shady company or employees to return. They offered then to give us $250 if we remove the initial review. Thinking that honesty can be bought. They then flagged and reported my review to Yelp in hopes that it gets removed. No luck!
